BTW you're not fooling anyone with your wild assumptions regarding my "fantasies" - everyone here knows you'd be the first to advocate bombing China back to the stone age if it were feasible, the same way you justify any military "intervention". It’s a bitter pill to swallow but sometimes military intervention is the only thing certain governments understand. The difference nowadays is that no Western country will make a serious militarily commitment to a conflict unless the UN security council endorses it. This is a structural problem IMO and as I've mentioned Syria is a good example of the impotence of the UN or rather when the UN security council is divided on how to act

Don't be silly there is absolutely NO chance of a Third World War. I can't believe you actually think this is even a remote outcome? If the Russians do supply S300s they'll be crewed or supervised by Russians. If the west wants to set up a no fly zone (without UN mandate, given Russia and China will both likely veto) those S300s will have to go as they're able to hit targets at very high altitudes and very great distances, and that means the likelihood of dead Russians. As Rostere says, it's the economy that's the weakness. The US (and other western countries) are heavily indebted and only going more into debt, at some point putting the military on the credit card has to stop and at that point it may well become impractical to have quite the global projection that the US has been used to since the 50s. They may be going for more cost effective measures, but they're untested. Come on Zora I'm vociferously pro-western but lets not fool ourselves. There is no way the West is going to declare war on Russia or China over Syria and vice versa. And we all know about the prodigious debts of Western countries, but these are debts that countries like China also need and support as they are export driven and if hypothetically the USA economy should collapse then China and the world economy will suffer immeasurable harm. So that's not going to happen Sorry boys but you need to find other things to post around doom and gloom for the Western world. Maybe someone can find evidence that a comet is going to hit Europe or the USA. Now that would be worrying?

But Drowsy aren't you use to being bitterly disappointed with the latest release of games? I would think this is just the norm for how you feel..in fact if you were happy with a game you may get a little depressed?

You know a serious point needs to be made when Gorthfucius arises from his slumber and speaks !!! History has proven that its only a foolish civilisation that ignores his cryptic words of advice.... -
Well they're old, they're on twice as many drugs as guys half their age. I doubt the members of KISS still take drugs, I'll be very surprised?

Wow, I thought the BSN was bad. Welcome to the club. Come now lickety don't take it personally. Its just someone's opinion. I think you are correct about CD Projekt Red and they have been able to create a gaming franchise around what the fans want and not just what would be good sales. They also are not as beholden to a large publishers as Bioware, these are irrefutable facts. But Zora and others are entitled to there opinion. Its the job of us to dispute what they are saying. That's why we have debates -
Pork or Beef? If Beef, make sure you give them at least 10 hours to smoke, preferably using pecan wood. If Pork, you should have bought Beef Ribs. Beef of course. Pork is too fatty. They are pretty good sized too. I put them in about two hours ago. It's almost time to add the next tray of wood chips. The water I have to refill every 2-3 hours as well. They are smoking nicely, can't smell them yet though. I'm using apple wood chips. I washed the jerky strips in low sodium Teriyaki and put them in the top rack about 15 minutes ago. I bought some fresh jalapenos chop up and make cornbread with and I'll steam carrots to top it all off. Too bad I'm the only one here to appreciate this! OMG that sounds amazing Quick question why would you put jerky with your barbeque? Is this uncooked jerky? In South Africa we don't get jerky but we get something similar called Biltong. But you never put that in the barbeque as its eaten on its own.

We will blame Serbia if the world enters another Cold War, which is not unreasonable as they have already been the catalyst for one World War?

No I don't see this as that bad, you need to also consider another result with the West openly aiding the rebels that this becomes a classic proxy war and Iran has to pour even more money and resources into assisting Assad. This weakens Iran which is not necessarily a bad thing if you think of other tensions in the area? 1. You are assuming both Russia and China will be fine with Western troops in Syria. 2. Seeing dead Western soldiers, for the sake of the region(Israel) is not something I want to see. 3. There is a good chance that if the rebels win the war, that in 10-20 years later we will be invading Syria due to a massive terrorist presence. A presence trained by the west. What we are seeing here is not a war for democracy, but a war of Sunni vs Shiite. It's not a matter of if, but when. Hopefully I'm long dead when it comes. As for it coming from this conflict, doubtful. But why chance it. The West won't be sending ground troops, this is more about direct military aid around arms and equipment and maybe military advisor's. So you won't ever see dead western soldiers in Damascus

It makes sense but doesn't help speed up an end to the war and the horrific suffering of the civilians.

Yeah those games can be terrifying. I turn all the lights off and use my headset to create the perfect spooky atmosphere

The general simplification when it came to weapons/moves/combat score and boss fights. The latter got so bad with the pull chains that any form of regular movement was undesirable. Just so I understand what you mean are you saying that using the chain pull strategy made the boss fights too easy? It's not so much that they were easy as shallow.Spamming the same combination of chain pulls allowed you to doge attacks and close distance that would ordinarily require some complex dodging or maneuvering. Okay I see what you mean, personally for me in these types of games I don't want the end boss fights to be too hard as I don't want to spend hours on one fight. So once I worked out the strategy to beat the various bosses in DMC the repetition suited me. But I can understand your grievance

Guys for those interested this game has been delayed again for few months. Oh well I would rather have a finished product than a rushed and buggy game. Watch this video again on the IGN link that will show you some of the tantalizing horror that awaits us when this game is released http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/05/amnesia-a-machine-for-pigs-delayed-again

I have just finished the latest version of DMC (Devil May Cry) and I loved it. I'm not sure why more people don't rate it more highly. The aspects of the game I really enjoyed include The interpretation of the world beset by demonic forces who seek to control humanity. If such things were real that's exactly how they would operate. Controlling the media and financial institutions makes sense There were a huge number of combat moves and ways to make Dante really effective in combat When you died you weren't sent back too far in the game, so there wasn't this sense of frustration around death The narrative was interesting. I liked the way Vergil recruited Dante and the reasons around who they were and why they opposed Mundus If you played this game what didn't you enjoy about it?

Nice one with the weight loss, I've lost 4.5 KG since the beginning of the year. But I have started going back to gym and I'm doing 60 minutes of cardio a day. That sounds like a delicious spread you did for your friends You seem to be quite the accomplished amateur chef How dare you sir, I am no amateur! Are you a qualified chef? I was making a joke. Okay but you could have been a qualified chef, which is why I asked

Bethesda was downright lazy in Skyrim. The dungeons? Handcrafted my ass. It's the same design over and over. I haven't played Skyrim yet, I've been waiting for the Legendary edition but I will assume that nothing beats the laziness of the dungeon creation of DA2? Even I noticed that and I'm generally not critical at all

GB why don't you come live in South Africa? You can bring Tommy and we don't have the money to afford programs like Prism so you won't have your privacy compromised? I have to say I think GD would ****ing love South Africa. He's got trade skills. He could buy a big bit of land. Great food, great wine, decent beer. Plus if you get angry you can walk out, climb a tree, and punch a giraffe. Well said my friend As usual you skilfully demonstrate your impressive ability to combine humor with facts in your posts, nice one

You're not the only one "Least likely to be absolute arse" Holy Smoke, that is awesome Who did that?

That's a bunch of really glowing reviews of the hands-off demo. Hopefully that level of quality reflects on the final product, and throughout, not just in one area or act. They're making a MASSIVE world that, from all accounts, dwarfs Skyrim, so it will be a tall task to populate the whole area with interesting things to do and encounter. Hopefully CD Projekt RED can pull it off. I have faith in them. Keyrock you said exactly what I wanted to say I can't believe the number of really good reviews this game is getting, for me this is inspirational. I'm now even more excited
