Why is this concerning? Cut off their money supply, cripple them. Seems like sound strategy. Probably why Russia did it in the first week they started attacking ISIS. -
One thing I don't understand, Cruz was born in Canada, I thought you had to be born in the US to run for president.

I think its funny that we had our longest election in like 100 years, not quite 4 months long, and everyone complained it was too long. I can't even imagine having one like a year and a half long.

A remake is when you use the original movie as the base for the new one, a new adaption is when you use the original source as the base for your new one. I Am Legend isn't a remake of The Omega Man, it was a new adaption of I Am Legend. F4ntastic wasn't a remake of the Tim Story FF movies, it was an adaption of the Ultimate Fantastic Four comics.

Me and the wife really enjoyed Jupiter Ascending. Most of the stuff that got ridiculed made perfect sense to us. I'm just a big Wachowski fan though. Only thing they've made I didnt like was Sense8

I pirated a lot as a teen and when I was unemployed in my 20s. Now that I have Steam and a decent job I tend to buy a lot of the games I pirated knowing full well I am not likely to play them again. For me it was simply I had no money and wanted to play games. I had no justification other than I wanted to play and piracy allowed me to do so. Now I have almost 300 games in my steam library because games are much more affordable for me.

What bugs me about the Razzies is for worst actor/actress they usually just take the leads from their worst film nominees, even if there wasn't anything wrong with their performance. Jupiter Ascending doesn't deserve to be on there either.

According to an AMA yesterday, Oculus is essentially trying to be the Steam of VR too. They helped fund a bunch of exclusive VR games to get people to get their games through the oculus store (games are exclusive to the store, not the Rift.) So their endgame isn't to have the most pervasive hardware, but to be the goto place for VR everything.

This actually kind of excites me.
Netflix was pretty sparse when it launched in Canada too. Not that I minded. 700 movies and 100 tv series was enough to keep me going for a few months, and by the time I had watched everything I wanted from launch they had added like 600 new titles. Canadians are whiners. "Wah, more movies and tv than I can watch in a year for the price of one HD on demand rental per month, but theres 300 less titles than the US so I feel ripped off"
I would love a proper Birthright game. It was my favorite D&D setting. Roleplaying as a ruler or merchant-prince, or some such important figure.
I got bored about a third of the way though Sword of Shanarra and gave up. The wife has them all though, should I give them another try? (I was like 16 and had just finished reading the first Wheel of Time book when I read it)
Everyone's been a child at some point. How old are these "children"? And of course they won't age. Basically they just didn't accept single adult (18+) males as far as I know.

I generally agree with this, the problem imo however is mainly that public speakers and especially people on social media, are utterly incapable of speaking without deep implicit racial stereotypes - which absolutely needs to be adressed, even if their other points are valid. And if those stereotypes could be addressed with a "this assumption is wrong because, *insert reason*, but I see your point, please go on" rather than "RACIST! YOUR OPINIONS ARE WRONG AND YOU'RE A BAD PERSON WHO SHOULD LOSE HIS JOB AND BE FORCED INTO POVERTY AS VENGEANCE FOR A SINGLE STATEMENT" that would be super cool.- 512 replies

Realistically his and Luke Cage's series should just get one season each then combine into Heroes For Hire. Then move forward with the rumored Punisher and Moon Knight series'
Seems like the netflix Iron Fist series is in some sort of progressive paradox. Main character was a white guy raised in a mystic asian city to be a martial arts hero, so the progressives want him changed to asian to avoid the white saviour trope, but then that makes him an asian martial arts hero which the progressives also don't want because it feeds traditional asian film stereotypes. They can't make him black because then the dynamic between him and Luke Cage in which a poor black guy from harlem schools the rich white guy on the streets is ruined.
Thats the atmosphere that has been created. No one can voice anything that could be interpreted as negative against anyone who isn't white or they get torn apart, so people just stay silent in important issues.- 512 replies

Adult Swim Canada is advertising the Canadian premiere of Rick and Morty pretty hard. Too bad season 2 is finished in the US and most people who were interested in the show have already watched it. Its like these people forget that the internet exists.
Its all racism. Just different origins for it. Black on white racism is generally based on injustices of the past, or current injustices. White on black is generally based on either ignorance, or perceived or real current injustices.
