  1. NeoGAF regularly has multi-hundred page threads and their threads have 50 posts per page. I don't know why they close ever thread at 50 pages on these boards and spoil all the fun.
  2. This always cracks me up
  3. Well, yeah. Until all we got was cheap DVD cases. A game collection is like a well-sorted movie collection on the shelf, or a library of books. Except that they are, you know, video games. These days maybe 1 game out of 100 has an actual flickable manual.
  4. What about awesome download only indie games? Do you just skip them?
  5. I sleep with those boxes and enjoy their cold cardboard touch on my skin. I does get pretty dark and lonely up there in Finland.
  6. The Curse of Monkey Island is the best of the series. Skip NWN2 and play Mask of the Betrayer, the combat continues to suck, though.
  7. So all you anti-Steam people are happy with dozens of boxes cluttering up your room?
  8. Ever since they switched to webkit from Internet Explorer around six month ago, it's been really smooth.
  9. It's just a mechanic, why is picking an option from a list better for DA than picking one from a ring?
  10. I love the dialog wheel and how nicely it works with a mouse, much better than Alpha Protocol's janky thing.
  11. So you can't sell them back once they're used. You pretty much can't sell any PC games used these days. The Steam only games are sold in retail boxes to make you realize that you should have bought it on Steam in the first place, kind of an encouragement.
  12. When Beth finally gets Id Tech 5 Obsidian needs to swindle a bunch of Id programmers to help them implement the new engine, tie them up in the basement and have them go over every game they do.
  13. I'll believe it when I see it and hear it from multiple independent sources.
  14. I thought you were against sharing private information on the internet?
  15. Some people are more insane than others.
  16. Only if I can summon the Maker.
  17. Like it actually playing into the overarching story or theme. I don't have anything against putting the minigames in, I was mostly complaining about Wrath's eagerness to play a frickin' card game for hours on end.
  18. The difference is you either play for nothing or for real money, neither of which I'm interested in doing. In a game, you play for in-game money, which suddenly makes that activity meaningful. Ever play One-hit in Shenmue or Pazaak in Kotor? I don't remember money ever being a problem in FO3 and pazaak straight out sucked, kind of like that stupid card game from Final Fantasy VIII. This being Vegas and all I'd expect the gambling angle to go a bit deeper than minigames.
  19. Because finding a flash blackjack game in impossible these days. Useless gimmicks...
  20. Aww, I liked Dragon Age's combat system.
  21. It's just a few clicks to confirm it with Google, but I just consider it bad form to post some news without a link to the source, out of respect for both the source and the people who will read it.
  22. Ooh, nice comeback. Let's see you fight this to the bitter end.
  23. Alpha Protocol, Planescape: Torment, Deus Ex all had fixed characters as well.
