I went in for a consultation with an oral surgeon to talk about my wisdom teeth. Apparently he had a cancellation next week so I'm slotted in to get my teeth ripped out next wednesday.

Looks like I won't be making that purchase as soon as I thought. I was just informed that I'll be paying a much larger chunk of my own tuition this year than I did last year. Seeing as that is the case I may as well wait until I have enough cash to get that better motherboard anyway. Thanks for the help though!

Favourites here would have to be Montreal and Ottawa. The three western Canadian teams would be next (order of preference deleted to protect the poster). I was conditioned from an early age to dislike Toronto by a cousin and that's stuck pretty well. San Jose would be pretty close to the top among the American teams with Pittsburgh and Philly at the bottom.

I also went 1/4 in that round thanks to Philly and Dallas once again winning. They've screwed me over so far by winning, so logic says they will continue to do so!

I'll root for Dallas as the lesser of four evils.

I don't know what series you were watching, but the Flyers didn't play better all series. What they did do, was they managed to capitalize on most of their scoring chances, something that Montreal couldn't seem to do. That's what was so frustrating as a Habs fan watching this series. I lost track of the number of times that the Habs had 2-3 solid minutes of puck control in the Flyers end only to have Biron make a great save and get it out to a Flyer and then they would go in and score on the rush. The Flyers were badly outshot and outchanced all series long, but because Montreal couldn't bury their chances when they had them, the lost the series. Part of the problem was that they were letting Biron see just about everything, but even when they had him clearly beaten they would fan on the shot, or miss the open net completely.

OMG! Montreal scored the first goal! First time the series that Philly hasn't jumped out to a (minimum) 2-0 lead!

What would you suggest instead? I am aware that it is an older mobo and does not support SLI/Crossfire. Dual GPU solutions are not something that I have any interest in for the foreseeable future. As for the chipset, I know that the P35 is getting older by the second, the problem comes from the next step up. X38/750I = double the cost X48/780I = triple the cost Is there really enough benefit from stepping up to that next level to warrant the increased expenditure? (All that said, I may have to switch the motherboard anyway, because the place that I am planning on ordering has run out of stock since I posted this topic.)

I haven't forgotten your little story Jags! I saved it on my hard drive. I'm looking at hopefully purchasing a new system in the next two weeks and I've got it pretty much nailed down as to exactly what I want, but I thought it run it by you guys first. Keep in mind that I'm only picking up the essentials right now. Things like hard drives, optical drives and a case will be re-used from my current computer, at least until I decide to replace them as well and/or can afford them.
