Fallout 4 is coming soon.. is there a new OB Fallout Scheduled?
Oerwinde replied to dava4444's topic in Computer and Console
You haven't played Pillars? Stop wasting your time posting on boards are go play it! It's outstanding. After you're done with W3 that is. Yeah, you can't really play Pillars then complain about Obsidian's worldbuilding. And I thought New Vegas did a much better job than F3 did. -

I still think they need to contract out a smaller budget isometric spinoff to Obsidian or inXile. -

Since the Vampire clans are based on various vampire archetypes, I wonder if a new edition will add sparkly daywalkers -

I would assume he's busy on Double Bear's next game, plus being in Seattle would make collaborating harder than the Obsidian/InXile collaborations. I wouldn't be a huge fan of a return to first person, but I wouldn't mind a more cinematic approach to a Vampire/WoD game. Maybe a compromise and do something akin to the Dragon Age games. -

It's probably because of the characters in VtMB. They all have this unique personality and character to them, it's quite extraordinary. I don't know if it's the voice acting or the writing itself, but VtMB is an achievement when it comes to how to make NPCs feel like actual characters and not just models that **** out quests. I think he was talking about the PnP game. I bought all the VtM sourcebooks because I was a huge fan of the lore behind Vampire. Only played one game of it though. Got the books shortly before graduation and everyone moved away. -
And once again they stick to the narrative the Anita was "forced" to cancel her speaking event, despite police telling her there was no credibility to the threat (as the guy was in Brazil).

What's on the idiot box Part 4 (or something)

While his capitalism vs communism stuff was pretty heavy handed, I actually see a lot of Soul of the Fire playing out now adays. That said I was a huge fan of the books and the hack job they did adapting the show turned me off pretty quickly. Now that I've cooled down though, and with really not much but some concepts and character names taken from the books I wouldn't mind giving it another go. -
Supposedly the harassment didn't start until the SavePoint panel was announced. Would be funny if they came out and admitted that it was people associated with the anti-harassment panel harassing them about SavePoint that made them cancel both. Would make a lot of people look stupid.

They're a joint operation between Hollywood and the video game industry in order to have an alternative to Nazis as the goto real world villains.

Ugh... Such a terrible joker.

I almost think details of trials should be kept secret until a verdict is found. People who get dragged through the court of Nancy Grace then found innocent are generally seen as guilty by the public anyway.

I'm going to guess she said boys have a **** and girls have a vagina. Pretty much. Said you can't be a woman just by declaring it and getting castrated. I think it was in response to Caitlyn Jenner being named Glamour Magazine's woman of the year.

Stephane Dion (previous Liberal Leader and all-around hardworking MP) came up with a proposal he called P3, for Proportional, Preferential, Personalized. Basically his system would have larger ridings with multiple MPs. Each party would supply the list of candidates for each riding, and you would rank both the party and the candidates. This way each party would get the proportion of the seats in that riding that they gained, and the candidates put forward for that proportion were chosen by the voters rather than the party. This would allow for independent candidates to get seats if they were ranked higher than candidates in a party. He's a big federalist Quebecer too. When Quebec argued that if they voted to separate, their territorial integrity couldn't be sacrificed (Quebec the Province couldn't be broken up when it became Quebec the country). This was after people argued that since large swaths of Quebec, such as the north, and southwest voted overwhelmingly against succession (in the 70% range), that those parts should be allowed to remain part of Canda. Quebec used some UN decision on territorial integrity not being able to be broken based on a small amount of the population. Dion argued if that was the case, just over half of Quebec shouldn't be able to make a decision on the territorial integrity of Canada, and since like 60% of Quebec's territory was granted by an act of Canadian parliament, they could easily revoke that act of parliament and strip them down to their original boundaries.

It is based on comic books. Uncle Ben is the only one safe from resurrection in comics. -
Someone needs to remake Basewars. One of my favorite games as a kid.

Been trying to catch up on Thor and such. Just finished up to Fear Itself and the first arc afterwards of Journey Into Mystery. Kid Loki is a great character.

We criticize the west while ignoring the rest of the world because we live in the west where criticism might make a difference in our lives, where elsewhere is really unrelated to our everyday lives.

Most of his points are based on the Dark Knight Returns not existing.

Turns out my kid broke the tv on day 91 of the 90 day return policy. Similar to my video card dying on day 31 of the 30 day return policy a few years back.

Our new PM being AWESOME.

Proper STV is a great system, us going for mixed member proportional instead when we switched from first past the post was a horrible decision. STV means you still get the stability of a majority government every once in a while, without MPs being elected with 25% of the vote, so I'm game
-
That's funny....how is he going to do that ? Well a quarter of 184 mps is still quite a few, and Harper had the largest cabinet of any pm ever with like 30 positions. Trudeau likely won't have as large of a cabinet, so he'll probably only need like 10 or so, but he'll likely have to gloss over some much more qualified male candidates to do it. Trudeau spent most of yesterday morning shaking hands, taking photos and speaking directly to people in a montreal metro station. So he meets directly with people of all types, and has an open relationship with the press. So far a total 180 from Harper's vetted events and 5 question limit with no follow ups. The openness pledge from his platform is in full swing already
-
So if the Liberals switch the electoral system to STV which is what looks likely, Harper may be the last conservative Prime Minister, and the Greens might make significant gains in BC Oh and Bruce, this will make you happy. Trudeau vowed his cabinet will be made up by half women, despite women only making up about a quarter of liberal MPs.(they ran more than that but a lot were defeated)

Me too, but I'm not surprised it got cancelled. The game didn't do as well as expected and I'm not sure how good the ratings were. -
Trudeau told Obama today that he would be pulling Canadian jets from Iraq and Syria. He also took questions from the press in the national press gallery. That hasn't happened in 7 years.
