  1. I haven't played it. I got the impression it's just your typical, garden variety shooter. Am I wrong?
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YevYBsShxNs
  3. The movie was bloody awful. At least, the series had a certain campiness to it.
  4. Is there a release date already for this game?
  5. What are you talking about?? Jumping puzzles when you can't see your feet are an awesome idea!!!!!
  6. KOTOR 1 had a crap story and crap writing. KOTOR 2 had an incomplete story and good writing for a game. In terms of gameplay they were both way too easy. Item upgrading in KOTOR 2 is much better. KOTOR 2 doesn't have Bastila or Carth. So KOTOR 2 is the better the game, in my book. P.S.: Oh look, another swede.
  7. Half-Life 2 is filled with run and gun corridors.
  8. You have to kill the bosses. Other than that, I know that some levels urge you to kill everything in sight (the airplane level for example), while others are designed in such a way, that there's always a way not to kill anyone. More interesting, and also hard, is to finish the stealthier levels not only without killing anyone but also without being detected. I didn't have any problems with listening to the dialogues. Usually it was either a situation where you had to wait for the banter to finish if you wanted to sneak by undetected, or they had their backs to the path you would take and as such could listen to the banter while walking by undetected.
  9. Well, that's a texture problem that is hard to get rid of unless you get new face textures. I wasn't talking about the textures, though. I was mostly referring to the modeling of the faces. Everyone's pudgy in Oblivion.
  10. To the best of my knowledge it wasn't possible to play through Half-Life without killing your enemies, or am I wrong? This completely besides the point, but the tricycle chase scene in NOLF2 is the best vehicle scene in any game. Ever.
  11. L.A. Confidential. Great stuff, with excellent acting all around.
  12. That's all well and good in theory, but belief is always an essential part of scientific discovery. Einstein believed his ideas about the universe to be true, long before he had his theories all set out in a complete package and this belief was an essential part of the drive he needed to fully develop those theories.
  13. And those animals never engage in heterosexual relations, under any circunstances whatsoever?
  14. I thought your opinion was that everyone, except you of course, was a puerile philistine.
  15. isn't that the point of every single FPS? I mean you look at any FPS that's not an attempt (good or bad) at being a hyrbid and the only nonlinear stuff is getting from A-B via C, D, E, or F. My question about Half-Life is: what C, D, E, or F? I guess some levels had a C and a D. Arguably. NOLF for example is a straightforward, mostly linear FPS, which allows for different choices both due to map designs and core gameplay.
  16. Woohoo!!! Feel the might of my brilliant suggestion! (w00t)
  17. I don't think strict homosexuality exists in nature (besides human beings, that is). There's plenty of sexual interaction between animals of the same sex, of course, but never exclusively. All animals are bound to get some heterosexual lovin' now and then. I could be wrong, though.
  18. You make a good case but Im not sure I agree with the bolded part. Lest say you met identical twins, one male, one female. They look exactly alike except for maybe hair length and boobs (same face, height, weight, body type, etc...). You feel the only thing attracting you to one sex or the other is your upbringing? If were to meet such a pair, I would only feel attracted to the female but I wouldn't really know why. But I'm sure various events in my very early life "conspired" to make me prefer the females of the species, rather than the males. Also, note that when I say upbringing, I mean everything that makes a person what (s)he is today, except for genes.
  19. So, IYO, its a choice? Its environmental? Hmm, interesting. Why would bi-sexuality be genetic? Some sort of "crossed wires" in the brain? If bi-sexuality is genetic why not homosexuality? My theory goes like this. It's not attraction to this or that sex that is genetic (that is always choice/environment related), but a desire to have sex is genetic. As such everyone is potentially bisexual, but due to upbringing ends up on only one side of the tracks, so to speak. This would also explain why a lot of people, under the right conditions (jail or military for example), change their orientantion temporarily.
  20. I don't think homosexuality is genetic at all, precisely for that reason. Soon or later, such a gene would eventually disappear. Bisexuality, however, could be genetic.
  21. I think there's something about the little girls' bodies that allows them to process "Adam". Hence only they can do the harvesting.
  22. Some people don't have English as a first language. The rest are idiots. I hope you belong to the first group.
  23. But would you have to go around wearing a dress and let your hair grow?
  24. Why, do you think homosexuality is "curable"? No, but it's not a genetic defect either. Nor is homosexuality a "flawed desire".
