  1. Desslock is an old time rpg
  2. sarcasm that hit the nail on the head.
  3. I'm hoping for level 14-15. After that is just gets ridiculous.
  4. To me it sounds like they are following the IWD formula. You are not the chosen ones, you are just a group of standard adventurers who happen to be at the right place at the right time for an adventure. A pumped up version, though. Sounds good, hopefully it plays as well as it sounds.
  5. Still seperate. world or setting it doesn't matter. It was only optional if you wanted to link the campaigns. Now in 3 rd Ed its cannon.
  6. Actually I though IWD2 was the perfect length for a game. If NWN2 was the same length I would be very happy. Honestly I think its one of those games that was just the perfect length. You got lots of gameplay hours out of it so you could get attached to your characters and immersed in the story, but it didn
  7. ahhh, but 3rd edition says that the "planes" is but one way to conceptualize how the universe works. basically, PS was "canon" in 2nd Edition. It has been demoted to theory. which is ultimately good....PS was a neat idea--like eating Kiwi fruit is a neat idea from time to time....a mainstay it is not. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed. 2nd Ed had planescape as its own separate world, just like Spelljammer. Sure both settings could be incorporated into The Realms and/or Greyhawk but it wasn

  9. That is weird? I order from Amazon.co.uk/ regularly and I live in the US, in fact I just received a book from them last week. The cool thing is they have is the same account as my US account. So if I change my US account and it changes my UK account, as they are linked. I've even ordered fromAmazon.co.fr/ a couple of time too (which my account is also liked), and they've shipped to the US. Maybe its because I've been doing it for 5 years so they still let me. *shrug* btw, shipping can be a little costly.
  10. To me this looks like a 2D painting, but I wonder if the world map has the paint tool that you can use for outdoor areas in the toolset. If so then we would see some good world maps. Btw, I love world maps. Not only is it easy to travel, I just like to see where I am in relation to the geography in the area. Looks great!
  11. They look a little dull because there is no action. No NPC
  12. Is anyone else here surprised that Hades was not the author of this thread? Things that suck: Waiting for NWN2
  13. I think romance adds a realism factor in crpg
  14. There are more posts in this thread than actual votes. Use the poll people. I stayed away from Pool of Radiance 2 and Dungeon Lords because of the bugs, how bad everyone said they were. Even though I haven
  15. Was this Grok, the PR guy who regulated the d&d forums over at the Atari forums? He disappeared from the forums about a year ago, and the name sounds familiar. So it might be. Anyone know?

  17. Sure, I would love a WWII setting. I have no problems with a military setting for a crpg. I also second a vote for a western crpg with guns. I used to play the old Boot Hill pnp game way back when and loved it.
  18. I know its bad to say this, but that bbc article is the funiest thing I've read in a long time.
  19. Still I say throw your anger toward Atari, as they were the ones who made the decision to move the forums to Bioware. @Surreptishus, true Obsidian forums tend to be slow but its because there are a lot of lurkers. I just checked Bio and Obs. Obs has 123 visitors in the last 30 minutes and Bioware has 294 people online. Obsidian has about a third of Bio's traffic and Bio has 6 or 7 games (not really sure) for their forums and Obs has only 1 game. Just because bioware has all these registered users its not like they are on the forums all the time, and a lot of these registered users only registered to register their games. I've checked many other times too, out of curiosity, and the Obs and Bio forums have even had closer numbers as to who was on whose site at times. In others words I don
