  1. I've been looking forward to this mod for a while. However, I'm not desperate enough to actually want to beta test the thing. I am curious to see as to how different EB is going to turn out from the Rome Total Realism mod.
  2. For Obsidian and the entertainment value of flame wars.
  3. Because I enjoyed both KotORs immensely, I will buy the third. Especially if Obsidian were to develop it --with MCA as lead designer, of course.
  4. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Jagged Alliance 2
  5. The manual includes the Microsoft people, but the 200+ count were Bio names. Tallying the Microsoft names puts the count well over 200+. Do you have JE? Count. Perhaps not all 200 worked on the game at the same time, but they contributed enough to warrant inclusion into the manual. Hell, D. Gaider wasn't listed back there. Even under the special thanks portion.
  6. Dave Gaider said as much somewhere at the BioBoards I believe. Also, the count of Bioware names at the end of the JE manual lists over 200+ employees.
  7. Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows
  8. I'll be getting it.
  9. I've just picked up the Morrowind GOTY edition for $20. I know of the stigma that's been associated with the game, but I want to keep an open mind. I'd appreciate some mod suggestions. What do they do and where can I find them? Gracias.
  10. Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasions NWN 2 Dragon Age maybe list Hammer & Sickle Oblivion FO 3 The Fall
  11. That's why I liked it best. It wasn't galaxy spanning or epic. It wasn't about saving the universe or about Jedi vs. Sith. It was the story of various Jedi (or ex-Jedi) dealing with their personal demons. I would actually say it has some impact on the KotOR games. Not so much with the plot elements that you correctly suggest, but thematically. KotOR was about redemption. TSL was about the mentor-student relationships and the nature of the Force. TOJ: Redemption heavily deals with those issues, and I doubt that Ohlen, Gaider and Avellone didn't have that story in mind when they were writing their respective scripts.
  12. Minor addendum to the list: Tales of the Jedi: Redemption -perhaps the best of the bunch. An epilogue to the first three story collections.
  13. I read the story. Nice job MCA!
  14. Jade Empire wasn't that good. The biggest problem was that it was way too short. There are several others like lack of weapons, side quests, magic powers, long load times, lack of variety of enemies, lack of customization, everything was too simple, also I felt like the game was geared too much toward the masses... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, Jade Empire is too short. Yes, there is a lack of all the things you've listed. And most certainly, Bioware did target this game for a more broad, mass market appeal. However, its execution was near flawless. It's easily the most polished, and bug-free rpg in recent memory. Most importanly, JE is a fun, fun game to play with an original and unique setting. It's got great characters, fantastic artwork, a more than serviceable plotline, and outstanding roleplaying elements. So I disagree, JE is an exellent game. That said, I would vote for K2 as rpg of the year, warts et al.
  15. TSL deserves to win. Although I'm surprised Bioware didn't win...
  16. Dragon Age and NWN Deuce. Also the RTR 6.0 mod for Rome: Total War.
  17. Well, they did release buggy game after buggy game... A victory for consumerism! ...although I did like Bloodlines. AND bought it on the first day...
  18. Or he'll stop posting altogether like the rest of the Obsidian devs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Say it ain't so, JE! Say it ain't so!
  19. I assume we'll start to see a dramatic increase in black and white O's in the left hand margins starting next week.
  20. It could very well be another Qel-Droma clansman.
  21. 1. What elements in 'KotOR II' did you find the most impressive? -The influence system and the game's attempt at looking into the nature of the Force. 2. What was your favorite moment? - Atris and the Exile confronting each other for the first time in Telos since the Exile's umm...exile. 3. What location would you have like to see more extensively? - Malachor V. It needs more substance. 4. What was your favorite Robe to wear? - The ugly green one. . 5. What was your favorite Lightsaber Crystal? - The first one that allows me to build my lightsaber. 6. Did you prefer to play as a male or female PC? - Male. 7. If there was (one) conclusion you would like to have seen what or whose would it be? Just One! -Bao Dur's Remote, Go-To, HK-47 triangle at the end. 8. At this point, you know about the missing content, out of everything that was edited, what (one) element would you have like to see completed? Just One! - Droid Factory. 9. Out of all the Star Wars games, and without listing them all, what would you rate this game? - In my top two. 10. Despite the game being as it is, what would you consider to be the most successfull addition to the series? - The telling of The Exile's saga into the KotOR mythos. 11. Who was you favorite character, and why? - Atris. I'm a sucker for flawed tragic figures. I feel sorry for her. 12. What (one) element in 'KotOR I' would you liked to have seen in KotOR II? Why? -K1's polish.
  22. The Total War series are turn based strategy games with a real time tactical engine. Does that count?
  23. If you ever find a decent storyline summary, here's a good supplement. -heavy spoilers- http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=27064
  24. I thought the interview to be rather hilarious. Like the first one.
  25. I enjoyed The Sith Lords more, but Jade Empire is the superior game.
