  1. Good points. I agree.
  2. That proves your're both not european :D Nutella is rich and tasty mixture of chocolate, milk and hazelnut. There are many products on the market with those ingredients, but Nutella tops them all :D So far my fiery defense of Nutella :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow, nutella sounds extremely good. drools
  3. I never thought about owning a console before, being in love with my computer, but the PS3 tempts me. I guess the major selling point would be that its backwards compatible for me. I get to go back and play all the great games for the PS1 and 2 that I missed out on.
  4. I totally agree that the isometric view and the aiming of specific body parts(groin) is a great part of the Fallout atmosphere. Of course, there were similar concerns about Metroid making the 'jump' to 3d, but that seemed to have turned out ok. I haven't played the new Metroid games, but the response seems to be good. I still have fun playing Metroid on my GBA though.
  5. Cool thread. I'm not really emotional so I've never cried watching a movie. The only time I cried while viewing some form of entertainment, is when Big Dan and Little Ann die at the end of Where the Red Fern Grows. I had grown so attached to those two dogs while reading the book that tears just came to my eyes. As for movies, the Terminator 2 ending is indeed moving. When Rocky says, "I love you" at the end of Rocky 1, that was beautiful too. The best 'I love you' ever. How about when Darth Vader dies in the arms of Luke. Finally redeemed, finally forgiving himself in the love he sees in Luke's eyes. The imperial march slowly fading away... I love that scene.
  6. That's it, I moving back to the mountains in Korea. This is too scary. Since the world is going to end, might as well buy all the consoles and all the games ever and bring them with me. I'll need a portable generator too or somehow make a water mill.
  7. Great, now I want a huge plate of hot crispy fries and a coke.
  8. That man is a total genius with legos. I respect that. I love the Metal Gears. wowo
  9. I really want to see this movie. It'll be the first movie I'll see in theaters since I moved back to the US. Its kinda fitting in a way. Too bad I have test a few days after the movie opens. I guess I'll have to wait till after the test. I'll see a late night show after the test, and hope the crowds aren't too tight. (Fat chance)
  10. I think this is a pretty good idea if the PC was Revan. It would fit in nicely with the KOTOR tradition of planet hopping and meddling in their affairs. Plus we'd get to see some unknown region worlds, so the designers could pretty much come up with anything they wanted. Plus it would be a nice setup for the creation of original and powerful Sith Masters on each of the planets that you visit.
  11. Yay! another K3 thread! If we play as Revan(something I want but don't see happening), maybe it'll work if we have Revan playing as a non jedi character in the Sith populated worlds beyond the outer rim. Obviously he wouldn't want to announce his presence by spamming lightning and wave while cutting up baddies with his lightsaber. His levels and powers as a jedi will be intact but just inaccessible for a time until he reaches a certain level in his non-jedi class and the story moves forward to the point where he is forced to reveal himself/herself. Instead of starting off as a generic soldier/scoundrel/scout, there could be new classes like bounty hunter/spy/smuggler that Revan could start as, all with their unique feats and skills. I also like the idea of Revan as a pervasive presence throughout the game. A shadowy figure who guides and manipulates the new PC. That's a cool idea.
  12. Umm, sorry but I don't see this ever happening.
  13. The first movie was great. I watched it with two friends at an three movie allnighter. We had heard nothing of the movie, which might have been because we were in Korea and so figured it was just another generic action movie. We were pleasantly surprised and it wasn't long before we were acting like idiots in the lobby during the intermisssion. I watched the second two movies with some hope, but was pretty dissapointed. I still don't fully understand what the old guy was saying at the end of Reloaded but I pretty much didn't care by then.
