  1. Played some Demon's Souls. Finall beat the Giant Armored Spider. 2-1 was much easier than 1-1.
  2. Looks like Lost Planet mixed with Demon's Souls. Could be good.
  3. Darksiders. You play as one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. FFX. Tidus isn't your average blitzball star. His role in the game gets clearer as you continue through the story.
  4. I would have to disagree, lobster is f'n disgusting.
  5. The combat isn't that great( or bad) to be honest. The first time I played it, I didn't know about affinity and other things for combat. Rapiers are good versus zombies, swords versus humans, spears versus dragons and so on. The more you use them against the respective enemy, the better tvey become. You can infuse weapons and shields with enchantments, you can also forge your own weapons. I had no clue about this the first time. You move around freely, but the combat is turn based when you initiate it. When you are in combat mode, you can target different body parts, left/right leg and arm, body and head(human enemies). Each time you attack, your RISK meter fills up. You don't want your RISK meter to fill up too much. Why? The damage you deal goes up, but your accuracy goes down, so you want to finish battles off quickly. I haven't played any other game with a similar combat system in my 20 years of gaming, so explaining it is not easy for me(sorry). You also get spells at your disposal. There are four different "schools". Damage dealing, buffs, debuffs and healing based. Some spells gets stronger as you use them. Some spells can target multiple body parts. Then we have break arts, wich can one hit kill enemies, but you consume hp, so you want to be careful about that. What else... When you defeat a boss, you will randomly gain one better stat (str, int, hp, mp and so on). Remember that combat is menu based, but you later gain Defensive abilities and Chain abilities. You have to time a button press for these. When someone attacks you a "!" will pop up, time it and you perform your defensive ability. When you attack, you can again see a "!" and that is your chance to do a chain attack. You can assign 3 defensive and 3 chain abilities at a time. You can access your spells, abilities, break arts and items by pressing L2, (lol, PSP?). Your limbs get hurt(can be healed with the heal spell) when fighting. Injured head, can't use magic or weaker magic. Injured feet mean slower walk/run speed. Outside of combat, you progress through "rooms". Clear one and move on to another one. Some rooms have puzzles for you to solve for gaining access to optional areas or sometimes to progress the game. Some rooms have traps in them, the healing traps being a gift from above. (I am betting that my explanation is confusing the hell out you, it confuses even me, but this is how the game works. ) Watching a few youtube vids is adviced. If you have played other games by the "Matsuno" team, you can expect a story with many twist and turns. I'm not very good on giving story details without spoiling stuff.
  6. I was expecting Tyrion to look uglier, I didn't think they would make him a handsome dwarf.
  7. Anyway, I'm still playing more Vagrant Story. The graphics doesn't hold up very well anymore, but I still enjoy the story. Reached the first workshop in the game, but had to save and quit there.
  8. Vagrant Story. Haven't played it in many years, so I felt it was time to give it another go. I wish Yasumi Matsuno gets a new project in the near future. I am a big fan of his games and I must admit that I'm surprised he hasn't done much since he left SquareEnix. Another Final Fantasy Tactics, please, or a another game with a political plots that has many twists.
  9. they rarely release demos, and when they do, they usually make you pay.
  10. Finished my New Vegas playthrough and sided with "everyone" for as long as I could. Was only villified by two minor factions until the end. Then I decided to go for an independent New Vegas and things got crazy. I turned on them all and was generally an *** to all factions.
  11. FO:NV, siding with Y.M. Trying to find every location in the game. Completed 58 quests so far. Tried to be liked by all factions but will probably kill all of them.
  12. LOL. The offical way to play online is down anyway. They may just be refering to that. This has been known for a long time already.
  13. A shame, but this gives me time to finish The Witcher 2.
  14. I'm getting the PC and PS3 versions! Oh wait, I think I'm doing it wrong...
  15. Question remains whether the license will be worth anything by then, we're lucky that Arcania decided to push its own name. To be honest though, PB have made the exact same game 4 times now, perhaps 5 with R2, and they should really move on. He does say he wants to try something new in that interview.
  16. I can't wait to see this. Loved the books, and the trailer I saw seemed good enough.
  17. R000fles!?
  18. Oh, Trolourn...
  19. How do you get that? The offer page clearly says Cerberus Network is included? They changed it. Yesterday it said no Cerberus Network. Good news, I guess.
  20. @Tigranes I think one of the devse confirmed the possibility to use 2 controllers. I can't remember in wich topic it was.
  21. I recommend that you stay away from the Xbox 360 version. I don't know if it is still up, but I remember there was a demo on XBL marketplace.
  22. You get free ME2, but no Cerberus Network.
  23. It's surprising funcroc didn't post this. I think that is funcroc.
  24. She actually sounds like a fun character to play as.
  25. Become very familiar with the wiki, it will spare you a lot of pain. I'm the game IDK if I can blue ghost a lower lv but PM if you get stuck, I will send you a I survived Demon's Souls T-shirt. I'm doing fairly well. Killed Phalanx on my second try, but the way to him was not a walk in the park. I'm playing as a royalist and that seems to have been a good choice. Soul Arrow is really helping me. I want to stay away from the wiki as much as I can, but I did take a look on general stuff. I might have a closer look if I get stuck. I must also admit that I did look at some mage builds, not because I want to copy any of them, just to have an idea of how points could be spent. I tried 1-2 a couple of times but got burned by the freaking dragon. When I finally made it to the last part of the bridge, archers and blue knights slaughtered me. So I'll skip it next time and go for 2-1, 3-1, 4-1 or 5-1 next time. What you feel right now it's very common you beat the first boos and think "maybe this won't be so hard" but you are wrong. Plus you picked royal, so that's a few extra lvs of difficulty you just added, but really go to the wiki specially for the cheapest ways to beat the bosses. Stay close to the builds because they will help you focus on a specialized character to tackle all what it's to come. More importantly the wiki will help you get every sword and souls in your first playthrough, which it's a must since NG+ is much harder without them. Also the wiki will tell you the specific weakness of the enemies which will help you specially in 2-1 where if you don't know that a piercing weapon is the best you are going to have a hard time. But since you are a royal you already have one Oh yeah and the wiki will tell you of a lot ways to farm souls; do them, you can't get ahead by just playing the levels. Once you have enough souls spend them as quickly as possible. Good luck on your journeys brave traveler. Stay away from the blue dragon. After dying about 15 times in 2-1 I did check out what items to get early on, and it seems I missed an interesting ring, Thief's Ring. I'm now at 5-1 farming souls. Will try to get the Crescent Falchion soon enough wich should help a magic user if I read correctly. I think I will listen to your advice and use the wiki, but only when I get stuck.
