  1. Talk about idiotic.
  2. Why Alan, why did Bioware decide to make the origins so restrictive? It's like each origin was specifically designed for a single character build.
  3. The forced skills and talents in character creation are really annoying, and pointless too. Basically, if I start as a mage, I have one less skill point than with other characters.
  4. Hey, less Impulse Vs. Steam, more King Arthur. Has anyone bought it, already?
  5. Wat. Every single piece of land in the world has been stolen from someone, even if no one remembers anymore.
  6. Moved to the proper forum.
  7. Not a beer, a vodka shot.
  8. I'm playing on normal, and by the time I get to the second battle (that's a few seconds after the guy coming to fetch me), half the militia is already dying, including the mayor, and that's just with the first few undead. As there are still, what, 20 or 30 undead waiting to spawn after that, you can understand how I'm finding it impossible to keep anyone alive besides my own party. The battle is much, much easier with healing, though.
  9. Impulse has advantages, though, the most notable of which being not having to start Impulse to play a game. Also, it's much, much lighter Steam. Assuming the price for a game is the same on both platforms, it's better to get a game on Impulse than on Steam.
  10. So, with my most recent character I decided to go to Redcliffe right after Lothering. My main character is a warrior and Morrigan has only leveled up once (picked cone of cold). As such, I don't have any healing spells. How do I beat the night battle while keeping all the militia, including the mayor, from keeling over in a second? I managed to keep the knights from dying in the first sequence by engaging the undead as close to their spawn point, but in the battle in front of the chantry, when I get there the battle is already a confused mess without any way to keep the undead from reaching the militia.
  11. If they were doing that they would be winning. Also, by the way, apart from perfect counter intelligence work, genocide is about the only strategy that works against irregular forces, especially if those irregulars are all Shi'as.
  12. Apparently, King Arthur will come to other game sellers, including physical retailers. Just, not yet.
  13. Apparently, you have joined every forum on the interwebs.
  14. Les Savy Fav - Patty Lee Laozi has the best taste in music. Must be all the Taoism.
  15. Perhaps I will, I was just thinking of waiting for it to be released on other outlets besides Steam. In any case, here's info filched from Neogaf: It's pretty cool to discover such a potentially awesome game right on release day.
  16. This looks like it could be pretty awesome. I'm needing a game to scratch the strategy itch Empire failed to get to. And it's cheap, too. 26
  17. Perhaps if she took her bra off, he wouldn't have such a serious look on his face.
  18. The only solution to the conflict would be to hold an actual, all-out war for territory, old school style, between the two sides without any outside meddling. Whoever is left standing wins by default. So yeah, the conflict will last forever.
  19. ROFLCOPTER
  20. Thieves are a lot more helpful in BG than in DA, though.
  21. Understanding why the ice caps are melting isn't really germane to the issue of minimizing the damage caused by rising sea levels. Unless you're proposing a solution that stops the rise of sea levels worldwide, altogether, which isn't very likely to be found, to say the least.
  22. Instead of arguing about whether global warming is a scam or not perhaps people should be discussing the consequences in the next few decades of melting polar ice caps. Regardless of the causes, the polar caps are melting, and if the trend continues over the next 50 years, it will be a huge problem for coastal populations. Like Katrina times a billion.
  23. Restarted DA on hard with a black dual wielding slum elf.
  24. Jimi Hendrix and BB King - The King's Jam It's absolutely awesomely incredible.
  25. I don't think a small change in bonuses to attack & defense can make that much of a difference to the game's difficulty. The problem seems to be that DA's systems just didn't allow the designers much latitude in creating combat set pieces and don't give enough options for the player to devise combat strategies. It's shallow and doesn't harness the medium. In too many bad ways Dragon Age is still a static 2d game made with a 3d engine.
