  1. Good thing you weren't making the exhibit then. None of those games show off the medium particularly well and Fallout is already on the list.
  2. There is only one answer to that question anyway.
  3. Fixed Read the rules, bub

  6. muahaha that is a glorious moment in the books That will certainly be more fuel for the animal activists, if they do it like in the books. They better, it just wouldn't be the same without .
  7. Well, it was not *known* to me.
  8. Looks like GOG is doing some interesting promotions as well: (not that I care about Witcher II at all) (via Reddit)
  9. Steam and competitors. ...which is probably the reason for the current situation.
  10. Wow, Steam is really pulling out all the stops, I wouldn't want to be competing against them these days...
  11. Wow, the Eyrie was awesome, way cooler than the Red Keep and Lysa was spot on. The mountain tribes fight scene was pretty ugh...

  15. 720p on a 1080p screen was the only way I could do it.
  16. It's more art in video games, not video games as art. Which is why ME2 (have you seen some of the concept art for that?!) is on the list, and torment with it's palette of 64 shades of gray isn't. Hey, Diablo 2 is on the list
  17. Believability, most other mediums have shining examples of how a piece of work can influence a whole movements. Those are sort of games that we should be focusing on, the unsung hero who first used "X" feature but nobody ever played or cared to find. I don't want a popular games made by fanboys on the Smithsonian, I want games with actual value to the genre despite popularity. What makes you think other art hasn't been chosen for similar reasons? There were fanboys 16th century as well.
  18. Doom II is obviously superior, I don't see the problem here. Just having the double shotgun makes it better. plus it was in the good old days when sequels were just the previous game with refinements.
  19. That's actually surprising, yes. And where's Tetris? And Pokemon?
  20. Seems like a pretty good cross section to me. What do you think is missing?
  21. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night There were some others about Portal and whatnot, but they're not really all that cool.
  22. Didn't Dyack vow to finish the Too Human trilogy just a week ago? Guy is a riot.
  23. Reading the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher, pretty good fantasy noir stuff.
  24. You've been asking for this for a long time, finally science and news have cooperated and I'm happy to bring to you a thread combining the two Obsidianite passions: videogames as art and lists. source The list of games: 1943: The Battle of MidwayAdvanced Dungeons and Dragons After Burner Attack of the Mutant Camels Bioshock Boom Blox Br
  25. Was this really thread-worthy? This is like GAF having 50-page threads about the most obscure lists.
