  1. I have Rubber Factory; it's a great CD. Especially Stack Shot Billy, The Lengths and 10 a.m. Automatic. Pete Yorn - Undercover
  2. NOFX - My Heart is Yearning From the seminal "Punk in Drublic" album.
  3. I'm doing the fantasy football thing this year for the first time. It's addicting... and it also means I'm paying closer attention than I usually do. As it is, my Steelers lost a tough one Monday night. That Jags defense was tough.
  4. I already stated my opinion in the other thread about Fallout so I won't pontificate too much here, but I agree with Feng. The combat was innovative, but way too slow. I could take my turn, go make a four-course dinner, then come back and take my next turn.
  5. Oooh. I have heard of that. Because of the Cave connection, of course. Yesterday I watched another episode of Buffy, the one where Willow was meeting up with that "magic-drug dealer" character. He reminded me of Bishop Vick from Bloodlines, heh.
  6. Have you heard the version of that on the Live 75-85 3 CD mini-box set? I would pronounce it "incendiary."
  7. Yeah, I don't know about that other artistic crap, but everybody knows Army of Darkness rocks.
  8. Radiohead - Nice Dream Now: Todd Snider - Looking for a Job
  9. Funny you ask. Reel Big Fish actually had an album titled "Why do they Rock so Hard?" Of the semi-popular ska-punkers, I always preferred Goldfinger, but I still occasionally rock out to the RBF.
  10. (w00t) (w00t) It's a banner day on YouTube folks. Yo Draken, I saw RBF/Goldfinger twice a few years back on the Crouching Fish/Hidden Finger tour. They put on a great show.
  11. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - The Mercy Seat (acoustic) followed with The Lemonheads - Great Big No I love listening to music at work. :D
  12. Chris Cornell - All Night Thing From some recent-ish acoustic show he did on the radio.
  13. Yeah, I mean he's in college now! I remember these friends of mine, well, you know, I never even thought about apples like that! I mean, I would eat them in pies or applesauce, and I could often be seen just walking down the street with one - but what they did was a perversion of nature!

  15. I can't say anything about FO1, because I haven't played it. Going backwards through the "great" RPGs from KOTOR as I was, I thought I'd play the sequel first because the dated graphics wouldn't be quite as much of a shock. You know, because they wouldn't be quite as dated. For reference, I played FO2 about two years ago, while waiting for KOTOR 2 to come out.
  16. Although MVP Baseball 05 is very, very good, I have to say the best sports game I've played is either Virtua Tennis for the DC or NCAA Football 2003. I played about eight years of a dynasty with NCAA football in a period of two years in the dorms with three other guys. It was about the most fun I've had in with a multiplayer game. We'd have draft parties and everything. But back on-topic, I played a bit of Fallout 2 and was bored to tears. I'm talking "Morrowind"-bored. Honestly, it was one of the most boring things I've ever done. And I'm sure it gets better than killing radscorpions in that first dungeon. In fact, I also killed radscorpions in various other places throughout the game. And before you blast me, know that I have played slow-burn games before. But the difference between something like Irenicus' Dungeon and that intro to Fallout is that with BG2, the story has already kicked in. You're already off and running. Anyway, I played for hours with just Zulu or whoever for company, and then I'd get people to join who didn't even have a character portrait, much less a richly-developed background. Okay, so you're a bartender. You want to come with me and shoot things. All right, but shouldn't there be more? Maybe there was. Maybe I just missed it, it's definitely possible, because by that point I really didn't care anymore. So anyway, there's my two cents. Maybe I just lack the patience to appreciate SPECIAL, but I just don't believe the hype when it comes to Fallout. Flame on, brothers. :D
  17. The Who - The Good's Gone
  18. I was eating wings and ribs with some friends on this fine Saturday evening, when a kicking set of KISS covers was provided by Cleveland's own Mr. Speed. Those guys were right on, down to the costumes. On the way home I listened to a live broadcast of a free Matt Pond PA show from a local university. I think the biggest band that played a free gig when I was in college was O.A.R., and they were from Ohio anyway, so I don't think they count. So that Matt Pond PA band is pretty cool. But now, I'm listening to... Blue Rodeo - Rain Down on Me
  19. Have you considered a vacation in Sweden? The opening titles, right. But I could have sworn my old VHS copy used the verb "sacked." Maybe I'm craaaaaaazy. Probably.
  20. Yeah! The Who - Daddy Rolling Stone
  21. Yeah, cinematic gameplay - that stuff sucks!
  22. I thought it was customary to "sack" those responsible for such things.
  23. Yeah, I got the "big" Eels CD, Beautiful Freak, from the library. So far I like it. They actually have like six Eels albums at the library. Go figure. Anyway, I just got back from a party thrown by a friend of mine. And just when I had gone a few days without listening to any Afghan Whigs or Twilight Singers, he played exclusively that stuff at this party. When I fall back into that stuff, I fall back hard. He and his g/f went to the show with me back in May and some other random dude who was in attendance was rocking out pretty hard too. He had a Lollapalooza '92 shirt, so he was cool in my book as soon as I saw him, haha. Anyway, The Afghan Whigs - Bulletproof

  25. How'd this get relegated to page 2? Well, I can fix that. Eels - Susan's House
