  1. My crib(work in progress): Indie: Dogmeat giving birth to a...mirelurk cub:
  2. I never played any of the original Battlefront games. Shame on me. I actually have Battlefront II in my steam library. Might give it a shot one of these days.
  3. I haven't played Mordheim yet. melkathi is the expert but I am not sure if he has played any of the Battle Isle games. I saw a couple of youtube videos right now and the pace of the game(planning your actions, using skills based on the situation, watching your flank etc.) is sort of similar to Incubation.
  4. Don't know why but Mordheim reminds me of an old gem I used to play back in 1997: Incubation: Time is Running Out.
  5. Got my second Mirelurk Queen kill. I nearly wasted all of my ammo on her. Tough fight!
  6. In the game of video games, you either buy or die. A picture, 1000 words and all that: As you can see in the screenshot, each warrior gets to wear headwear (helmet, amulet or pendant) and armour (cloth, light or heavy). They get two weapon sets they can switch between. Then they have an inventory for consumables based on their strength value. this inventory is shared with their carrying/looting capacity during missions though. So filling that up means less grabbing wyrdstone. Equipment comes in three qualities: white, blue, purple. Blues and Purples can be enhanced with runes once you find the (rare) formulas. Mordheim was on my wishlist but thanks to melkathi it is now on the top of my to play list.
  7. More Fallout 4. Dogmeat feels incredibly alive. Don't want to swap him with any other companion.
  8. Can't wait for The Origins Collection to hit the PS4!
  9. Fallout 4. I am really obsessed with the settlement building options. Trying to fortify every settlement I come across. Haven't even touched the main quest yet. The game is a lot of fun despite its flaws, it really allows you play the game the way you want.
  10. I'm guessing those initial (utterly forgettable) characters are just fluff to fill your first settlement. You'll start meeting more interesting ones once you go deeper into the world. This. Sanctuary is basically a hub for collecting junk and crafting/building. The real show is outside of Sanctuary.
  11. I've been playing this game for 15+ hours without touching the main-quest and so far I've had a blast. The side-quests and random encounters are very amusing and fun and the weapons feel great. Sure, the game does have some shortcomings but they don't really bother me because there are a lot of things that this game does right. The characters for instance have a lot of personality and the voice acting is great. The graphics aren't that bad either. Sure, they aren't exactly "nexgen" but they are by not means ugly.I am playing this game on the PS4 btw and so far I've had only one crash but no stuttering or any texture issues. The game is a solid 8 out of 10 for me so far.
  12. They are quite annoying. I did that quest with the Minutemen where you are supposed to clean up a fortress. Good lord, there were a crap-ton of those things which are hard to kill and then suddenly one of those legendary Mirelurks shows up and while I am running away from the damn thing an even bigger Mirelurk(The Mirelurk Queen) shows up and starts hitting me with some sort of corrosive thing from the distance which drains my health and kills me with 2 hits! Gotta try taking that fortress with the Power Armor and the Minigun equipped later. The poor Minutemen are still waiting for me near the fortress!
  13. Played some more Fallout 4. I am starting to like it more than I initially did. I have left the main quest untouched and haven't visited Diamond City yet, instead I did some side-quests, and collected some junk to upgrade my weapons and my crib at Sanctuary. Some of the side-quests and objectives that you encounter during your travels are quite interesting. For instance: I met this other vault dweller that was being escorted as a prisoner by some super mutants. After getting rid of the super mutants he thanked me and ran towards another direction, I check my map and the location of his vault is now marked on my map. I check out the Vault but they decided not to let me in(after I failed the persuasion attempt) and now I have to fetch something for them to prove my loyalty if I want them to let me in. The characters seem to have more personality compared to Fallout 3. I also came across a new companion called Strong. The quest where you meet him is pretty awesome too. Give Fallout 4 some time and it will get better. Also check out some guides for crafting on youtube. Eurogamer.net had a few nice videos about crafting and companions and such.
  14. There are unique weapons that pop up when you kill legendary baddies but they aren't always useful.
  15. The "critical on demand" doesn't always kill the enemies. It's not a win button since there are so many legendary enemies that are overpowered, and sometimes they suddenly pop out of nowhere. Yes you can score criticals outside of VATS but it doesn't help much against tougher enemies. Enemy A.I. is simply awful. They only do one thing: run after you and hit you as soon as they get the chance. Fights usually get very chaotic and you are left there wondering which weapons to choose while ghouls are hitting you from all sides. But it doesn't just end there, pretty much EVERY enemy you encounter follows the same routine. Shooting mechanics have gotten better since Fallout 3 but it doesn't help that your enemies use little to no tactics when facing you. In conclusion: fights are boring. This game feels more like a hiking simulator.
  16. Fallout 4 sure is a tad harder than Fallout 3 or New Vegas. But I don't like how every single enemy I have encountered so far simply rushes towards me. Besides, why are most enemies lying on the ground and suddenly stand up and rush you once you are near them? Am I playing Dead Rising here? Also, those Legendary enemies are the worst, just some bullet sponge that is there to annoy you and make the game feel "tough" and "hard". Bethesda, you really messed up with this one. Fallout 4 is a nail in Beths open-world games coffin.
  17. What game is that melkathi? It sure looks sweet.
  18. You can't go "Minecraft" at all. You can only build/scavange for buidling material at certain settlements. This review pretty much explains whatever there is to know about the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFgbt1HIYzs