  14. I was looking at the list of games that are showing at E3 and can't wait to see a few games. Prince of Persia 3. A lot of people were dissapointed in PoP2, but I thought it was a great game. The characters were a little shallow, I admit that. According to what I've read, the alternate ending to PoP2 seems to be 'canon' so I'm interested to see how the three main characters will interact. I hope to see more character development in the Prince other than, "RAWWWR, I'm angry!" Soul Calibur 3. Who doesn't like this game? Romance of the Three Kingdoms X. I've liked this series since way back when. The majority of people who truly love this game are most likely familiar with the warriors and strategists and their exploits during this time of Chinese history, but the game itself is really fun. Starcraft: Ghost. I've always enjoyed the Starcraft universe and am interested into how this game will fit into the storyline. Plus I've always wanted to call down a nuclear strike. I'm also curious about FF7: Advent Children. I played FF7 with great glee on the PC and so it'll be cool to see the characters return for some more adventures.
  15. Strayed too much from its roots? It stayed closer to its roots than the old show did. I agree with you about cartoons nowadays though. Sometimes they get one right, like with Masters of the Universe, TMNT, Justice League, and even some of the sillier ones like the Fairly Odd Parents, but they're relying waaaaaay too much on dubbed japanese cartoons. Some are ok, but lately they don't seem to be airing anything good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just saw a few episodes of the new TMNT, so I could be wrong. The ones I saw had the turtles and Splinter fighting a robotic Shredder with that brain creature in his torso. Krang was his name from the old cartoons. What's up with that? They were battling on a spaceship in an effort to save the galaxy from Shredder/Brain. Whether the brain took over shredder's body or the brain was Shredder, I'm not too sure. I think this is pretty far from TMNT's roots. Though I admit the later episodes of the older cartoons grew sillier by the airing. Shredder turned into a whining incompetent comedic relief character, not the evil deadly ninja master he's supposed to be.
  16. Its probably the nostalgia in me talking but they don't make cartoons like they used to. I grew up watching Thundercats, Voltron, GI JOE, Transformers, Silverhawk and then later Batman, X-men, Spiderman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Disney cartoons. They were all packed with action and adventure. When I moved back to the US couple of months back, I was curious as to what was showing on Saturday mornings. Most of them were Japanese based card/collectible cartoons. Then there were the new cartoons like Luca Mucha(?) about kid wrestlers, and Shaolin Showdown, about kid Shaolin monks...who looked nothing like monks. They all managed to be loud and annoying beyond belief. There was this cool new Batman cartoon that seemed to be about Batman's early career and that was cool. The new TMNT cartonn was watchable but strayed too far from its roots in my opinion. There seemed to be a lot of japanese manga based cartoons as well. The one I saw was 'One Piece' which is actually a pretty fun manga, but the english voice overs made all the characters seem incredibly stupid.
  17. I've played games almost exculsively on PC since the early N64 days, so controls without a mouse seem strange now. From a pure control perspective I think any game where you have to look around or interact with something, the keyboard mouse setup is inherently superior. Of course some games work a lot better with control pads, like fighting and shooting games.
  18. Wasn't the movie a series of shows that aired about three thundercats who survived the destruction of the Thundercat homeworld? I even remember two of their names, Bengali the white tiger and Lynx the blind well, lynx. Can't remember the female name though. They get captured and the other thundercats go out to rescue them. All the major villians make an appearance. Those were pretty great episodes.
  19. Been checking out the site, all that modded content is making me twitch. Dare I install BG1 and BG2 plus all the expansion packs and all the added content and possibly never come out of my home again? Very tempting.
  20. Someone did a remake of BG1 with the BG2 engine?
  21. Panthro also rocked because he had cool guitar background music! That guitar piece was awesome. *Goes to search for Thundercats theme music*
  22. That's what I want to know? Are they parallel universe kinda things? Or each series is from a different time-space? Transformers brings back good memories though. Especially of me singing the theme song into a blowing fan so my vocie would sound robotic. I thought I was pretty cool back then. :">
  23. My sister installed the Sims on my computer once and she was hooked for about a month. I tried it as well but was turned off after I discovered that it took my little sim an hour to go to the bathroom.
