I have always wondered how finding loot in BG2 or Diablo II was always so exiting, but so boring in other games like ME. What's the deal with that, lame combat and the upgrades not being worth it?

Have you seen the Mask of the Betrayer ending? Especially the evil evil version? It's pretty awesome.

Just wait until you get to the repetitive "minigames", inventory full of useless crap and the longest elevator rides in the history of elevators. (Unless you already got to them...)

The only annoying part in Max Payne 1 was the dream sequences. The second one does most of the stuff better, but the first one isn't bad either.

Switching processors is fun, who doesn't like to much around with thermal paste? I find the best strategy is to go in with low/no expectations so that if it's good it'll surprise you and if not, no disappointment. @Alanschu: What's the spell selection like? Are there spell levels like in BG/NWN? How many spells per level?

Dreamfall was strange in that sometimes there was a really tough puzzle or challenge followed by nothing very interesting, and at other times there would be this big reveal after doing something relatively simple. They also REALLY like their mobile phones, maybe Tornquist got his first phone when he was making the game or something. I wouldn't be surprised if I had to use some "app" to defeat the final boss...

Does your Farcry game usually end up with you hiding in the bushes and killing everyone as they come to investigate who is killing everyone? That happened to me all the time. It's all fun and games until the evil mutants show up and want to melee you

Playing Dreamfall. Whoever thought that the "interaction beam" was a good idea was wrong and what's up with all the minigames? Story seems pretty interesting, though...

I don't know this game, but that sanity meter looks awesome. I remember trying to watch a let's play on youtube, but even without playing it, the fixed camera turned me off.

Sound awfully like grinding. I usually don't play anything more than once, especially after just finishing it. The "extended" ending should be the default one, the grade stuff is BS. To get a good grade you have to keep looking at your feet to retain sanity, not use morphine...

No, I think that's the standard ending, that's what I got and I had the lowest grade possible. The special one I think you need an A to get, and it may be about Jack's father or something, best to search youtube, and post it here if you can, I want to see it too. Oh, I thought the latest patch made you always see the extended ending. Go check out the full one on youtube for sure, otherwise the story is pretty nonsensical.

I think that's the "extended" ending, the normal ending just has the , you can still check youtube just in case. The funky race was everyone's favorite trumpet-shaped Yithians, who send their consciousnesses through time to possess other races and do their stuff.

Long ago, I learned to separate the man from his works. Orson Scott Card is a homophobic crazy person, but I can still enjoy his books. As long as the crazy doesn't bleed over into the books, I'll enjoy them. Same with Michael(with different context of course). Whatever you think about the dude, he still made some awesome music.

Great that you got past it. The game was pretty much hit and miss with me, but at least they did the Lovecraft thing well. Don't forget to watch the extended ending if you don't get it normally! EDIT: Have you got the gun to the head thing yet? You get it when you go too insane and have a gun out.

On of the hosts on Rebel FM gameclub had the same problem. I think he ended up randomly shooting until he finally did it, if you buckle up in time you can try it as long as it takes(I think). Also you DO know that you are supposed to shoot at glowy dots and not real people, right? It's also pretty silly to give up on a nice game just like that. Pretty much everybody said that it had bugs up the ass in the CoC thread. EDIT: Here's a of someone doing it on youtube.
