Did the one Dudeson get naked? I'm just asking because I've watched two episodes of the American version of their show, and in both of them it seems the one brother is sans pants more often than not. I haven't watched any movies lately, but I did pick up Team America: World Police for $10 the other day.

Heh heh... all right last one and then I'm hitting the sack. Nick Cave - Into My Arms

Yeah, my first impression was Counting Crows too. And Hornsby is a good approximation for the singer. I used to drink (and occasionally work) with a guy who said he had a chance at a one-night stand with Liz Phair back in her pre-Exile in Guyville days when she was playing college town bars, touring in a beat-up van. To hear him tell it, she slept in his bed in his apartment and he slept on the couch. He was really serious with his girl, see, and he didn't want to screw it up by sleeping with a rock and roll gal. Of course, everyone at work regarded this guy as a huge liar, so who knows if it actually happened? Either way, it's a good story to tell over a few pints. Razorlight - Los Angeles Waltz

Ooooh, found a new band I like. The Hold Steady - First Night Also, Hot Snakes - Kreative Kontrol My guess is this is an anti-sellout anthem. i'd give up sex before creative control Edit: haha, no Kor I was reading one in another window though!

Nice! They really pull it off live. I like the random crowd of mopers behind them. Must be part of this Jools Holland bloke's show. Neil Finn - She Will Have Her Way along with Razorlight - Back to the Start and then Saul Williams - 1987

For the love, there were rounds in which one player attacked, then the other NPCs took their turn! Is that not the very definition of turn-based? Can a game only be turn-based if the combat takes a really long time? It's not a fallacy, and it's not a lie, Volo. How can you even argue that it's not turn-based when the evidence is RIGHT THERE! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

Saul Williams - 1987 DAMN! Anyway, I'm bummed because it looks like you guys are spamming the boobs thread to hell and it will probably be long gone by the time I get home from work. All that marvelous spam, and I don't get to read it. Normally I would, but I know this particular spambot didn't settle for the usual laundry list of comically-named links...

The Gerudo Valley theme from Legend of Zelda: OoT Thanks to Pop and Mus for posting the game music link in that other thread! And now it's time to groove along to the Chemical Plant Zone from Sonic 2... oh man this brings back the good memories. You guys really have no idea how much I'm groovin' right now. I'm groovin' so much I almost forgot to award props to the dude for rockin' the Social D.

Feliz cumpleanos, eh?

Radiohead - Just The video is just genius. (pause for me to laugh at my own joke) The band has sworn to never tell what the man says, and the producer heightened the mystique by saying "to tell you would deaden the impact, and would probably make you want to lie down in the road too." Edit: realized that post would be much better with a YouTube link, so Ifound one.

The combat was based on stats. Characters took turns attacking each other. Dice were rolled behind the scenes. How is that not turn-based combat?

Of course KOTOR was turn-based! Didn't you guys notice the whole "Feedback" section in the pause menu where you could actually check out what happened in the last battle? "Wow, what happened there, it was all a blur!" *Checks feedback - "Oh, looks like I missed with all three attacks of my flurry, then that dude rolled a 20 to hit me with a critical strike PLUS I failed my fortitude saving throw. That stunned me so I missed my turn and then he nailed me with an Improved Power Attack hitting with 41 versus my defense of 21, resulting in a crapload of damage. Looks like I got owned." KOTOR was turn-based, it just played flashy animations to make it look like the characters were fighting in real-time. AND Bio/OBS even incorporated a "autopause-after-each-turn" option for the old-fashioned gamers who each battle to take 15 minutes. I never used it, because I prefer to pause on my own to assign actions, but it was there.

Does anyone remember Pirates of Dark Water? I remember it being sweet, although the fog of youth may have something to do with that judgment.

Yesssss, that's the one! Good stuff. IIRC, I stopped watching cartoons about the time the Power Rangers made their debut. Things just started to get too hyper. Cartoons these days are enough to give a guy a seizure.

How old are you? That was something I watched. That and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...the first one, on Fox. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 23. Also remember lovin' me some Ninja Turtles, before they got all aggro like they are on TV these days. It was kind of funny in a way... they were supposed to be ninjas, but all the "fighting" was usually just slapstick comedy. Yeah, watched some Looney Tunes in my day, too. There was also a "school-age" Looney Tunes show I remember...

I remember being a big Darkwing Duck fan.

Wow... I didn't even realize that was Trent. He looks different these days. More... British, I guess, now that you mentioned it. Oh, and that "Turn the Page" song is the "bomb-diggity." you can't do 'alf, my crew laughs at yer rhubarb and custard verses you rain down curses but i'm drivin' your hearses flyin' by, Streets ridin' high ^off the cuff, but most likely correct. Oh, and I'm watching the " " video again. That Terry Callier dude has a fantastic soul voice.

Twilight Singers - Teenage Wristband How was this not a hit again? Kor, those Urge Overkill guys sure know how to play the rock star, don't they? Also, I highly (pun IN-tended) doubt School of Fish were straight-edge. And here's a blast from the past. 1983, to be exact. U2 - Two Hearts Beat as One

Ah, Michael Ironside. Come on, you apes! You wanna live forever?

I guess I missed that phase of the Beasties' career. Damn, man. I love that "Live With Me" song. Here's the , as done by Massive Attack. Pretty artsy video, basically chronicling one girl getting on the booze train solo and riding all the way down.
-
Hell, I never knew they played instruments! The Twilight Singers - Live With Me/Where Did You Sleep Last Night FYI: It's a live broadcast from a Belgium rock festival called Pukkelpop, I think. Mark Lanegan is on lead vocals on these songs. The first is a Massive Attack song, and the second is the classic blues number (Muddy Waters, I think?) that Nirvana popularized on their unplugged album.

Ah, the 90s. The Sea and Cake - Alone, For the Moment It's from 1995, and it's on a recommendation!

Jordan Zevon - Studebaker

Whatever happened to that guy? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> His sophomore album flopped, but he's back with a new one. The jury is still out, but so far it's good. Whiskeytown - Houses on the Hill
