  1. Doesn't sound like them being much of refugees if an incoming cold winter and an economic downturn would make them think twice. //edit: They were Iraqis, lol I'm fine if less refugees come to Europe because they think life is hard in the EU...life is harder in the EU than people assume So Elerond and Meshugger if you guys are feeling guilty about Finland creating such a bad impression of the EU....don't feel guilty. People also need to see the negative of the EU that isn't even that severe Finland will create much worse impression in time period from December to February when temperature here is averagely between -10 - -30 degree of Celsius and you see sun only couple hours in day. Culture shock that it causes for people from ME is enormous even when one is prepared to it not to mention people that aren't. Dark and cold, awesome music, sounds like my kind of place.
  2. Moonbeam City is gold. Its like a Metalocalypse version of 80s miami.
  3. MGSV sounds like a pretty big departure from the previous games
  4. You find out in DA:I why he was imprisoned instead of killed too.
  5. 2nd leadership debate last night. Elizabeth May was not invited so she live-tweeted throughout, responding to the questions and the responses of the other candidates. NDP say they clearly won, Conservatives say they clearly won, everyone else says Trudeau won. I tend to agree, though the clear loser was the moderator, who did a terrible job. It likely won't make a difference in the election like the Consortium one usually does(which usually gets 4 times as many viewers as the Stanley Cup playoffs) as I doubt many canadians tuned into a live Youtube debate. edit, I was right. Consortium debate usually gets about 10 million viewers. Globe and Mail debate last night got 300k on Youtube. Though I doubt anyone is curious enough to sit through it, here is the debate
  6. Thats cool. I hope to see more devs from other cultures doing games based on their mythology
  7. If you want the serious breakdowns and all the pretty charts and data, follow the link. Well when you can get an ebook from the big publishers for 12 dollars or one from indie publishers for 3, sometimes thats an easy decision. I got my kindle before publishers told amazon they got to set the price or amazon couldn't sell the books, at that point the average price for ebooks was $4-6. After publishers started setting the prices they went up to 12-15, generally significantly more than a print book. I stopped buying ebooks after that.
  8. South Park, welcome back.
  9. Is Nyberg the one who posted a bunch of cp to 8chan then reported it claiming 8chan hosted cp in order to discredit it?
  10. I read the John Carter books after the movie and while I really liked the movie I felt some of the changes they made were unnecessary. Changing the character of John Carter from a southern gentleman to a dour rogue was not a high point, and I preferred Tars Tarkas' character arc in the books much better than the movie. Bringing the villains of the 2nd book over into the first movie felt unnecessary as well. Overall though I enjoyed the hell out of the movie.
  11. It could easily be EA approaching them to develop a game for them. It would be a good move on EA's part if they could seal the deal, but I don't see any benefit to CDPR
  12. New ads Liberal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdFxaKNd6xc Conservative: NDP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpSLtS0Jlis The NDP also had one that used audio of Stephen Harper singing With A Little Help From My Friends while showing him with all the Conservative members who have been accused or convicted of various crimes. It got pulled due to a copyright complaint. Also, The Con ad complaining about Mulcair being a career politian is pretty hyprocritical considering Stephen Harper was only employed as a mailroom clerk for 2 years before entering politics in his 20s.
  13. I just vote for the guy who is going to take bribes from who I agree with.
  14. Update, Conservatives now in 3rd place behind NDP and Liberals. Conservatives dropped some candidates due to one being caught on hidden camera in 2012 urinating in a client's coffee mug during a CBC marketplace sting on repairmen, the other was a youtube crank caller called the Unicaller, who's video where he impersonates a disabled person came to light the day Harper announced a fund for disabled people. Liberals dropped two candidates as well, one for criticizing Israel, one for saying she was fine with kids smoking pot. Really boring campaign so far really, probably due to the extra 30 days. Will post new ads once my computer is back up.
  15. Been wanting to watch Tron Legacy again for a while, finally did it today. Makes me sad they scrapped the sequel in favor of a Tim Burton Dumbo movie.
  16. I believe I have a classic case of dry socket. It is not great. I stayed home today, and tomorrow I go to see the doctor. I guess it is pretty typical though, just need to stay on the Motrin. Commonly described as the worst pain you can be in without being mortally wounded. I think my nerves are shot though, because I had it twice and I would describe it as mild discomfort. Co-Worker had it and couldn't get out of bed for a day, and he's one of the toughest mother effers I know.
  17. If past experience is any indication, whatever changes they make will make the movie worse.
  18. Youtube needs a transcript tool. I don't have time to watch a 40 minute video, but I can read a transcript in 10.
  19. Voyager was the first Trek I watched from the beginning. I started DS9 a season in, caught TNG through syndication, Voyager was the first one I made a point to sit and watch every week. Then they changed nights and I couldn't watch anymore. Was shortly after the episode they ended up in the 90s dealing with the guy who stole the timeship and reverse engineered it to start a tech company. Enterprise gets better every season. Season 4 was some of the best Trek IMO.
  20. I was watching some of the remastered original Trek a while back and actually really enjoyed it. Hated it when my dad would watch it in the 80s, didn't get into Trek until TNG, but I hope to go back and watch the old stuff sometime. Right now me and my daughter are bonding over DS9. She likes Quark and Odo because they look funny.
  21. Did he ever finish the series? I bought first trade, but there was never a second one
  22. Yeah, NicheGamer covers japanese stuff pretty heavily, but also major gaming stories and smaller devs. Covers Obsidian and inXile a bunch. The way they cover it I'd like to see them expand though. Which is a challenge because they got their advertising account suspended because GamerGate likes them. TechRaptor is pretty much fully on the GG side complaining about SJWs and such, so I can understand them being punished, but NicheGamer is simply the kind of site GG wants rather than a supporter.
  23. Yeah, my main issue early on wasn't the sjw agenda of the gaming sites, it was that there wasn't anywhere to go that either didn't give a crap about it, or opposed it. Luckily now we have NicheGamer and TechRapptor, though TechRaptor is a bit over the top when it comes to pointing out SJW BS. Niche Gamer is just about the games, no political BS, so I hope they grow.
  24. I also have a Steam copy of Crusader Kings 2 I can gift. I keep forgetting about it because its in my Steam inventory rather than my humble bundle list.
