  1. But Final Fight 3 had great combat!
  2. First look. If you do not feel like clicking the link. Summary:
  3. I've enjoyed every BioWare game I have played to date, but the Dragon Age II demo really felt bad. Combat wasn't fun, dialogue from the demo was bad and the design is a mix of good and bad. Not being hyped for a BioWare game is a first for me, wich is a shame. I don't mind if they want more action in a game, but I wish they had done that for another IP. All I wanted for Dragon Age II was to be more of the same with better crafted encounters and slightly better graphics. Unfortunately, enemy encounters seems to be not as good as the first, and graphics are passable, but not the huge leap BioWare themselves said they would be from Origins.
  4. I love that game! shame about the lv 60 dragon transformation, why does it take so long to lv up. I don't know anything about level 60 Dragon transformation, lol. I'm still level 18/19/17/16. I guess the slow levelling up is just to make the player spend even more time with the game. I think all games in the series are like this. Slow paced and long time to level your characters. Luckily, I managed to find a spot on the world map with random metal slime encounters and I got some great exp when I actually managed to kill them(bastards tend to flee half the time). I enjoy the game because of the overall mood(soundtrack and world design). It's just the slow pace and the inability to save anywhere that annoys me. Even save points in dungeons would have been good. But other than that, I'm liking it. Visitied the shadow realm for the first time to help the mourning king of Ascantha and I'm now at Pickham, Yangus' hometown. Going to fight outside of town and try to experiment with different alchemy recipes.
  5. Your wish has already been granted.
  6. Teaser: His eyes, wtf?
  7. Playing Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. I've been playing for 6 months on and off. Really good game.
  8. So far, so good!? I'm drooling over here.
  9. Ah, LittleBigPlanet 1 is a great game and you can get it for cheap now. Cool story levels and thousands of good community levels. I had an amazing time playing this in local co-op with three friends. Played it until LittleBigPlanet 2 came out earlier this year, wich is also amazing and I have already seen crazy community creations. Original Zelda Level 1-1 recreated.
  10. Uncharted 1 & 2 are good games and I recommend you give them a try. I say skip the Assassin's Creed games and go play Batman: Arkham Asylum. The sequel is coming out later this year. You can thank me when you have finished the game. You should also try inFAMOUS, it also has a sequel coming out this year. Why do I advice against the Assassin's Creed games, you ask? It seems they will release a game every year. Brotherhood released last year and a new game will be releasing this year. They are milking it, so to speak.
  11. Played the game twice and only experienced one bug. I reloaded during a mission and all enemies were gone. Others have had plenty of bugs. But most people I know in real life had the same luck as me. All of us played the Xbox 360 version. I've said this about 1 billion times already: The game was my 2010 GOTY.
  12. I shall withold judgement for a little while longer.
  13. Where's his... uh you know...
  14. I don't know if you're allowed to comment on this, but I'll ask anyway: How long did it take you to finish the game, and wich character did you use? Crap, can't answer either. Sorry. I know, I was just trying my luck.
  15. PAX is next week, right?
  16. I really enjoyed Risen, even if the final hours were the weakest part of the game. Basically, I hope to see more of the same with some improvements. Animations needs some work and I hope they try to develop some of the characters this time. I had no problem with the voice acting, but I never cared fpr any of the NPC, well maybe one or two. I also wish to see returning characters, but I could do without Patty. The Inquisitor was the most interesting NPC in Risen, but I doubt he'll make a comeback. I'm just happy to see a Risen 2, because I didn't know if Risen had good sales or not. This year is the best RPG year for me in many years. Dungeon Siege III The Witcher 2 Kingdoms of Amalur Risen 2 TES V: Skyrim Mass Effect 3 Dead State Bastion Torchlight 2 Diablo III? And there are probably other WRPGs I can't think of at the moment. And I'm interested in about 10-15 JRPGs. Crazy gaming year for me.
  17. The gaming industry... The gaming industry never changes.
  18. I blame Square Enix. I'm a fan of their games, but their unwillingness to show off their games to the public can at times be maddening. Search for Closed Mega Theatre on Google to see what I mean.
  19. It's not only BioWare. The word 'epic' is overused in the game industry as a whole. By companies and media. Everything is epic nowadays.
  20. I have not yet finished Two Worlds 2 (being distracted by Dead Money at the moment), but Risen really had one of the worst end bosses I've seen in a RPG. The worst I've ever seen was in the otherwise excellent FPS Black (on my PS2). I entered a room with lots of really difficult soldiers, threw all my grenades, fired blindly all around me in the ensuing chaos and with barely any life left won the fight. All of a sudden the end credits started rolling! Apparently one of those difficult soldiers was the guy I had been chasing the entire game, but there was no build up, no hint that he was there, no distinguishing features that made him stand out.. such an anti-climax. Unfortunately, Two Worlds II is even worse in that regard. I don't want to spoil anything, but since you agreed with me that the final boss in Risen was bad, I think you will most likely hate the final one in TWII.
  21. A few gameplay videos would be nice.
  22. I enjoyed Risen more than Two Worlds II, but they are both good games in my opinion. It's a shame the final boss encounters are very badly designed. Now that I think about it, so were the final battles in Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins. I liked them all, but the final boss encounters... eh. I'm moving on to Divinity 2: DKS, I'm expecting a good game, but I do not have high hopes for the final fight. Then we have non-rpgs with crappy final fights... Gears of War 2, Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed 2, GTA 4, the ending sequence in Splinter Cell: Conviction... and the list goes on. Am I the only one that feels this way? I must mention that I actually liked all of the games I listed.
  23. Unfortunately, you will most probably have to ask SEGA about that.
  24. The whole "first shipment sold out" statements you're seeing on news sites are overblown. Sure, stores "sold out" in the morning but they got new shipments the same day which they were selling to those who hadn't pre-ordered. Untrue, but it turns out my statement was also untrue. They sold 375.000 in two days, so yes reports were overblown.
