I think most of the character development was done in Captain America, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk, and Thor. I think thats generally how its going to happen too. The individual movies you get the character development, the team up movies you get to see some great villains and some ass kicking. Here's hoping Disney uses some of the like 800 million this movie is going to make and buys the rights back to Fantastic Four. Reed Richards needs to be in the same room with Stark, Banner, and Pym at some point. And Hulk and Thing need to fight.

I recently watched a documentary called "How to start your own country" ( ). Basically anyone can declare something their own country. Getting recognition is the tricky part. Hell, in Seborga's case, its been a country for almost 1000 years, but I believe is only recognized by Vatican City.

Always liked the age of Sail. The combination of melee and firearms, and old sailing ships are just so beautiful. Plus the exploration and discovery of new worlds, it was just an exciting time. Thats my big love, but since getting into Alternate History I've found almost everything has its interesting parts. Was recently engaged in a debate on whether or not Islam would exist if Christianity never took hold. The various factors are quite interesting, as is Muslim history. Exploring the "what ifs" is a really good way to get engaged in history because you really need to know what happened and why in order to try to speculate on what would happen if something changed. Something I think History classes need to look into more.

On iron chef they always just crack it like an egg with the back of their cleavers. Looks so easy. Anyway, 2nd day of FanExpo, Michael Dorn and Marina Sirtis were incredibly entertaining. Marina is hilarious and still looks damn good. Was kinda sad seeing only like 40 people show up for Jeremy Bulloch though. Looking forward to next year.

Went to FanExpo Vancouver. Nicholas Brendan is actually incredibly funny, as is Adam West, though that one isn't as surprising.

In the beta I made a Mirilan Consular named Hu'ulk. You can probably guess which body type I used. So having a giant green shirtless jedi ripping around with that soft spoken contemplative voice just pulled me out of the game.

Cartoon/Anime/Comic settings you would like to see a rpg set in

Correct. Edit - They remade Thundercats? How dare they! I'm enjoying it. I tried watching the originals on Teletoon Retro, but Snarf and the preachyness ruin it for me. New one is a bit more Anime in feel, but the world is much better developed and the villains aren't bumbling jokes. -

So you haven't seen any cartoons since the 80s, but cartoons have no depth. Watch G.I. Joe Renegades, Young Justice, Justice League Unlimited, Ben 10, Thundercats(new one) etc. Modern Cartoons are made by people who grew up enjoying the ones of the 80s, but try to do it better. -
I pledged my 10 bucks based on the summary and the graphical concept video. Really like the style. Kinda hoping the characters/portraits aren't that cartoony though. Maybe something in the middle of that and Broken Sword style designs.

Cartoon/Anime/Comic settings you would like to see a rpg set in

Issue with GL is the fact that the rings would be somewhat limited. Yeah, would take some creative design work to come up with powers and such for it. New attacks and powers would be ideal DLC for a game like that. -
I'd have upped my pledge, but I just pledged for Banner Saga and Tortured Hearts this morning so I'm outta moneys.

Green Lantern or Thundercats. The new Thundercats setting is perfect. Magic and technology, and several races to choose from. GL would just be fun to build your own GL. Do a character creation system where you build your race using custom powers and drawbacks. Since your powerset and costume will largely be the same as a GL. -
Thats pretty much what I'd like. Maybe add some more tile improvements, add some more differences between the two planes, maybe add some quests or things to do with your actual wizard character, more diplomacy options. Overall though, just make it pretty to look at. I'd also throw my hat in for a Star Control sequel and parrot the requests for Alpha Centauri. I'd also Like to see an Evil Genius sequel (Dungeon Keeper clone with a James Bond supervillain theme). I actually preferred EG to Dungeon Keeper.

Pardon if this sounds retarded but ... what's the point in playing a video game if you don't like playing the combat portions? Wouldn't the video game become nothing more than like watching a movie? While combat is one of my least favorite aspects of RPGs, I still enjoy it. It gives me the satisfaction of seeing how powerful my character is that I've spent all this time leveling up, and allows me to take part in the "conflict" in the game. Bad guy loses because I beat the snot out of him. It's the sense of achievement portion of my game. I see the combat as a necessary evil, and works as part of the narrative. For example, in DA2, I liked the fight with the Arishok because it served a purpose and the fight itself was a story. DA:O I also liked fighting my way to the Archdemon, because it fit the story. I don't like fighting hordes of random enemies in dungeons just to fill time. One of my favorite RPG series, Quest For Glory, did it right. The combat was there, but it wasn't a focus. You could beat most major enemies through various means, combat being one, but also trickery, magic, and diplomacy. Almost all random encounter fights were entirely avoidable.

That was one of those "Wtf? Is she in the right business?" moments for me when I first read what she'd said. I generally either cheat or play on easy because I find combat to be the least enjoyable part of any of the RPGs I play and try to get through it as fast as possible to get on with the story.

Similar in Canada. 4 of the 5 major federal parties have marijuana legalisation as official policy, something like 70% of the population supports legalisation, but the ruling Conservatives (who may or may not have used electoral fraud to get elected) claim that they've never seen these polls and just say legalising crime doesn't help society. As a side note, decriminalisation is stupid. Sure it means users don't get thrown in jail for using, but it increases demand, which increases the profits made by organized crime which supplies the stuff, since production is illegal. Since its never going away, legalisation is the only option that makes sense. You move the battles over territory and profits to the court rooms instead of the streets. Prices go down, and the government can collect their share of taxes.

Adventures of Tintin. Loved it. That is all.

All Star Superman was pretty bad. Batman: Year One needed a better adaption, the story was there, but they adapted the format of the comic, which only works as a comic. Next one coming is Superman vs The Elite. Basically the precursor to Kingdom Come from what I saw. Bunch of anti-heroes come and start killing villains publicly, and the people support them leading supes to question his role. But then they go too far and Superman has to put them down. Looks interesting.
