At least no one can buy Valve(not publicly owned) and as bad as Activision is, it's a giant money anchor keeping anyone from buying Blizzard. It would be interesting to see the bigger publishers fall apart and all the small developers pour out, but that's not going to happen any time soon

There is one already and it's official. I don't really care much for the new id Software, they haven't really made anything good lately and Doom 3 was a pile of monster closets. The sad part will be classic franchises getting dragged out from their well deserved resting places only to be molested and turned into something unnatural like a person who stares straight into your soul while you feed them the conversation pie. I doubt that this will affect Rage too much, if anything it will get them more funding. EDIT: Props to them for all their Linux stuff, I'm sure Beth will kill that ASAP. In the announcement it was made pretty clear that id will continue to operate independently, so I doubt Mac and Linux users will have anything to fear. From a business stand point it does sound like a big money sink. Guess we'll see. Maybe Obsidian will get to use some of their awesome tech for future Beth-Obs projects?

Really? Why is that? Burned out from waiting? Unknown, but I suspect that's it. In general, cRPGs and computer gaming is less appealing to me right now than they were a year ago. I plan to pick up the game when it comes out, and believe I'll enjoy it, but can't summon the excitement or interest I felt previously. Maybe you're getting old? Do you have a strange need to own a hundred cats and knit little hats for every one of them?

My point was that trying to make them look better doesn't really work, especially with faux-3d sprites(you would have to redraw all the animations). Old games are awesome! I see what you are saying, but I do think old games can be improved graphically and enjoyed more. FOr example the 1.13 mod that lets you play Jag 2 in 1024*768 instead of 640*480. It defintely makes the game look better. DOesn't mean I would stop playing it if I had to go back to 640*480, but it is a graphical improvement that I relish. Adding new resolutions is always nice. All PC games should be scalable(damn 800x600 Diablo II) by default...

He made Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me and Pushing Daisies. He's THE Boss. He was pretty much the only ray of light that Heroes had, but at some point you'll just have to cut your losses.

Bryan Fuller leaves Heroes again! CONFIRMED Guess he finally saw the suck and bailed out. Can't say I blame him. Maybe he'll make something awesome like Pushing Daisies or Wonderfalls next.

How about something a bit more original? You can't expect that from Bethesda, but maybe Obsidian could at least try? Also, vault > tribal.

I'll take a wild guess and say it will involve a vault and you having to leave it. Just a shot in the dark, though.

I forget... aren't there Stones of Alarm in MOTB? No, they were in SoZ.

Warlocks are awesome. Play for a while and you'll see why resting might be an issue. No idea about the Cleric/Warlock, doesn't really scream like that great of a multiclass, also who needs 2 clerics?

Anything that doesn't require resting will save you A LOT of frustration. Also the evil ending is really awesome and satisfying, so don't go all goody-two-shoes because that's what you always do. I was a straight up Warlock and it worked pretty well.

Hmm, does that work by default with any game, oder does the game have to support the Motion plus? Nope, the game needs to support it. The new Tiger Woods game is the only one that supports it and is also out. More should be coming during the summer.
