  1. The concept art looks like the animated intro thing. The game will probably use the same art style as the first one, seeing as they don't really have the time to overhaul it.
  2. And Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden did it awesomely for JRPGs, but there is still lots of room for more. I'm getting a bit tired of every game taking itself way too seriously or just being slapstick humor for humors sake.
  3. Well, it's not official, but a lot of people are pushing for it, mostly because Hale is so much better than Meer. Hey, they managed to make The Exile female, everything is possible.
  4. Female Shep is canon. Why did it fit in Mass Effect, but not in Dragon Age? They were both going for a cinematic thing.
  5. I agree on Valve and Blizzard, they are the only ones that have been consistently releasing quality polished games.
  6. With another incredibly bad voice actor as in Mass Effect and Alpha Protocol? I can't see this going well. Meh. The obsession of BioWare with full voice acting.. it's not like people didn't buy Fallout 3 or Oblivion because the protagonist wasn't voiced. You take that back! Jennifer Hale was awesome. I'm wholeheartedly for voiced protagonists, makes the game feel more like coherent experience instead of you making queries and getting responses from a dialog vending machine. EDIT: we actually had a thread about that in the Developer's Corner a while back.
  7. Did Obsidian actually do anything about the animations/faces in New Vegas? They did a pretty good job with that In AP.
  8. I'm not really seeing the market for an Obsidian designed Chrono Trigger. What I'd like to see is for Obsidian to iron out their development process and create some intelligent deconstruction/satire type of games like Torment once was, there seems to be a distinct lack of those. Then maybe they can make a JRPG and say something interesting with it.
  9. Why not leave Japanese properties to Japanese developers and focus on new interesting IPs instead? Much less fanboy rage this way...
  10. Bloodlines had jiggle physics?
  11. Kotick's crazy ramblings brought to you by Activision inc. Actually, speaking of OnLive, they have a limited beta thing going and I've heard from a few people that it is actually playable without any more noticeable lag than normal online gaming. The bigger problem is really the fact that you actually have to buy all the games ala Steam before you can play them via OnLive in addition to a subscription fee. Not that it's coming to Australia anytime soon, but looks like the thing actually works.
  12. So you would like a more Japanese take on the series?
  13. Facebook Defense Force assemble! It just a tool and has its uses.
  14. Did we really need another thread for this?
  15. The talking heads thing in FO1/2 was a necessity of the time, I don't think it would fly these days. Just adding decent facial animation with some body movement thrown in should be good enough.
  16. "No, John. You are the darkspawns!"
  17. True enough. I think TVtropes actually had a section for decent fanfic...
  18. Nightshape, Nightshade it's all the same to me.
  19. Bu..but internet is serious business, right? Also, weren't you the JRPG guy?
  20. That's what you get when everyone and their dog can publish everything that they write and actually get someone to read it.
