  1. You could always get Wii Fit and impress your cousin/girlfriend/children... Boom Blocks was supposed to be fun if you have someone to play with.
  2. If you haven't played World of Goo yet, go get it on the Wiiware, it's like the only thing worth getting there...
  3. Only if they started arguing over the exact measurements of a ships nacelles and the fact Obsidian got it wrong by .2cm. Isn't that all they do? Other than Kirk vs. Picard. While I wasn't impressed with the last episode, it don't cancel out 4 seasons of Sci-Fi goodness. Considering that , for me it did.
  4. Yup, Call of Cthulhu RPG: where the dead are the lucky ones and a TPK is the best ending you can hope. The whole 1920s era is criminally underused...
  5. That could be awesome if the writers were familiar with the setting and used the sanity system really well. There would need to be a balance between being curious about stuff and losing sanity. Combat should probably be deadly and a last resort.
  6. dude, we are already here
  7. Think of the influx of Star Trek fanboys, it would be horrible. BSG fell on its face with the finale, it is dead to me.
  8. It should probably be about exploration and not about killing Klingons/Borg. It could be pretty fun if it had a bunch of random "mishaps" happen during travel ranging from hot alien aboard to tribble infestation to warpcore going nuclear.
  9. Fail.
  10. Well, I want a Shadowrun RPG with a good story. Star Trek could work, but everyone seems to screw up Star Trek games most of the time.
  11. Zelda is hardly a RPG.
  12. A healthy dose of Shadow of the Colossus along with a soul should do it, you soulless automaton! Souls are overrated. Don't knock it before you try it...
  13. The Longest Journey was awesome, don't diss the R-man!
  14. A healthy dose of Shadow of the Colossus along with a soul should do it, you soulless automaton!
  15. To be fair they released MOW because they had already spent money on it and it had been ready for over a year, not releasing it would have cost them way more.
  16. Probably right before the restoration mod for kotor 2. Hey! Team-Gizka is already on release candidate 1, AoD's release is apparently TBD...
  17. Laugh does a body good. Is the game ever actually coming out?
  18. I think most people noticed... No idea how to change the scroll. I didn't like the uniform dungeons and towns with 2 enterable houses, I can live with the camera.
  19. EVE is more of a strategy game TBH. There are still a few space shooters like Dark Horizon, but they kinda suck.
  20. It's not so much the graphics, this thing could use an art style. Stock models is not an art style...
  21. Apparently good old swine flu is making a comeback. WHO just declared the first pandemic in 41 years. Too bad it's not really exciting anymore...
  22. The next Blizzard MMO is probably going to shake things up nicely. It's just sad that everyone else keeps falling on their face over and over again. We have reached a point where everyone is tired of even talking about WoW.
  23. Maybe they are? Mkreku had a great post a while back about his experience beta testing for Blizzard where he stated that their Beta builds were like other companies Gold + 2 patches. Maybe they are better, with a much tighter QA department and a bottomless pit full of zots. Maybe they just care more about their products. Have you every purchased a bug riddled Blizzard game like the crap other companies pump out and then shrug their shoulders over? Of course their QA is superb, but you'd think that after five years companies would notice that to compete they will need the same level of testing and QA as Blizzard. EA has a lot more money/resources than Blizzard, they could do it, but for some reason they haven't yet. The money-making potential is through the roof and it would be nice if someone shook the MMO space a little.
  24. But Blizzard aren't that special, why hasn't anyone managed to pull it off? Is it too late now anyway?
  25. This is really my whole point here. Some folks were questioning why a game would bother going up against WoW. My point is that a few hundred thousand subscribers is a viable business model. Everquest 2, FFXI, LotR Online, Eve, City of Heroes, and a few others are all managing to pull in subscribers consistently and are clearly profitable. There is no evidence that the market is at its ceiling. Age of Conan shows that if you have a good product, you can pull it tremendous numbers, BUT you need to have a GOOD product. AoC had some serious flaws. Sure, but it's ridiculous that no one has managed to make a MMO that is as good as WoW and steadily gaining users. A lot of people are probably rooted in WoW, but Blizzard are not doing dark magic here, they just made a good game. It's not impossible to make a better one or at least a competitive one, but for some reason everyone seems to fall short. Also, a market where one product has ~75% of the userbase with the runner-up being a free game is not all that it could be. WoW is a giant with the rest of the MMOs fighting for scraps.
