I use the skip peragus mod namely because I find the opening dungeon er... level so very boring that I give up on new characters before getting through it. In a way, Peragus is kind of like Irenicus Dungeon in BG2. It was great the first time through, but it quickly loses all interest for me.

By then end of the game you will likely have another 2 or 3 feats, possibly as many as 10 more if you use exploits. I generally pick up the dual weilding feats for just about everyone, mainly because I like the dual weild animations better. You really don't have to worry about it too much because by the end of the game he and everyone else on your team will be so uber that it won't matter what you give them.
