  1. It's not so much that our suggestions could make an impact on KotOR 2, but whatever we suggest now could plant seeds into the ideas of future Obsidian games. Our ideas and debates with one another could very well spark debates within the developer ranks on how best to approach game making. So lets keep the debates going.
  2. Non-lame jokes will always come across as offensive to someone. Otherwise it wouldn't be funny.
  3. "Honestly, I thought Master Uthar was a much more effective villain than Malak. Cold, calculating, but not Chaotic Stupid." I agree. He's a great villain.
  4. I have to give two answers: Jolee and Yuthura Ban. First Jolee. He is a crotchety old man....aww heck, click his bio. Simple put: Jolee is one of the more complex characters in the history of crpg's. A badass, mazzerruckus of a brotha who has his own personal demons to conquer. He is seeking his own small scale redemption within the larger scope of Revan's redemption. He has done much. He has lost much. He has conviction. He doesn't blindly follow the Jedi Council. He sticks to his guns. It's called integrity. On top of all that, Jolee is a character who can be funny without being over the top like an HK-47 or a Minsc. (although I think they're great characters too) Yuthara Ban. If you followed her own redemption plotline and heard her true story, then I don't need to say much. Mostly I like them because I'm a David Gaider fanboy.
  5. Interesting. So far two votes for Jolee because he seems to be the least annoying. Starwarskid. Are you sure Revan isn't your favorite? You seem to not dislike jedi characters who wouldn't have the audacity to question your (Revan's) methods/choices/manhood. I ask because I really am curious.
  6. "Ur favorite KOTOR jedi or sith besides Revan..." "BESIDES Revan" I missed that part. Was Revan really your favorite? Why? Just curious.
  7. Sounds like you like him because he was the least annoying to you.
  8. For those who have read Frank Miller's Batman: Year One, Bale (from the photo linked above) does resemble David Mazzucchelli's rendition of Bruce Wayne. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch. I think they did a good job with the casting of the other roles too. I'm cautious but very optimistic about this film.
  9. Are you kidding me?? The Mr. Furious "rage" was bada$$
  10. I wasn't all that impressed by the trailer. But as Gromnir said, it looked like KotOR. I like KotOR.
  11. It does look like more of the same. I'd still buy it.
  12. Why does this topic need to die? If you were referring to the off-topicness that this thread meandered off to, you should look at your last few posts. ...I don't like prestige classes.
  13. Gromnir is a gadfly. And a master at that. His posts makes certain boards more lively. Funny stuff. On Topic: I don't really see a need to add prestige classes. Although Obsidian probably needs to add them to give the game a more seemingly "epic" feel to it.
  14. Sports Night and in second place by a large margin: Firefly
  15. The early Jack Ryan novel adaptations should be set in the Cold War setting as when they were originally written. Same goes for the Bourne Identity.
  16. Asimov's dialogues were rather quaint but his plots were airtight. There are no loose ends in his stories. I agree that Clarke is a very intelligent writer whose prose was clumsy. Within the Science Fiction genre, I'd say that Philip K. D-I-C-K was the best novelist. My favorites: Asimov, PK D I C K, Robert Heinlein, Ellison, Alfred Bester.
  17. Ok. You're right. I remember him letting her go and she ended up killing Jedi. But I thought he caught up with her again and then killed her. My bad.
  18. really? hmmm. are you sure? I thought he did.
  19. Thank you Volourn. I happen to be a person of color living in California and although we do have our problems, the people here are more tolerent of other ethnicities/cultures than other more homogoneous places. Feeling a little patriotic today...
  20. Since Asimov? Since Asimov's generation? Since his birth? passing? or as in...best after Asimov? Well...there are plenty of good SF (not sci-fi --urgggh) writers in his generation: Arthur C. Clarke, Alfred I'm a aware of his--Ray Bradbury--work Bester (simpson's reference), Robert Heinlein, and Poul Anderson Post Asimov Generation: Harlan Ellison, Philip K. ****, Frank Herbert, Larry Niven, Roger Zelazny, Philip Jose Farmer, Michael Crichton, Michael Moor****, and Card. Within the Post Asimov generation, I'd rate Card well behind Ellison, P.K. ****, and Herbert and in the same pack as the rest on that list.
