I like some of the 4e changes. the 2ed/3e wizard sucks. the 4e one sounds a bit better. i dont like playing a wizard and having to rely on ol' betsy with the broken saftey. i however dont like what they are doing to the realms., mainly killing off the high leveled casters, thats just dumb.

killing of cyric would be good, as for lolth, i dont see her or eilistraee going the way of the dodo. i still think they should of offed Torm instead of helm. Now i only hope they kill off Tyr and have Mask kill Cyric.

any deathstalker of bhaal in 3.x must have servant of the fallen feat, and a new patron will grant the deathstalker spells in the name of fallen deity. the issue is that what about amunator's sunmasters, since 4e is coming out, will they bring him back??? well guess we wait and see

it is beginning to look that way. in fact when 4.5 comes out and they put back in what they took out, even for the FR im going to make a post there stating i told you so. all said and done though. if it makes it easier to translate into a pc game easier, then it may be fine. maybe they will make a alt wizard version later on, i dont like harry potter, he's a upstart, give me pug or macross the black anyday. heck even gandalf

either way you still have to be careful on how much a day you cast. no matter difference of oppinion. i hear they did away with the racial subrace stat blocks. not sure this is a good idea.

i always liked the mana system better than spell slots. maybe they will axe the arcane archer too

im not completely sold on the 4.e either. but i will wait and see. i might get the frcs 4.e anyway, but thats not guarantied either. ps the weighted point buy still sux. as for 4e ill wait and see on how much they butchered it

and 2nd edition goofed by making the paladin class restricted to humans. and some now still believe that the paladin should of been a prestige class. well as far as all the prcs, your right there are to many of them andsome of them are absolutely garbage, and carry a bit of design flaws. and some just stereotype characters. some ofthem need to go, some of them id like to see in 4.0( the bladesinger, frostmage, elemental savant, highmage and champion of corellon larethian just to name a few) some others i can do with out ever seeing or hearing of ever again. while i can see some people's arguments on somethings, ill disagree with people on others.

after going through some of the you tube(ular) videos. i have come to the conclusion, that they wewre right on one thing. back in nwn1 there was no difference between my elven ranger and my dwarven fighter/defender. feat wise they were about the same. ac was about the same. no real difference. im quite interested to know more on the racial feats.

if they want to redo the core books thats fine, but to shell out over 300 dollars for all the FR sourcebooks( or atleast most of them) and a good deal of the other sourcebooks aswell( namely races and complete series) and not being able to use them is a joke and an insult. let me tell you though it would be alot cheaper for wotc to make updated pdf files of the other books outside the campaign setting books then it would to remake them all. other than that, i think id be in the same boat as J.E. Saywer. if its crap it will be crap.

i dont see why either. waste of resources waste of time. dont plan on buying it either. the srd will do fine edit: and they better d(censored)n well recycle all those left over 3.x material books or make them still usable .
