In System Shock 1 the laser sword was an awesome weapon, but in the sequel it was severely toned down.

But the actions of the characters are.

It was my understanding that the sun would go through a red giant phase first, engulfing Earth's orbit and roasting us all to tasty perfection, then finally peter out as a white dwarf. I'm not sure about the dwarf's color, but that's pretty much what will happen.

You'll be sorry. And anyway, the problem isn't the story, it's the way the game is designed and the way they make you feel while the game unfolds.

I have to say I quite liked the graphics. The only thing I wasn't too impressed about were the character's heads. Seemed wooden and lacked detail.

SATA boards still support IDE. Also, with that system, all I would change would be the mobo and the GPU. I'd wait for DX10 before replacing the whole machine.

Don't mind me, I just dislike electronica. SS2 music was crap as well, and for me, a huge mood killer.

Just get it. If I had to choose the best game of all time, SS2 might just get my vote.
