Kylo Ren is Prequel Anakin as portrayed by a good actor under the guidance of a good director. Looking forward to his character development. Really I enjoyed all the new characters except the First Order general dude. He was trying really hard to be threatening and it just didn't work. Also Phasma was like ridiculously overhyped. She really is the new Boba Fett, look really cool then get taken out really easily after doing literally nothing. Also, Luke's hair.

Sounds like he wasn't creatively fulfilled. For a guy like MCA thats as good as any reason to leave. I hope we see some sort of project with him in the lead at some point.

Will Smith turned it down so they wrote him out of the movie. They approached every cast member of the original that lived except the girl who played the president's daughter(who is still a working actress and headlined her own movie last year so people just assumed they didn't think she was hot enough)

Christmas has become more than a christian holiday in the west. The commercialization and the various non-christian traditions have made it extremely accessible as a holiday. In vancouver I know many Sikhs, Buddhists, and Hindus who all celebrate christmas because they like the traditions and symbols involved. Santa, christmas trees, gift exchange, the feasts, the message of family and togetherness, in a society drifting further apart due to the internet its very appealing. Oh, and the lights too.

We started off liking Dark Matter more than Killjoys, but were way more into killjoys by the end of the season. Much better world building.

In the west muslim and Arab have become pretty much synonymous, and english uses a lot of generalizations to speed communication. I don't really consider it terrorism unless a terrorist group claims responsibility. There were two attacks in canada the Conservatives tried to label terrorism but the general population didn't consider it so because both instances were just lone crazies.

Brimstone, IIRC. In the comics, Brimstone was a creation of Darkseid. Yeah, I googled him afterwards. Also, it seems I missed a bunch of the trailer when I first watched it(was walking home), and watching it again, the character design is pretty obviously Doomsday.

My first reaction was it was Atomic Skull. Now I realize I was misnaming the giant skull faced atomic energy monster from the first episode of Justice League Unlimited.

Yeah, the showrunners really hate romance. For that reason alone I'm expecting Hunter or Bobby to die in any episode they show up in. :?They're getting a spinoff, so I think they're safe.

I'm really digging the show. Its totally style over substance, but its gorgeous and the fight scenes are wonderful. Post apocalyptic samurai western.

I've been stuck at the character creation screen for two days. I can't become even passably adept at every skill and my completionist compulsion is stopping me from progressing until I find a way. Even the Witcher 2 prologue wasn't this much of a challenge. You create a party of 4. Split your skills amongst all 4, and plan for which companions you'll take.

I never thought of it before, but really all the Bajorans have kind of an elvish vibe. Garak and Dukat were definitely highlights of the show. Garak was my favorite character. Much further in Jessica Jones, definitely gets better as the show progresses, so far 2 "Sweet Christmas" from Luke Cage, and Kilgrave is a creepy villain. Still not as good as Daredevil, but still an excellent show. Looking forward to Luke Cage now especially how his fight scenes play out. He is completely calm during fights because he essentially can't be hurt.
