  1. That was a legitimately good and satisfying sixty-nine minutes of television.
  2. I dislike just using one or two polls to make an argument, but FiveThirtyEight grades WashingtonPost/ABC News as an A+ pollster. There's something to that. Looking at the big picture, Clinton has had a steady, and sometimes huge lead in the aggregate over Trump since the start of the campaign season. It's getting closer to final bell and Clinton's been more than capable of absorbing Trump's haymakers.
  3. For you, Volo: In Oladipo, they finally got their third scorer behind KD and Westbrook. He's also a very good two player and one if he best in defending against the Pick N Roll. They gained a veteran Stretch 4 in Ilyasova, and a highly skilled and smart young big with strong pedigree in Sabonis. Ibaka is still a good player, but he's been in decline the last two seasons and is no longer an elite defending see -which is his calling card. Most importantly, OKC, cleared valuable cap space --because you know...they have a pretty good player who's an unrestricted free agent and is due for a huge payday.
  4. No its not, ignore what people on Twitter say There are many different negative views on this development which ones are you referring to? I'm not properly educated on the matter. I was referring to a lot of reactionary tripe on social media denouncing the patriarchy and such. Haven't seen many examples of how this will be bad for the UK, which is why I ask. Here's a level headed primer: http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/brexit-britain-votes-to-leave-european-union/
  5. Probably somewhere in between the Europocalypse and Pax Brittannia.
  6. Thanks, Obama! Donald!
  7. OKC traded Ibaka to Orlando for Oladipo, Ilyasova, and Sabonis. Not good for the rest of the West.
  8. Trump's #'s have taken a nosedive once Clinton clinched the Democratic nomination. Johnson polling at 7.0% and Stein at 4.4%. Betting markets currently giving Clinton 75% and Trump 19% chance at winning. Irish lines are giving Clinton 1:3 odds and Trump 5:2.
  9. Not quite Nelson at Trafalgar, but still...
  10. Whoo, $900 for a ticket. Ouch. I've had a bit to drink, but not that much. I suppose I could sell my tix. But then again I was on that wait list for years. Why bother getting on it in the first place to only sell Game 7 of the Finals.
  11. ...Can't very well not go to Game 7 now.
  12. Then again, Obama also grew up with an Indonesian stepfather and a half Indonesian sister who married into a Korean-American family.
  13. Obama is half white and was raised by a white mother and white grandparents.
  14. You do realize that as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton does not set foreign policy. She advises, but ultimately takes orders from the President.
  15. Latest ABC/Washington Post poll: Hard for a guy who is essentially pushing single digit favorability with 36% of the population. That 41% Net favoribility gap is not looking pretty for him.
  16. PaddyPower's Democratic VP lines: -Elizabeth Warren: 5/2 -Tim Kaine: 3/1 -Julian Castro: 7/2 -Bernie Sanders: 7/1 -Tom Perez: 9/1 Warren jumped way up since last time I checked. She's the flashy pick --by picking her, Clinton is doubling down on the woman vote and rallying the liberal base. But the Democrats are trying to take back the Senate, and can't afford to needlessly lose a seat --while there's a Republican Governor in Massachusetts. The Democratic Party will want/need to develop their thin bench. Julian Castro and Tom Perez make great candidates for this purpose. Young, smart, and capable minorities. Additionally, because they are currently Obama Cabinet secretaries, they're not losing any House/Senate seats. It'll give them greater national exposure, putting them in a position to make their own Presidential run down the line. That is...if they can beat out Gavin Newsom or Kamala Harris when the time comes. Republican VP nominee lines: -Jeff Session: 15/8 -Newt Gingrich: 5/2 -Chris Christie: 16/1 -Susana Martinez: 20/1 -Nikki Haley: 25/1 -Ivanka Trump: 66/1 66/1?? I'd tap that.
  17. Ichiro! one hit away from equaling Pete Rose on the hits list and 23 away from 3,000 with MLB. https://theringer.com/ichiro-pete-rose-hits-record-f27a4a486b8e#.tcpsgp3lc Completely revamped and patterned my College Intramural Softball game the spring of '02 after of him. Halfway through the season, I was called out by the ump for a "swinging bunt." Argued profusely. Fascists.

  19. It'll be released with the upcoming patch (still in beta).
  20. Well written/researched profile on Gary Johnson. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/gary-johnson-is-here-to-tell-you-youre-a-libertarian/
