Ive got a radeon 9800 256 mb card that can support the pixel shader thing. Unfortunately its on a laptop and my drivers are about a year old, and I cant update them. Does NWN2 require the latest drivers?

Ive never engaged in NWN2 bashing.

When was the release date again? Wasnt it the 29th? Or was it the 31st? Either way Im not playing the game till the 3rd of November. Europe kinda sucks a lot.

Has anyone gotten the game yet? What are your impressions of the campaign? How is the voice acting? Do the characters look awful when the camera zooms in to them during dialogue? How are the combat animations?

Fallout 3 will be a load of ****.

The environments look pretty good. Not impressive or mindblowing, but pretty good. The character models and their animations on the other hand are quite awful.

Theres a cache directory somewhere on your pst install directory. Chances are the file saved in the cache is corrupted. Just delete all the files there and the game should work.

These drawings were made by drunk youths who just wanted to have fun. I dont see any malice or intent to provoke anyone in that. Also, what is wrong with ridiculing anyone? As I said I do not have a problem with Hinduism being ridiculed(despite not exactly liking it either). The average Christian and Jew may not want their religious figures to be ridiculed but they are willing to extend the right to ridicule their religious personalities to other people. If we find any ideology to be ridiculous then we have the right to ridicule that ideology. The question that needs to be answered is why most cultures are willing to accept ridicule and why the Muslims cannot. Another question that needs to be asked is why the leftists are so much against Islam being ridiculed while never condemning the ridicule of any other religion.

As far as I am concerned these protests against the Danish cartoons and the Popes remarks are just another form of terrorism, another method being used to intimidate us into relinquishing the freedom that we have.

QFT. The Nazi's weren't drawing cartoons. They were gathering support for an initiative to wipe out the Jewish people. The Jewish people didn't start a deluge of death threats, and then proceed to act on them. They didn't throw bombs into the Nazi's embassy. They didn't go on killing sprees because of a ****ing drawing. I don't know where you got your meaning for "acting out" but judging by this statement I'm pretty sure it's just a tad bit off base. Di's got a strong point, which I happen to agree with. They can make fun of the western world, piss on its idols, and kill our people...but a drawing...a line has been crossed! Heaven forbid an insulting drawing was made of a warlord from the ancient world who created a religion based on the other major religions at the time...which were derived from others, and so on and so forth. We should line up to die for such an affront! FFS. They can shut the hell up and take it. I am a Hindu, and in the west images of Hindu gods have been printed on toilet seats and slippers. Quotations from the Gita were played during a sex scene from Eyes Wide Shut. Now I dont like the fact that this is being done. But western people dont believe in Hindu gods and Hindus cant expect westerners to follow their culture. We dont see Hindus flipping out and randomly killing people and throwing molotov ****tails over these insults. In fact in India there have been movies made that make fun of Hindu gods. But in India, books that criticize Islam (like Rushdies book) are banned, thus, no criticism of Islam is possible in the country. Why do Muslims react the way they do? Why do they kill people and riot over drawings? If Muslims dont want freedom of expression in their countries then thats fine with me. Its their countries and they can do whatever the hell they want over there. But they have no right to try to take away our freedom of speech and expression in our own countries.

Microsoft Works is like a crap version of office. Dell laptops have it preinstalled so the stuff is still around.

Camera and movement controls, which are notoriously difficult to tune to the satisfaction of a wide assortment of players. There are some genuine balance bugs, but we've noticed a lot of those already. D&D has a lot of ROOLZ, so there's a lot of stuff that can be broken/poorly balanced/wrong. The toolset also needs some fixes simply for ease of use, which has been a big complaint for many people. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dont think the camera could be any worse than the original game. When I played NWNs expansions I spent more time turning the camera than doing anything else. Of course if it hasnt been improved over the original then that would be a cause for concern.

What are these issues that need to be addressed by pathches? Do they relate to the official campaign or to other aspects of the game? Are they bugs? Unbalanced gameplay? Or just ****ty design for some areas? If its bad design then what exactly are the problems with the way that these areas have been designed?

I think this whole idiotic cylon occupation thing is just a pathetic excuse to add an extra season to the series. PS. I havent watched the first episode of the new season yet.

Yeah, that sort of dark branch beside him reminds me of mistletoe or a branch from a christmas tree. Having a background is a very good idea, love the one on edwin, looks awesome(except for the grey parts of the beard), but the second Sarevok doesnt look good at all. I dont suggest using it unless you plan to include Santa in your mod.

OK, Ive got my preorder kit, and the site takes me to the FTP server after I put in my access code. Now am I supposed to download over 2 gegabytes to get the goddamned toolset?

That was awful. 1. The voice acting is terrible, it sounds very annoying and generic. 2. The dialogue lines are very short... Probably in order to limit the costs of voice acting. There doesnt seem to be much input from the player in the dialogue and there are very few options. 3. Zooming in to the characters during dialogue was a REALLY, REALLY stupid idea since the faces of the characters dont show any emotion and look blank except for a mouth moving up and down. The characters also arent doing many hand gestures etc. 4. The combat animations are downright awful. The death animations are particularly horrible. The death animations normally play a second or more after the final blow is delivered, and they just seem to topple over regardless of the method of death. The blood fountains look like firecracker explosions. The game is gonna suck... No eye candy, no ear candy and no hardcore roleplaying either.

I dont think that KOTOR and NWN are turn based.
