I'm just more disappointed in the people in this thread gloating over invading countries and stuff. Well in Turkey it's thought that everything that was once a part of the Ottoman Empire is still rightfully theirs, that tells a lot to what their disposition would be in the case of them being left unchecked. Those Innocent people would not lift a finger or say a word in defense of the countries that would be attacked, more than likely they that would cheer. To be honest I am opposed to elements within GG and anti-GG But I still believe anti-GG needs to take more blame for the current dichotomy that exists between people who support GG and those that don't....its become unnecessarily ideological the whole debate

You make me laugh....you are right that is a completely pointless thing to include in a document about " "decommissioning a workstation" I work in software and once worked at a large Microsoft partner and my specialty was Active Directory and Exchange. I know exactly the required and normal steps to decommission a workstation and gender doesn't come into it ...there is no gender identification required to do that task, its is ridiculous to even suggest that But its also funny

Nationalism is modern. What people, culture and values are you referring to? Do the people in your country/state have uniform culture and values? And how on earth is organising around this an effective means of combating unsustainable resource exploitation? Yup, we have the same values, religion and social cues. For example, being unable to queue and cut in line makes a you social outcast who will be ostrasized by everyone. As for resources, i suggest to heavily invest in owning your own guns, self-sustainability and energy independence. Globalism however, is the accelerant to a certain doom as it centralizes political and financial power in the hands of the few and thus is the most vulnarable to big changes. Smaller, homongeneous, self-ruled, self-sustainable societies will survive in the long run. There's also the modernist component of valuing only the material as its own religion, which leaves people living empty, purposeless lives, easily corrupted by extremist ideologies who promises them a destiny they feel robbed of. Meshugger I find it hard to believe you could be so melancholic, depressed and negative about the EU and the West...does anyone else believe he is so truly negative? Yes, I agree That is why I said I don't involved, well very rarely, in Internet debates anymore on SJ issues ..like " this game objectifies women " ....its subjective and ultimately I feel more divisive within the gaming community than constructive I do exactly what you suggested, I don't financially support those games. I would not buy a game like Hoonding posted but I have no issues if others want to...there are really much more important social, economic and political things in the real world I am dealing with than to get into debates about whether " bikini armor is appropriate " But you also missed an important point I was trying to make. Its actually not about my views or your views...its about a few more basic questions that are tied to overall financially profitability of any company, including Japanese gaming companies. The real points and questions they should consider are Do we want to grow our fanbase Do we want our fanbase to include more women Are our games designed to appeal to women If the answer to 1 or 2 is NO then its irrelevant about the appropriateness of 1 and 2 ....but end of the day these are important questions and most companies in an industry like gaming will have to ask themselves sometime

Well, it depends, some women may not care much about it, some women do, personal view about the matter cannot be counted as legit argument isn't it? But the act of making character of any gender oversexualized to attract buyers is old and barbarian, i mean it is cheap. Maybe that tactic work some time ago in the 80s, but people now changed, sex is no longer a bait, but quality of the product matter, there are many factors to be considered. As we all know Japan is popular with their hentai and sexual explicit comics, they still sell such things, and this goes into their games and everything...so i think it is a matter of culture, not really about business. They have specific customers who crave such thing, and it is socially acceptable i think...i maybe wrong...it is only become a problem when they export them outside Japan...I find Japan is fascinating, they are full of contradictions...Japan is known as a place of traditions and customs where modesty is a thing, but they are also known to have overly sexual explicit stuff and gore... Yes this whole debate about the " objectification of women " in games is very subjective and the view will differ from person to person The only really valid question is something similar to " are the development companies appealing to the fanbase and the potential fanbase "? So for example maybe Japanese computer companies don't care about increasing the number of female fans....and maybe some female gamers don't care about the video Hoonding posted. Its actually irrelevant to me to be honest because I now focus primarily on SJ issues outside of gaming. So I don't make a big issues about bikini armor in some game but I can understand the argument and objection to it. I just prefer not to get into debates about it anymore But outside of the gaming industry the personal views of people influence laws and have a direct corollary to how many countries are governed. For example the right of women to get an education is a personal view of people but is enshrined in the laws of many countries So we should never ignore the impact of personal views

As far as I know, climatologists are fairly confident we've passed the point of no return and are looking forward to a mass extinction event in a few generations. You won't really have to worry about the living environment of your children and grandchildren, because chances are, they're going to die for reasons completely unrelated to various forms of violence and injustice done by their fellow men. Well I think the vast majority of refugees really believe that the West offers a real and better quality of life than the countries they come from...and this is to be expected They want security and want to live in a country where they can work and achieve economic prosperity for themselves and there families I find it hard to believe they want to immigrate to the EU so they can live in an idealistic welfare state...yes some may see it like this but I doubt the majority do. The vast majority want to contribute and do there fair share to help grow the economies of there adopted countries But if you right and objective is to just live off social grants then yes the refugees and the EU, but more the refugees, are in for some harsh reality checks in the future

I agree, the EU from an economic perspective will be under immense strain if the objective of the refugees is to live off social benefits and yes the actual issue around job creation is also valid. But where is the evidence that suggests these refugees think of a future in the EU where there children will be able to live off social grants? I am not trying to catch you out but this is a fundamental point and does directly impact the broader question of "can the EU absorb millions of immigrants "
