  1. DAI is probably the buggiest game I've played. Its the first where the bugs actually impacted my enjoyment of the game at least. Two major bugs I've encountered, one where periodically during combat something happens and its like there are invisible obstacles on the ground. I can move until I hit one then have to jump over it to continue. It continues after combat and I can't loot bodies or chests. Saving and reloading fixes it. The other one was when sitting in judgement it will load for up to 5 minutes then let me run around with the assembly and the one I'm judging standing in the room rather than starting the cutscene. I really enjoy the game but the last few patches have been almost exclusively multiplayer garbage, yet bugs like that still happen.
  2. I believe either he had already finished and submitted it/them for editing, or he confirmed he would finish them.
  3. Major policy announcements have been thusb Liberal Raise taxes on wealthy, I believe they specified those making 400k per year or more, lower taxes on middle(between 40 and 100k) Replace taxable flat childcare bonus with one untaxed and weighted by income Legalize marijuana NDP 15$ federal minimum wage. Only federal employees or federally regulated professions get this 15$ a day childcare Conservatives Stricter drug laws Ban people from travelling to "terrorist hot spots" Bring back home reno tax credit
  4. Several NDP candidates have been pulled due to public comments criticizing Israel. They and other party members are referring to NDP party leader Thomas Mulcair as a dictator akin to Steven Harper. The Duffy trial (Conservative senator accused of defrauding the government and paid off by Harper's chief of staff) is starting to affect Conservative numbers, with some polls putting them in 3rd place behind the Liberals
  5. The directors cut is like a whole different movie. One of my favorites.
  6. The Society of Professional Journalism got a panel together to discuss the failures in covering Gamergate and other leaderless movements and how they can do better going forward. Guys I can tell all of you exactly why GG failed...you don't need the SPJ I won't be condescending but its a fair amount of writing so I wont post it unless someone specifically wants to know The SPJ approached Gamergate to discuss how journalists failed in their coverage of GG. One of the main points was how every other leaderless group journalists stressed that fringe elements were fringe elements, and shouldn't be defined by them, where with GamerGate the journalists went out of their way to define it by its fringe elements.

  8. Supposedly it was expected and measures were taken preemptively so it wouldn't be too disruptive.
  9. http://www.pcgamer.com/hatred-review/ Volo I see your game Hatred has been released...as expected it didn't score very high I was interested in it until the reviews started hitting and it wasn't just the subject matter people were objecting to. I'll give it a shot when it hits super cheap.
  10. Dragon Age Inquisition isn't available on Steam, sadly. I would have preferred a steam version.
  11. What Mods are you using? I am interested when I start playing DA:I I had a bunch of NPC appearance tweaks, so everyone isn't so shiny, one that changes the loot table to add more crafting materials and schematics to loot drops, and a store in Redcliffe that sells higher tier crafting materials. There really isn't much in the way of mods for it due to the file formats or something. And a lot of the mods named in top mod lists are no longer available. I believe the "Softer Cassandra" mod was taken down because the guy was being harassed by SJWs for daring to alter a strong female to make her more attractive. 1. Does that actually prevent updating when you try to a launch a game that has an update available for it? 2. Where is that option? There are no options for "updates": there are the "downloads" options, but there's no option like you suggest that I can see. Origin>Application Settings, scroll down to Updates, uncheck "Automatically keep my games up to date" I don't know if it prevents it from trying to update on launch, but launching in offline mode does.
  12. Exactly how did you do that? I thought that option had been removed and the only three update options were: Always keep this game up to date Update only when you launch High Priority - update this game before all others Unless you play offline, my understanding was that one of those options is going to trigger. If there is a way around that, please share. I've lost a ton of EUIV time when Paradox redid the world map. Went into the options for updates and turned off automatic updates. Was a blanket option for all games, not an individual one. On Origin too.
  13. I think it has something to do with the mods I was using. I turned off automatic updates so it doesn't happen again. Hopefully when the repair finishes I can try loading a different save. Edit: Finished the repair, game crashed to desktop before getting to the menu. Downloaded new version of mod manager, did a new merge, worked and loaded my game. 3 hour ordeal resulted in success, now I can go to bed knowing I can play tomorrow.
  14. Dragon Age Inquisition updated last night and broke my savegames. Looks like 80 hours of progress lost.
  15. Saw Avi Arad was a producer. Guess he'll have to add a blue bracelet to the red one.
  16. Troll level: Giant Man Is there an applause emoticon?
  17. I wish Blizzard would do a proper single player RPG set in the warcraft universe.
  18. It struck me as a kind of wanna be Firefly with a female Mal. That's not a bad thing, it's a pretty decent show (it and Dark Matter are better than most of the stuff Syfy has put out lately.) It was created by the same person who created Lost Girl (which I'm annoyed they split the final season in half, and the second half isn't being shown until 2016, but that's neither here nor there.) I don't get what Showcase is doing with their original series. Lost Girl and Continuum were their top rated shows and they've treated them like crap
  19. I like the characters of Dark Matter better, and the world of Killjoys better.
  20. The other ones didn't really either. It was just the regular maps preceded by text to explain why you were there.
  21. Amy Adams only wins as Lois because Margot Kidder's Lois comes off as kind of incompetent, and Kate Bosworth was just terrible. Erica Durance blew all three of them out of the water on Smallville, one of the only truly great things about that show. Were I to cast her for a movie now my first choice would be Rachel McAdams
  22. Once DS9 gets into the war with the Klingons and the Dominion invasion it becomes the best Trek hands down. Though season 4 of Enterprise was still damn good. Minus the finale.
  23. First debate was last night. You can tell Macleans wasn't used to hosting a televised debate, usually the major networks(CBC, CTV, and Global) team up to host, but Harper wanted none of that this time. I only caught the first 20 minutes or so, but supposedly Green party leader Elizabeth May dominated, and was largely considered the winner by audiences, but all other leaders claimed victory and May isn't included in any but the Consortium debate (the major network one). But Harper and Mulcair have both now said they won't attend.
  24. I liked him on Eureka
  25. Yea, I just caught that myself on the website. It's easy to forget that the new consoles are basically Athon + Radeon PCs that I don't suppose take as long to port as did the previous generation of RISC based consoles. The Dragon Age franchise has been moving to more of a console priority anyway. DA:O was ported to consoles, DA2 was developed concurrently, DAI was ported to PCs.
