I think it depends on the mindset behind the developers. If they believe its art, then its art, if they believe they're just providing entertainment, then its not art. Though if you look at it this way: Literature is considered art. 3d graphics are considered art, music is considered art, games contain all that and more. Doesn't necessarily mean its GOOD art, but still.

Well thats like 1000 bucks just for the systems. Then you have to buy memory cards, extra controllers, games, an HD TV so the graphics actually look next gen.(First thing on my to buy list anyway. My 27" just doesn't cut it anymore). And thats not even considering the Revo.

I'm just pissed that I might have to buy both this gen. The 360 just might have some decent exclusives this gen. (by exclusive I mean not available on PC). The PS3 is a sure buy for me, with the FFs, likely the Suikodens, Xenosagas, Blu-Ray, Metal Gear, GTA, etc. But the 360 will have the non-pc Bioware stuff and the stuff from the FF guy. Bah. The choice was easy last gen, not so this gen.

Yeah. Normally I wouldn't have any problem with it, except that Harper ran his entire campaign based on not doing things like that. Doesn't matter what the reasons are. Though the Liberal Floor-crosser really irks me more than the appointing of friends to important positions. The Cons lost big time in that riding, 8k votes compared to 15k for the NDP and 15k for the Libs, so having him cross over to me seems like a pretty big betrayal of his constituents. 82% of that riding voted against the conservatives, yet now they have a conservative representing their views? Thats just not cool. I'd be pissed.

Unless Sony has developed a bunch of fantastic dev kits and a collection of magical libraries and compilers that abstract out the array of SPUs somehow, it seems very likely that the PS3 is a lot harder to program for. It's not because it used a new processor architecture, it's because of what that architecture looks like. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did anyone read that article posted earlier that said its almost no different from writing code for a multi-core PC processor? Which is what the 360 is.

I wish I had enough money to buy comics still. But I have to choose between Comics and DVDs... and DVDs win. Though I can still buy a trade or two when I have some extra cash. Theres a new Lucifer one coming out in march that I have to save for. Have any other canadians noticed that the Canadian price on the back of books and comics when compared to the US price doesn't reflect the exchange rate? The Canadian dollar is worth 85 cents US, yet an $8US book is still 11 bucks Canadian, or a $14 trade is like $24 canadian. when it should be more like $9 and $16

Interesting. Megagames aren't very far up my trust-list (if I had one..), but it's still fun to read some differing views on the accessibility of the CELL and its SPU's. Too many people claim that it's impossible (or near at least) to write code for, but seldom does anyone have any direct contact with the beast. I read somewhere that over 4000 devkits for the Playstation 3 had been shipped.. I wish Blizzard would do a BG2 style single player game. With Warcraft and Starcraft they've proven they can do a good story, and if they did a BG2 style game it would be a sure hit since everyone would buy it because thats what happens with Blizzard games.

Theres a bunch of fans who are trying to get together the funds to buy the rights to the series so they can possibly make a 2nd season if they can find a station willing to air it or if they can get a direct distribution model that works.

Well, I might have to give it a try, v 1.5 of Firefox is less stable that IE ever was. Crashes on me at least 4 or 5 times a day.

I had purple hair once. My favorite hair on a girl is the classic punk/goth black with red streaks. But I'll just classify that as brunette.

For the most part I prefer Brunettes, though when a redhead is hot, she's REALLY hot. Oddly enough, though blondes are at the bottom of the list, all but my current girlfriend have been blonde.

I think there was a Batman, sort of, at one point. lana had this creepy boyfriend, always dressed in black and grey and he was investigating Clark. I think his name was Bruce too. Turns out he was working for Lionel and he... disappeared. He was played by that blue-eyed mimbo in the first season of Lost. I always thought he was Smallville's version of Batman. I hope we get a cameo of Superman. I'd like to see Clark fight Superman <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wasn't Bruce. Turned out to be a dead guy who was brought back to life by Lionel's scientists but degenerated quickly and died again.

This winter has been a little more wintery. Averaging more around 5-8 degrees, with a couple weeks being around freezing. Snowed for like 2 days. Then turned to rain and was gone within a day.

Last winter it was 16 degrees here in Vancouver. Thats 62 for you americans. I doubt they would in Winnipeg though.
