Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Changed my vocation to a Magic Knight, finally. It's what I wanted to be from the beginning. Have only fought a few big monsters but the fights were fun. My pawns are also mostly magic knights. I really hope there is a sequel with some improvements to this entertaining game.

Torment's Producer tries his hand at a RPG Kickstarter
Labadal replied to forgottenlor's topic in Computer and Console
He previously failed to reach the funding goal for his previous kickstarter game, THORVALLA. I pledged for that but I don't have any real interest in this. -
Both Grim Dawn and Blackguards have early access versions available on Steam. Will buy both when the complete versions are out.

Josh Sawyer GDC Next 10 Talk
Labadal replied to Sensuki's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Won't there be a public video of the presentation in the future? -
I backed Thorvalla when they launched that kickstarter, but this does not interest me.

Mostly Corona and Heineken beer. Also some Glenlivet whiskey. I'm not a whiskey fan, but I got to admit, it wasn't bad.

You should see the Infernal Affairs trilogy that The Departed was based on. Departed was a good film but it was a hatchet job compared the source material which were so well made and are some of the best movies I have ever seen. Part 1 will be basically the same, still worth watching for context but parts 2 and 3 were more or less untouched and part 2 especially is my favourite film of all time. I've watched them and they are indeed great.

Been drinking more these past five days than I have in the past five years (almost). These past five days have been both good and bad. I've slept later than 2 a.m and been drinking alcohol with friends. I've also not eaten much at home so a lot of money has been spent on restaurants with good food and even more alcohol. My body is tired but all the symptoms of stress that I have been experiencing the past few months are non-existent. Life goes back to normal tomorrow.

Someone tried to access my steam account so I had to change my password for the first time in five years. Took a trip to the city and had lunch with the family for a change. Had a really tasty pizza. It's the only thing I have eaten today. Need to change my eating habits, but it'll never happen. Also ordered a few games and a memory card for a PlayStation Vita.

Had lunch with some friends. The place was full but we got a table that was supposedly reserved in a more isolated area of the restauran. Felt good to not be in the middle of the rush. We had Thai buffet and I ate like a beast, fried chicken rolls filled with vegetables. Homemade meatballs in some sauce, chicken stew, beef and pork. Then I bought myself new wiireless headphones. The range is 15 meters, so I can have them on everywhere in the house. I really needed to have this time off work. Four more days to go!

I'm probably the last one that should give anyone else advice on FPS games, but Far Cry 3 seemed like a good open world FPS. I quit because I suck at FPS games in general.

Fair enough. I remember all games I have backed, but I have enough games to play so it doesn't really bother me. Example: Shadowrun Returns: Very excited about the announcement. Followed the campaign and hoped it would do great. Read updates when they came but excitement was not at the same level. Day of release I was once again excited for the game. Starting the game, very excited to play.

Hit & Miss - Finalized/Updated?
Labadal replied to Pray's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Okay, that's all I needed to hear. <---------- -
This is somewhat true, but I've waited several years for many different games funded by publishers. Kickstarter isn't very different for me personally. All my backed projects have been delayed, but mostly for the better. All of them got a lot more funds than they were expecting and they could do more with the game.

Hit & Miss - Finalized/Updated?
Labadal replied to Pray's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Do spells work in a fairly similar way? Or is that calculated in an entirely different way? I want to build a character that has the opportunity to avoid as much magic as possible and just run in and smash enemy wizards, etc. -
There are some high res texture packs to download. Well worth the wait, IMO.

Not much of interest for me this time. I've played most of the games I have any real interest in on that list. I might pick up Of Orcs & Men with my Steam Cards money.

I've played 1, 2 and accidentally deleted my save file for 3 a couple of days ago. Own Brotherhood but not played. Have no intention on getting Revelations and I don't think I'll play 4 unless it's a PS+ freebie.

That's a ladder.
