The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited(PS4). I am not much into MMO's and such but this is quite fun. A lot of the quests are similar to the quests in your average single-player Elder Scrolls RPG, you even get to make choices every once in awhile. It's also fun to see people suddenly join you on your battle out of nowhere, it makes the most basic quests feel unique and memorable since you can also hear the players. I still haven't teamed up with a buddy but I can imagine that it would only add to the fun. The graphics look pretty dated but all of the characters are voiced(which is pretty well done for a game this massive) and the world feels alive. There are also raids and large scale pvp battles but I still haven't tried any of those. In short, the only complaint I've had with this game so far has been the graphics, the rest is superbly done. Compared to a game like Destiny, it has a lot more to offer whether you're playing solo or with a friend.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The graphics are atrocious but the rest of the game is just gold. I always love me some under appreciated Raven Software games.

Got myself The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for the PS4. Still waiting for the huge update to finish downloading. Apparently the game couldn't be fitted into one Blu-ray disc.

Man, this destroyed everything else at this e3 for me:

This is unexpected. Best of luck to Mr. Avellone in his future projects.

Took a break from The Witcher 3. Playing Wolfenstein: The Old Blood now. Feels and plays great for a standalone expansion that costs only 20 bucks.

I wouldn't mind seeing some new No Man's Sky gameplay footage.

That's one of dem dere Wadjet Eye point & clicks, right? I generally like their games, so I might have to give that a look-see. Speaking of Wadjet Eye point & click adventure games, I spent some 4 hours playing Primordia and it was awesome! The dialogue, the characters, the jokes, the puzzles, the setting, they all feel original. The graphics do leave something to be desired though, that was my only minor complaint with the game. So If you guys are looking for one of those point and click adventure, I think Primordia is definitely worth checking if you haven't already. Playing The Witcher 3 at the moment. Boy, the Wild at Heart side-quest gets really annoying and stupid towards the end.

Thoughts on Knights of the Old Republic
Katphood replied to Althernai's topic in Computer and Console
I bought Kotor 1 on steam, but of all the old games that I've managed to run on Win 7, this one simply doesn't want to work. It keeps crashing, the videos don't work and I've went through a great deal of trouble to patch this game to no avail. I would love to play it because of all the good things I've heard about it so far. I would also like to play Kotor 2 because, well, it was developed by Obsidian Entertainment. -
I am really loving the combat mechanics, they remind me of the Souls games. You can die fairly easy(even on the normal difficulty settings) if you go for button mashing. If you pay attention though, you can even take out stronger foes with timing and patience. This is a really good thing, because for me it's what made Demon's Souls such a joy to play.

Damn, you're right. But this isn't anything new. It does happen a lot that shops bring games a little earlier. But this is a legit copy I bought. *shrugs* I also noticed right now that the trophies haven't appeared yet. Probably because the game hasn't been officially released yet. I live in Tehran/Iran and the games here are usually either region 2 games from Emirates or region 1 games from the US. That's how things work in a 3rd world country I guess. I mentioned it here before but I also got Mass Effect 3 one week before the official release back then. On the game itself: It's awesome, right at the beginning I encountered an enemy that was pretty strong but with some patience, timed attacks, dodges and parries I managed to kill it.

Just got The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the PS4. The game came with the soundtrack disc, a map and two stickers. The packaging was also pretty neat. One hour into the game and it feels and looks great.

oh wow, I played that sooo much back in the day.. But didn't they do like a sequel remake in 2008? That was a reboot of the series which was developed by Propaganda Games which got defunct later on shortly after releasing that Tron game. The 2008 Turok games was not connected to any of the previous games or even the comics. It was simply the story of a space marine on some alien planet. The game was also known for it's bad aiming and controls.

I am on chapter 4 in The Witcher. Replaying it actually. going to import my saves for the second game. Haven't played The Witcher 2 yet. I wish there was a way to import your Witcher 2 saves to the PS4. My PC can't handle The Witcher 3.

Games haven't changed in terms of quantity. FarCry 4 for instance has a base game that is pretty big, but it has also dlcs, same goes for AC 4, Dying Light, Dark Souls series, Bloodborne etc etc. Actually, most games nowadays tend to jump on the sandbox bandwagon because they want to offer the players more replay value and such. What I miss most of the time is the atmosphere the games had back then, even with all the technical limitations of their time. Haven't seen any games like Planescape: Torment, Shadowman, Legacy of Kane, Jedi Knight or Blood 1 & 2 lately. It's really sad because when a developer tries to create something like Shadows of the Damned, Beyond Good and Evil or Psychonauts they are so heavily punished when it comes to sales that they lose all hope of going after the same direction twice. There are indie games that try to bring stuff back from the dead but you rarely see a AAA game developer go after something that is unique, instead they prefer to play it safe. Conclusion: You still have your Burger, Fries and your Drink for the same price, it's just that they don't taste that good anymore. You can buy a sallad instead but that will not fill your belly!

Dear Lord in Heavens, in case you exist, I simply whisper and not shout: Please let this be true!

Yeah, I've seen funny things happen in GTA Online but at the end of the day it is no fun at all. The heists could be worth checking out but there are lots of games that do that better(Payday, BF: Hardline). The single player portion of the game is fun as hell though. The world is so alive and interactive that it puts most role-playing games to shame.

Just got myself a black cat in Pillars of Eternity. Oh joy! <3 Getting a little further in this game and holy ****, I must admit that facing well armed human opponents is no walk in the park! I wonder how it must be to play this game on Expert Mode or Trial of Iron. It's still great fun though, I love how I got out of most situations without getting involved in much combat. Truly a well balanced game. Also, I met Durance... I also play some Borderlands 2 on the PS4. I decided to go with Zero this time around. It's great fun playing as zero, his special skills remind me of Lilith the Siren in the first game. Still, my favorite class remains The Mechromancer.

D4 is coming to PC. Yay!

Pillars of Eternity. This game plays very well, it really pays of to use different strategies. Big foes suddenly collapse like ants with the right strategy. I love my Orlan Cipher. I take control of a weaker foe, it starts attacking the bigger foe and by the time the big threat is over I simply finish up things by killing the smaller foe. I also like the different choices you can make around every corner and the fact that the result is not always what you think it is. Very engaging stuff! I am in love, of that I am sure!

Just got my Pillars of Eternity key for steam. Ohboyohboyohboy I am so excited. I am gonna sink deep into this one!
