http://m.pcgamer.com/2014/07/25/the-pc-gamer-show-episode-2-pillars-of-eternity-fallout-new-vegas-divinity-original-sin/ Haven't seen this posted yet, but PC GAMER interview with Sawyer. Talks about New Vegas and Eternity, and Josh's feedback with this board's regulars. Other stuff w/o Josh where they try to rank and define RPGs and a play through of Divinity. -
IGN Article about PoE.

I actually agree with this. I feel that the closer we get to launch, the spirit of the kickstarter is being lost. I has questions when E3 came around, but let it slide. Now that several media outlets are getting to play around with the actual game, I am getting miffed. No one should have played this game before backers. Actually, no media outlets have actually played the game yet. Everything has been carefully curated and the demos are actually controlled by Obsidian. Why? Because as Josh stated, the game state is still buggy and unpolished. They only wanted to show sections and features that were actually working and looking relatively pretty. Would you rather they just sit on their hands with the PR and NOT show anything at all? Relax, backers will get their chance to broadcast to the world and rant first hand on about how buggy and ugly the beta looks on Aug 18, while some of us roll our eyes. -

Wasn't it referencing that in the next scripted interaction, the PC will be throwing his axe at the antagonist who obstructs the rogue party member? Thus, he won't be able to use the axe afterwards. -
Fat Athletes With Wood - aka The Baseball 2014 Thread

http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/billion-dollar-billy-beane/ Billy Beane: Art, you got a minute? Art Howe: Yeah. Take a seat. Billy Beane: You can't start Peña at first tonight. You'll have to start Hatteberg. Art Howe: Yeah, I don't want to go fifteen rounds, Billy. The lineup card is mine, and that's all. Billy Beane: That lineup card is definitely yours. I'm just saying you can't start Peña at first. Billy Beane: Well, I am starting him at first. Billy Beane: I don't think so. He plays for Detroit now. Art Howe: You *traded* Peña? Billy Beane: Yeah. And Menechino, Hiljus, Tam are all being sent down. Art Howe: You are outside your mind. Billy Beane: Yeah. Cuckoo. Jeremy Giambi: [knocking on door] You wanted to see me? Billy Beane: Yeah, Jeremy, grab a seat. [Jeremy sits down] Billy Beane: Jeremy, you've been traded to the Phillies. This is Ed Wade's number. He's a good guy, he's the GM. He's expecting your call. Buddy will help you with the plane flight. You're a good ballplayer, Jeremy, and we wish you the best. [Jeremy sighs, and exits] Billy Beane: Jeremy's gone, too. Art Howe: [shaking his head in disbelief] You're killing this team. "The John Friggin Mabry" trade was legendary. -

Re: Love. All these rumors about Cleveland willing to part with Ender Wiggin or Golden State with Klay Thompson are probably leaked Flip Saunders himself. There is absolutely no reason why either Cleveland or Golden State would reveal their hand unless a deal was already in place. Flip has very little leverage here.

The original Kickstarter pitch stated that you will be able to export your created PC in future installments so unless there is an in-game Project Eternity that deals specifically with eternal life for your character, I don't think advancing the timeline a few hundred years will mesh very well with their stated intentions. But, it would be pretty cool to see a steampunk version of the gameworld in a spinoff of some sorts.

The Official Romance Thread
Leferd replied to Blarghagh's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
One that deliberately mocks the entire concept of video game romances... and does it via dry wit.Interestingly enough, Obsidian has the perfect writer on their staff for such an undertaking. Chris Avellone. Actually, didn't Avellone already do that? Specifically Alpha Protocol's hatemance with Sie. You antagonize her all game and then in a reversal, she rapes you in a bondage situation when you are tied up. -
This is rich. Not exactly DA related but Bio has a survey up asking for feedback on the next Mass Effect. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/69HFZTS

Lebron in Cleveland is a better team than Lebron in Miami.

Argentina is not as loaded as Barcelona. Messi was blitzed all tourney. He had no release valve. That said, he was still the most dynamic player in the tournament.
-
With the Germans missing Khedera, Argentina is controlling the midfield.

Argentina looking good so far. They're being aggressive.

Robben is fun.

Man, you realy get super excited about the most random things. The rails ended some time ago, but the train continues, somehow, inexorably. Is the game on TV today ... I don't have cable. I see they're shutting down a city block here, for the final. It's as if Americans care about soccer. In real football news, pre-season starts August 7, Cowboys, Chargers. Finally! It's on ABC.

Yep. Morey botched it. Then again, if I was Pat Riley, Evil Mastermind, why the hell would I offer Bosh a max deal -5 years $118 million?? Dude is past his prime and even he admitted that he's gone soft in his "old" age. Well atleast the real free agency period has started now that Lebron is no longer holding the 30 teams hostage.
-
Welp. Looks like Bosh is staying in Miami now.

Houston wants to trade Lin to LA to clear space for Bosh and Parsons. The Lakers can absorb Lin's contract.
-
Immediate repercussions: Looks like Bosh to Houston. Houston will match Dallas for Parsons. Lin to LA Lakers. Cleveland is now going after Kevin Love.
