  1. I think I might have to re-install BG2 so that I can play Ascension again. That was a tough fight especally on some of the higher difficulty levels.
  2. My top ten would probably be something along the lines of this: (in the order I thought of them) Dark Reign - I'm still trying to find another copy of this game. The ending wasn't great but the rest of the game was great fun. Shredders were an awesome concept and nothing beat's hearing the Freedom Guard Martyr's shouting "FOR THE CAUSE!" right before they blow up. Everytime I bid on a copy on eBay I get outbid at the last second. Civilization 2: Test of Time - I never got the original Civ2 but I had played it at my uncle's house and as soon as I got home I made my parents take me out to the store to buy a copy but could only find Test of Time so I bought that. Winner of the most played game in my collection. Command and Conquer Red Alert + Counterstrike and Aftermath - This was my first real computer game beyond Commander Keen. I remember playing this for day's on end in a competition with my dad to see who could make it to the end of the game first. I got my very first computer from my dad so that I could play this game without hogging the computer all day because at the time we only had the one computer and four people that wanted to use it. Empire Deluxe - Great war game. A lot of fun to play. I think this would have to be runner up for most played game but definatly tops the list for most fun game. The best way to play is with ohter people. I used to play hotseat games of this with my dad who would almost always beat me but nevertheless we had great fun. Games could literally go on for days on the larger maps. It was fun hunting battleships with submarines. Baldurs Gate - The original game was my first every RPG experience. Before that I had heard stories from one of my cousins who is now in her 30's and still play's D&D. I remember the person at the EB tried to get my to buy a Final Fantasy game instead of Baldur's Gate but I said no for some reason I can't recall right now but it was probably because I had already made a decision. Nearly bought Planescape: Torment instead of Baldur's Gate but I decided against that becasue I hated the box art. This was all before I started going on the internet. Okay this is only top 5 but it's all I'm willing to write right now so you'll have to settle for top 5 instead. Kotor would not be in the other half of the top ten.
  3. Going by the choices in the poll I would have to say 16bit was my favourite even though it was actually before I got into gaming, some of my favourite games are from that era.
  4. I managed to get a decent playing experiance out of my GF2MX. Textures are on High but just about everything else is on the lowest possible. Only time I get any lag is when there is smoke/mist/dust. This means that it is impossible to win any swoop races on Tatooine. I get along by killing anyone who even thinks about throwing grenades. Grenades freeze the screen for about 5 seconds.
  5. Or at least developer devotion to the game. Just because a game has only one or two patches doesn't mean it isn't laden with bugs/completely unbalanced.
  6. I remember purchasing a 30GB Hard Drive for my computer so I could do a full install of BG@ and avoid having to switch disks constantly. I currently only have one game on dvd. Actually I suppose it would be three. I bought the 10th anniversary DVD edition of the Myst Trilogy. Came with a DVD for each game which was great as Riven has 5 by itself...
  7. Have you seen how many patches Neverwinter Nights has lately? It's up to what now v1.65 or something? "
  8. Is anyone but the media going to call it the Rogers Centre? I'll admit that does piss me off a little bit. Especially when they get rid of neat names in favour of crappy ones with thier company name in it.
  9. The Skydome had a name change?
  10. Bumblebee. Later became Goldbug.
  11. I rarely run into bugs with games or if I do I just don't notice them. I may have run into a few with KotOR which I'm currently playing or it could just be my graphics card which is limping along towards it's inevitable death. Unless the bug is gamestopping or is performance related I don't really care all that much. For example when I first started KotOR whenever I moved underneath or out from underneath a roof in the uppercity of Taris I would get major slowdown and when it did return to normal I would be on the opposite side of the map because my character didn't stop running when the game was frozen. That kind of bug really get's to me. That and the huge slowdown with anything over 10k people in Simcity 4.
  12. Imperium Galactica 2 and Alien Legacy. Alien Legacy could use an overhaul of the Interface and Combat but otherwise it was quite fun. IG2 I bought after playing Pax Imperia at my Uncle's house and thought it was pretty cool. Couldn't find it so I picked up IG2 instead. I looked like a similar type of game. Really enjoy that one too.
  13. I wonder how much Real Life scored on IGN? " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dunno but it got a 9.6 on Gamespot. Real Life: The MMORPG
  14. I could have sworn they said it would have about as much pw support as NWN1 had. IE: It's possible but it's not really designed with it in mind. Might have to delve into the Bio forums to find the relevant quote...
  15. Unless you want something shipped outside of the United States...
  16. The strange thing is I've seen the computer do it to other computers but never to me, even if I am at war with every other faction on the map. I wonder if the patch will change this.
  17. Interesting. I've never had a single game where the enemy blockaded on of my ports except by some fluke where an enemy army retreated onto the land portion of my port. Do you play with any mods?
  18. Then if that is the case, no nation in the game needs navies. Not even to protect your own ports as the AI thus far doesn't not choose to blockade them even when they have 50 million ships at thier disposal.
  19. Forgot about this thread. " Anyway, she wasn't impaled on a statue. Maybe what you are thinking of was when she was knocked out by the spear from the statue that fell over?
  20. The only reason to use navies is if you want to quickly move an army across a body of water. Otherwise they are totally useless. No point in using them as you can almost never win battles with them except when you have a large size advantage over the enemy, at least on the higher difficulty settings. The game can be beaten quite easily without navies for every nation with the sole exception of Britian I think. Can't remember if they start with a city on the mainland...
  21. Damn them! How dare they make you pay for buildings! I picked up Civ3 in a dual pack with Civ2: Test of Time. I had lost my ToT disc a while back and went into the store to try out Civ3 but I saw the dual pack for $17. On the shelf above it was Civ3 by itself selling for $42. I would have payed the $17 for Civ2 alone so I consider Civ3 a freebie.
  22. Actually Zhang Zhiyi kills herself with the bomb in the hotel room.
  23. For starters you should check out Forgotten Wars Projects for some pretty good mods. I can't seem to find any of my other mods right now...
  24. Depends on what you mean by mid-level. You're a generation behind.
  25. From what I've seen, the 6600GT out performs the 9800Pro by a slim margin. I've seen the Sapphire 9800 Pro at around $50 cheaper than the 6600GT.
