  1. It came up when talking about movies on another message board. A numer of people mentioned that for a lot of movies they just can't sit through the whole thing for one reason or another. Usually because a boring part, or one that was just so bad that they couldn't stand to watch it, came up. "
  2. "There's no kill like overkill" Usually followed by, "Why use a regular grenade when you can use a tac-nuke?" "
  3. If Darkside can come back from the dead then maybe we should get Jags back in here as Turkey. "
  4. The topic came up on another message board and I was curious to see how many other people can't sit still for an entire movie. "
  5. You think the price of games in Canada is bad? Try buying computer parts.
  6. Am I the only one that liked the wonder movies?

  10. I'm somewhat surprised.
  11. Really? There are mods everywhere now!
  12. Yeah, the slowdown doesn't start until you've revealed a fair chunk of the map. Only played the one game so far and it was on a huge terra map so I can't tell what it would be like on smaller maps.
  13. Or out the door in the morning? "
  14. "GOVERNMENTIUM" A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element has been named Governmentium. Governmentium has 1 neutron, 12 deputy neutrons, 75 assistant neutrons, and 224 deputy assistant neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since Governmentium has no protons or electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, because it impedes every action with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Governmentium causes a reaction to take 4 days to complete, when it would normally take less than a second. Governmentium has a normal half-life of 4 years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and! deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, governmentium's mass will actually increase over time since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as "Critical Morass." When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.
  15. Sounds good. I'll have to keep this in mind for the next time I install the game.
  16. I'm pretty sure I volunteered for this too. I have all afternoon off since my classes were cancelled. "
  17. Hello Tarna! Another forum for you to mod! "
  18. My crazy little brother that has no typing skills whatsoever manages to accumulate thousands of posts and dominate 2 Diplomacy games?
  19. Congratulations Jags! You share a birthday with my crazy little brother! "
  20. It was one of the books that was on the list for ISU novels last year. I thought about reading it, but ended up reading something else. Sounded like a good book though.
  21. I assume you're not talking about just doubleclicking on the city. Can you give us an example of what you're looking for? EDIT: I just realized that I screwed myself over in my game. I didn't expand enough to hem in the two people on my sides with my cutural borders, so they decided to move in and take the arctic land north of me. I didn't expand as much because I figured that I would be able to get a settler to the other continent on the map and have it all to myself. I didn't realize just how far along ocean going vessels are in the tech tree. I'm at 1600AD and I'm still about 50 years from getting ocean going vessels. EDIT2: If you were talking about a city view like this then it's just zoomed in all the way.
  22. Doomsayer? Nah, bringer of good news. "
  23. Depends on how you work the switch. There was a pretty nice one in the latest Dungeon magazine where one of the characters is mugged by a doppelganger and captured. The character isn't killed because it takes awhile for the doppelganger group to make a soul gem type thing to store his memories. Later on when the party infiltrates their lair they stumble into a room full of duplicates of themselves all tied up to chairs. One by one they free themselves (except for the one character which was the one that was replaced) and attempt to convince the party that the one travelling with them is actually the copy. Seemed like it would be a pretty neat adventure to run actually. They article did say that this part should only be run if you can get one of the characters to agree to it before hand.
  24. Um, you were commenting on how slow those turns take right? Not that they take place at all right? Would be kinda boring if the enemy didn't move at all.
