  1. Do you have the latest patch? That's pretty much my last idea. If that's your only computer you'll either have to play it with all the weird bugs or well not play it. MotB is the only one worth the effort imo...
  2. I blame WoW, it should have been World of Cyberpunk instead...
  3. Yeah, what he said. I didn't even think of the flavor stuff. They pretty much took out a lot of the (player) innovation for the sake of player balance and thus making it a lot more like a video game. Want to collapse the ceiling on the dragon? Sure, but It'll do the same damage as if you had cast a lighting bolt at it. Also, it's interesting to look at how Shadowrun 4e managed to streamline things without screwing everything up.
  4. The graphics card is on the low end... The "horizon issue" COULD be graphical artifacts from your GPU overheating, try rising your laptop above the table or giving the vents more space.
  5. Spellcasters gain infinite/once per encounter/once per day uses for their spells depending on the spell. Damage is streamlined to level so a level 5 fighter does about the same damage in a round as a level 5 wizard or a level 5 rogue. Monsters have a lot oh hitpoints, but pretty low damage. Saving throws are just straight D20 rolls with 11+ succeeding and 1-10 failing(some abilities change that, but no more DCs for saving throws). Also all non-damage/status effect spells are changed to "rituals" which take more time to cast and are not really combat-friendly. So it's basically streamlined so that all the classes are almost perfectly balanced and feel pretty much the same.
  6. Maybe game is trying to tell you something... I never had any real problems with it, it was just clunky and lame at times. EDIT: Post your system specs, maybe that will help...
  7. A Star Trek RPG similar to Mass Effect could easily be made. There's enough races that could be used as antagonists threatening the known galaxy -- the Borg, Tholian Assembly, Breen but most interesting would be Species 8472. The player character could be some 'veteran' or 'newbie' Starfleet officer sent off in a ship travelling around several planets looking for allies & clues on how to fight the 'evil'. Just PLEASE not another gundam Picard fanservice fest. Hey! Picard is awesome. Keep that up and it's phasers at dawn.
  8. I'm pretty sure there was talk about that some time ago. At least Valve is paying attention to them.
  9. The said 2009, so that's the best answer we got ATM.
  10. There is no way they will take it into the far future, because that would eliminate most of the characters.(I can see Alyx getting boxed with Gordon) I think there will be a new threat/something at the end of EP3 and Gordon(and Alyx) will get snagged by G-Man. HL3 will begin with you having to escape whatever the G-Man's dimension is and get back to Earth to find that something horrible has happened(again).
  11. I seriously doubt that they would finish the story off at EP3, I can see them putting Freeman back into cold storage, but hopefully with more of a twist than G-Man popping up and just snagging you. Whatever happens after that can happen only a couple of years later with a new problem/threat that G-Man needs you to deal with. They can explore the new society after getting free of the Combine.
  12. That about settles it. Go short sentences.
  13. Well, we know that at least a part of it will take place in Arctic/Antarctic, there will be a bunch of Advisors and it will probably tie in with Portal because the SS Borealis had Aperture Science logo on it. It will probably tie off all the loose ends and have more of an ending with a nice set up for HL3. Hopefully we get some answers on G-Man as well.
  14. It's only good when it's good.
  15. That part is arguable...
  16. You, sir, are probably the worst person to give a Wii ever. Can't you just let your sister play with it? You can also hack it and do all the sweet homebrew stuff.
  17. Speaking of which, how come the super advanced space aliens didn't cure all diseases?
  18. But he always had a dream to become the best pilot ever, and did he ever!
  19. I always hated his sad sob-story ass as well.
  20. Some clarification from the latest ListenUP podcast: (not really any new spoilers) Maybe I got it all wrong, but that's what I got from it.
  21. You DID know that turning V-Sync off makes it pretty ok, right? (The game was still a borefest, though...) Turning off V-Sync did indeed solve the problem with the mouse, but at least on my system it turned on the horrible, horrible screen tearing. Funny that, I always turn it off and never get any tearing. What causes it anyway?
  22. You DID know that turning V-Sync off makes it pretty ok, right? (The game was still a borefest, though...)
  23. I watched it a little when it was on TV here, but I mostly watched Macgyver, Quantum Leap, Knight Rider and cool stuff like that. For some reason it always came late at night...
  24. Original IPs? In a RPG video game? The only developers who do that are BioWare, and people constantly complain about how unoriginal they are. Probably, I didn't make it, though.
