Patch notes say they fixed 'some amount of save corruptions'. http://www.miserymod.com/?p=368

Don't like the latest patch for Misery so I won't be playing that any time. Might just spend some time tweaking it for myself. Instead, I've download the combat rebalance mod for the first Witcher. Gonna give that a go now.

It's a good gun. I wonder where they hid the green dragon...

So after a good battle with the mercenaries at their camp - I also had some help from some random stalkers roaming about - this is what I have. http://i.imgur.com/DG44wwR.jpg?1 A unique SVU, I upgraded from the sunrise suit to this unique armor (the helm came with it. I'm not that rich), and a decent-ish shotgun I got from hunting the chimera with the two other stalkers. Oh and I got a lot of money too from hunting artifacts and mutants. *insert notbad.jpg* I still have a controller to deal with in the tunnels and a god damn iron forest to go to. My first time going there was... something else. I mean, how the **** am I supposed to deal with one pseudogiant. two controllers, four burers, a bunch of zombies, and I am pretty sure I saw roaming pseudodogs there too. I didn't see any bloodsuckers but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a few of them. Thankfully I left that place before I aggroed any of them. Ridiculous. I need an army. And dogs are starting to get on my nerves too. Ha. A pack of them, to of which had around 30 of them, randomly spawned near the merc camp and most if not all of them locked on to me. I tried to get on a something high enough so I could at least have a chance. I did but it was too late. With no medkits left, I died right on top of a rock. All I you do is shake your head at moments like that...

I was lucky: a lot of duty members was there before I arrived and had killed most of them. Of course they looted the bodies before I got there, but on the bright side all I had to do was finish off four more near the house.

I found a unique akm at the top of Noah's boat! And it's broken! I'll never complete my grand master plan of killing all the bloodsuckers at their lair by my own hands, not gas. I need better weapons... and explosives. ^ I may just stop pursuing the above dream and start going to the helicopter crash sites. I haven't been to any of them yet. I mean, I'm more than ready - I have a sunrise suit with a gas mask, but still with the two starter weapons with the sniper class and I am starting to regret the sunrise suit. Should have saved up for the SEVA suit. Oh well... at least I have a good amount of AP ammo for both guns. Oh, by the way keyrock, I don't know if the you've found any of the tools yet for Cadan but I've found two of them so far. The basic tools were in at the Ranger station and the calibration tools were at the Sawmill.
-
Okay. I might just make my way there then. I have enough money to buy a gas mask now and some better armor... hopefully. Figures... I might have to call in a favor to good ol' Nimbel then if I want a better rifle. I did find a AKS-74 at Izumrundnye (sp?). It was completely useless when I found and I can't fathom how much it would take to repair it.

Okay. That's good to hear. I mean I don't want to feel as if traders are ripping me off and I don't want to be a some poor bastard who can't afford anything, but at the same time I don't want money fall out of the sky. Ha. Did you have a SEVA suit? Or did you have just a gas mask? I don't want to go there just yet without one of the two. The reason being is near the boiler anomaly helping those two stalkers, I died 4 times before I told myself it wasn't worth the effort just yet.

Yes it is, it absolutely is. You did better than I did. I died 4 times before I ever made it to Skadovsk as a sniper. I really need to get a better sniper rifle. The 1891/30 (Nagant) is a decent gun, but it's just way too slow firing because it's bolt-action to take on anything beyond 1 or 2 enemies at a time (the meager 5 round magazine doesn't help either), unless you get your ass perched up in a real good inaccessible spot with good cover. I need to get my hands on a Dragunov SVD, then it's on like mother ****ing Donkey Kong dealing semi-auto death from afar. Of course, I'd trade the Dragunov's semi-auto firing rate for the slower firing bolt-action Sako TRG-42 any day, because of the ridiculous stopping power and ruthless accuracy, but I don't envision getting one of those until much later in the game. No way they would let me have an uber killing gun like that early on. What do you think of the new economy system? I haven't progressed too far into the game myself, yet I still had one of my alarm bells chime while trading with Beard. I gave him one flesh eye and three, maybe four, pieces of flesh meat. In return, I made a little more than a grand. I couldn't help but think what if I had some meat from a bloodsucker... what would he give me for that, you know. Are you finding money easier to come by compared to vanilla?

Started Misery 2.0 today. Within minutes of gameplay, I was minding my own business and in awe at the level of work put in this mod. Not long after, I starting hearing noises of a pseudogiant. I thought to myself 'No, that's bull****. The mod couldn't possibly throw one of these in my face this early in the game, right?' Pfftt. Of course it did. It was like a million miles away from me though, so I wasn't worried about it catching me or anything. But the damn thing chased me from where I started to about halfway to Skadovsk. Oh and while I was mocking that giant, a couple of blind dogs thought it would be absolutely hilarious to end my life too. I was able to make it to Skadovsk and I almost died in the process. Not too happy on how I started. This mod is awesome.

2.0 is out, it released today. I'm already playing it. It's brutal. I love it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJbmB9k2Y88

Right now... nothing too extensive. I'll do Civ: Brave New World one night, then Gothic 2 the next. It's been like this for the past couple of weeks. What I really want to play is Stalker: CoP, but I am waiting for the misery mod to be updated. Hopefully that will keep me busy. I don't like jumping from one game to the next, especially with rpgs like Gothic. I started playing it last night again and had no idea what the **** I was doing at the time (even though I've beaten it once before).

A Battlefront game developed by DICE, perhaps? I can dig it.

Susan Wilson's Kickstarter discussion (split topic)

This is pathetic. Someone on youtube posted her private information on pastebin. Home address, phone number, the works. As if it wasn't easy enough for her to play the victim card. All the valid criticisms and concerns people have against this project will be long buried and forgotten. It only takes one savy guy who knows a thing or two about tech to ruin everything. Amazing. You can't help but hate the internet sometimes... -
They went the "safe" route again with the sp -- follow the corridors and look at all the awesome happening around you. John "killer" Walker said he thought it was 'abysmal' on twitter (His thoughts on RPS). I wouldn't go that far to describe it. It just looks boring...

Just saw the Riccitiello story on joystiq. Well... he was responsible for bringing all the new IPs EA gave us over the years (Dragon Age, Mirror's Edge) and I give him props for that. Certainly better than all the licensed crap they were doing before his time.
-
Thief: Deadly Shadows. It's alright. Since this is the first thief game I've played, I do want to try the other ones.
-
You got some splainin to do, EA.
-
I had no idea this was happening until now and it's already funded. Heh.

Went back to Mount and Blade: Warband, with the mod Prophesy of Pendor mod. I don't think there's a mod out there that matches PoP - it has its' own backstory, heroes, factions, and equipment and it's significantly harder than Warband. Got to hand it to the mod team who made this; I can't imagine the hours spent on it.

I did read they wouldn't use enemy scaling in the Witcher 3. They confirmed it and also mentioned Gothic saying they liked how the series handled such matters. Good. This is good.

After a year off, I thought it was the right time to go back to Morrowind and actually finish my Mage character. I joined House Telvanni and was impressed with both the design and detail of most of the Telvanni wizard towers. Good stuff. Currently ranked as a wizard and just started building my stronghold.
