  1. There's also Project Gutenberg

This is a great marketing opportunity, can't wait for Mcdonald's KFC Party.
  3. By the way, Goodreads is a good place for keeping track of your books. We could even make an Obsidian group if we get enough people...

If that was directed at me, it was (obviously) a joke playing on stereotypes directed at the claim that more than two parties would be... confusing. My joke was more about loosing track of which food/drink corresponded to which political view...
  5. Keep dreaming.
  6. Absence of evidence is not a very convincing argument.
  7. How many working titles have numbers instead of letters?

The system will become too complicated for the general public and people will instead vote for their favorite drink/food. The downfall of the Tea Party.
  9. 5ive make me think of five. Thi4f makes me think of Thiaf, not Thief 4.
  10. Thi4f in name only!
  11. Even if this won't be Deus Ex reborn and bring salvation to your damned souls, it'll probably still be a fun game. Maybe I'm immune to nostalgia?
  12. Speaking of AP, there was a guy who was actively advocating pirating it and even he remained unbanned.
  13. Well, then you have obviously spat on the memory of Deus Ex 1 and everything it represents. You might just as well go and buy a Kinect right now.
  14. Why? The Obsidianites don't really strike me as the "Day one!11!!" crowd...
  15. The SNES game wasn't good enough for you?
  16. Hey, feel ready to share a picture of your gigantic games library now? No? So on "gaf", if you're a pirate and is honest about it, you get banned, but if you're a pirate and a liar, like you, you're home free? That gaf place sounds lovely. At least a slightly better policy than what we have here.
  17. Ooh, we might finally get a real old vs young battle royale going. Who would have thought that would be the dividing line?
  18. Never been on GAF, why ? They have a strict policy of admit to piracy - get banned. It's worked pretty well so far.
  19. Wow, if this was GAF, the board would be an empty wasteland by now
  20. Wow, man, bubble burst!
  21. Why let this great thread wither and die? I would recommend the Laundry Series by Charles Stross starting with Atrocity Archives. It is a British Lovecraftian spy thriller with pulpy humor, where underpaid civil servants fight off eldritch abominations with PDAs when not filling out office forms in triplicate or having paperclip audits. It manages to combine the humor and seriousness surprisingly well.

It has a few bugs more than CoD4, but it's generally more polished than most Eastern-European games. The story is about as nonsensical as CoD as well, unless you've read the book(s). From an uneducated point of view, imagine the STALKER team getting stopped half way through and told to make it more like CoD4. That's what it reminded me of.

It's short-ish and highly scripted, think and Eastern-European CoD4 minus the multiplayer. Oh and it's really really pretty and very atmospheric.
