  1. You try standing watch for hours on end in freezing cold while wearing a bunch of cold heavy metal on you.
  2. The beginning is slow as hell and pretty confusing as well. It'll all pay off later, though... [not an actual spoiler]
  3. Obviously book publishers earn their keep, IIRC the problem with them was that every country had different and incompatible royalties/publishing system which made ebooks and public domain books a nightmare. Book publishers are not the same as game/music publishers.

    Obviously.
  5. There were some rumors about that being one of Gabe's three big surprises.

Why don't you buy it and spread the love yourself? I have it already, plus I don't have access to a gaming-capable PC for the next 3 months. GAF is doing collective buying if anyone's interested... How do its OS requirements affect its awesomeness?

There are still people without the Orange Box? It was the best value $50 gaming product when it was released and the value has just gone up over the years. Oh, and there's a -75% on Just Cause 2 8-pack. Spread the awesomeness!
  8. Poor substitute for playing as you're shown what's wanted to be shown. What about independent gameplay videos/reviews?
  9. Purkake replied to Calax's topic in Computer and Console
World of Goo is at $2.50...
  10. Demos ? uh ok. Rentals for PC games is a new one to me, and as for preview videos...you like the taste of manure ? However one useful thing to have is consumerist friends, you can rely on them to buy mindlessly and then glean any input from them. Most useful thing I've come across so far. What's wrong with video previews?
  11. Obviously you're just not hard core enough for AP.

    Haters gonna hate...

It's like Christmas came early this year! Also, nice way to spread the Steam love with the 10-packs instead of the dreaded Steamworks.

I hope you'll like Gish, because it's awesome.
  15. I'd feel ashamed if I slept in a bed of money...
  16. But think of the nostalgia value if they made the game 10 years from now. Plus the rights would probably be dirt cheap as well...
  17. Penny Arcade Adventures 1/2 is pretty good. As is Barkley, Shut Up & Jam: Gaiden which is free. Oh, and Dark Messiah is awesome, if a bit lite on the RPG-ness. And maybe King's Bounty?
  18. You seem to like LOST a whole bunch.[iNT] May I direct you to the LOST thread?
  19. You're welcome. Should you require some more, I'm just a PM away.
  20. I hear they surgically remove shame as a part of the recruiting process at Obsidian...
  21. Conjecture much? Lowering any game's price by 75% after it has already been cut in half less than six months after release is going to increase sales.
  22. LOST is dead and buried, in more ways than one.
  23. Purkake replied to Calax's topic in Computer and Console
Shank is on PC? What is this madness?
