Just beat The Wolf Among Us. Enjoyed it a lot. Makes me wish HBO or something would do a Fables tv series.

Got sick of waiting for Community season 5 to hit Netflix or whatever and just downloaded it. That show is like bathing in pure liquid joy. -
The Great Game Giveaway: Tuesday Edition
Oerwinde replied to ShadySands's topic in Computer and Console
Considering the Hearts of Iron games are often touted as Paradox's best, and I'm a huge fan of EU, CK, and Vicky, I could never get into the HOI games.- 487 replies

Did you feel guilty that you were responsible for her getting suspended ? Oh wait ....this happened to " someone you know " She was way out of my league. She did use mine and my friend's names on her worksheets though, so we might have had a chance.

My high school french teacher was suspended for sex with a student. He was 17 and the age of consent at the time was 14 (now its 16) so she didn't face legal issues. I remember all of us in school being all like "way to go!" because she was kinda hot. His friends said the only reason he exposed her was revenge for her breaking it off with him.

The funny thing, was that petition was up for a while. I think just before the fatpeoplehate ban. From then until right before Victoria's firing it had gotten like 10k signatures. In the last 2 days it got the other 90k.

If Vince ran it would be an entirely different race. Vince has 1000x the presence and Charisma that Trump has... I almost want to see that.

The special features add a lot of insight to the decisions made. They wanted the villain to be someone that the audience could still sort of cheer for until he hit the point of no return. In the comic he did the test on a mass wedding, and the screenwriter felt that that pushed him a little too far too early, so the WBC type people would be the kind of people no one would really feel bad about getting killed, and their murder's wouldn't really stain Colin Firth's character too much. The features, like the Kick Ass ones were quite interesting, as for both the comics and the movies were developed semi-independently. Millar worked on the comic while Vaughn and Goldman worked on the script at the same time, but they were both in contact and discussed the directions they were taking with it, which influenced each other's stories. Honestly, I hope those two do that kind of collaboration often, because it works.

I know quite a few mods have expressed frustration with the current admins, Victoria seems to be the only one that people actually liked, hence the outrage. I know the main mod of KiA has expressed frustration with the double standards of the admins (the boycott threads were banned on KiA but no other sub), and they have been silent on his requests for clarification of the harassment policy because there hasn't actually been any stated policy and people are paranoid that the admins are specifically not telling KiA the policy in hopes it violates it and gets banned.

If that was the announcement of a pro wrestling RPG from Obsidian and whatever MCA is doing now I would be all over that.

IMO, Zoe herself did nothing newsworthy. We don't know any personal motivations, but even if she purposefully slept with Grayson to bring attention to her game, the only one who did anything wrong was Grayson. Anita and co got dragged in because of coincidence. She dropped her video right in the middle of the Gamers Are Dead ****storm, so people latched onto that as well. GG does go a little too far IMO, like how there was a big deal about someone backing a kickstarter then promoting it, and how he should have recused himself because he's an investor. Thats just silly.

The ads for Zoo make me think of a Syfy original. Like if they made Sharknado into a tv series. -
Just watched that norwegian documentary... Holy crap the "gender scientists" sounded exactly like creationists denying evolution.

Has anyone watched sense8? The first episode outside the first and last 5 minutes was so... Not good. I love the Wachowskis so I want to give it another try but not if every episode is like the first. -
Should we call him He Who Shall Not Be Named? Seems mentioning his name summons him.

My understanding is that the 10 was being revised anyway, which was why they suggested putting a woman on that one before the others. Then the financial people suggested the 20 because Jackson opposed the federal reserve so he shouldn't be on money or something.

I would have loved it if they kept the original ending with John Connor dying and them putting his face on Marcus's body and him taking over as leader of the resistance.

That amendment was never ratified. Wow. That's interesting. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees equality under the law for all individuals, giving specific examples of race, sex, ethnic or national origin, age, or disability. I just assumed the US had the same fundamental rights. -

If the constitution prohibits discrimination based on sex, its the court's job to ensure legislation adheres to that. Limiting marriage to a man and a woman discriminates based on sex. -
Minnesota and Vermont are basically Canada anyway.
