All advice is welcome but ideally Im looking for input from people who have played both and why you recommend one over the other

@Pidesco I just watched another discussion on CNN about " is Trump going to be prosecuted " and one of the commentators is Daniel Goldman who is a lawyer and has been council for the WH. He is now saying based on the various testimonies at the impeachment hearings that their is enough evidence to prosecute Trump and it sounds like it will be for the crime of willful ignorance. I get bored in most legal discussions and dont really follow them but Goldman is very articulate, intelligent and convincing. Now you need to find a prosecutor who will want to charge Trump? So you may be right and Trump will face criminal charges. If thats true and Trump is found guilty that really works for me because that will remove him from 2024 and we can get behind another GOP presidential candidate for those who support the GOP So if he is found guilty its good news for both the left and right but not necessarily the far right or radical left https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_S._Goldman

Random video game news... may the dice be with you!
BruceVC replied to Gorth's topic in Computer and Console
I watched the 15 minute gameplay video on Starfield and Im confident this is going to be another entertaining and worthy game from the prestigious Bethesda studio. Some take-aways the highly talented and helpful modding community will take the game from fun to superlative as usual the narrative is interesting where you have to explore numerous planets to find artifacts the combat reminds me of ME which I thoroughly enjoyed. The implementation of jetpacks is a nice touch I like the way you can customize your ship the design of having a 1000 planets is great for those like me who enjoy exploring and being rewarded. It was mentioned by Todd that some of the planets will only have mineral resources and some of them will have life. That's exactly what I expect and again its similar to ME where not all the planets have structures or aliens or living creatures I dont particularly care about all the character customizations like hair color but its nice for those who do enjoy those types of mechanics Im not going to give this game a "day 1 purchase for sure " as I will wait for reviews and player feedback but I predict this game will be a huge success And in closing, all the planets really open up the creative side of the modding community so I cant wait to see what mods we get @kanisatha and other people excited about Starfield, its going to be a good game -
The lockdowns took many things away from our societies and what many of us require to be mentally healthy and happy One of the things I missed was the ability to see peoples faces and have random conversations with strangers in lines at supermarkets and in bars. I really enjoyed talking to strangers yesterday and we all agreed how happy we were that masks are not mandated anymore I am not planning on ever wearing my mask again unless its enforced because in SA private sector businesses can still enforce it but Im not seeing that
-
Great news guys, last night in SA they removed the mask mandates so its now optional I walked into a mall yesterday and for the first time in over 2 years I didnt wear my mask I really disliked wearing my mask and hopefully I never have to do it again

I remember the first time I played F:NV and I was following the standard mission where you dont immediately get to travel to NV and you go to other places on the map as part of side quests After about 12-16 hours I was short of ammo, wounded and lost in the wasteland with a sniper companion when we were attacked by deathclaws....in order to survive I fled and left my sniper companion behind to make a final stand. His death screams will always haunt me but his sacrifice was appreciated It was night and the deathclaws started running after me and I realized death was imminent but then I went around a hill and in front of me I saw something that was the greatest sight I have ever experienced in any RPG....the lights of NV city, green and welcoming ...I was saved I have never been so happy to see a city, I entered NV and naturally did the most obvious thing any man would do who looked into the face of the Grim Reaper and survived. I immediately visited the brothel and took full advantage of my adult mods. Life never seemed so good

But I still dont understand how 1500 people polled can be considered " what Canadians think "? I have never really understood how that type of sampling can ever be considered accurate. Its interesting and I am not suggesting we handwave it but what does it really represent? Their are 38 million people in Canada so that number represents 0.0039% of the total population And where you live in a country could have a massive influence on your views, for example Volo lived in the rural areas of Canada. That influenced some of his unusual opinions At the very least I would expect this type of poll to have people from the different regions in Canada? And then the title of the link says " millions of Canadians say the election was stolen " but the truth is they asked only 1500 Canadians and only 16% of that number think that?
-
Im genuinely surprised that Canadians can be so ignorant and nearly 50 % polled would not be unequivocal about 9/11 and the fact that AQ was behind it I would interested in the data about who they asked, levels of education, where they lived etc. Because that type of confusion from a first world country like Canada I find hard to believe represents what the majority of Canadians think? Edit : I see the poll was only 1500 people, so it represents a tiny number of people. Okay its not that bad
-
Thats not the impression Im getting. Their is a difference between someone, like Trump, who believed the election was really stolen and then acted to reverse the " stolen election " like asking Raffensperger to find 11k votes and someone like Bannon who knew that Biden had won but was still claiming " the election was stolen " This is a massive distinction and it will matter when it comes to criminal charges because Trump will say " but my advisors told me I won the election". And thats not to say other advisors hadnt told him he had lost but he didnt believe them which was normal for his presidency. He trusted certain people above others But you may be right and maybe Trump did know he had lost but I dont think he did? I didnt watch every interview in these hearings so their may be something I am missing

Yes this documentary mentions the high loss of Soviet lives, something like 5 to 1 at Kursk, and how Stalin was prepared to throw millions of people into all battles during Barbarossa but their was more to it than that For example the Soviet citizens and soldiers were mostly prepared to fight and die considering the horrific carnage and war crimes the Nazis had committed against them during the invasion And also something I didnt know, the closest the Nazis came to defeating the Soviets was when they nearly captured Moscow in the beginning. And it wasn't just the early winter and the resistance that prevented this. When Stalin realized that Japan wasnt going to invade and help Germany he was able to move his Siberian units to the battle of Moscow and they made a huge difference as they were well trained and equipped You will already know much of what is in this documentary but you should watch it anyway -
Yes I agree, irrespective of the current morality of the current tactics in the east ( morality doesnt really exist in wars )its been much more successful than the initial invasion and objective Supply lines arent as much a consideration in the Donbas, remember that famous miles long supply line, and the Ruskies have much more local support for the war in the east But the initial objective did make sense because obviously if you can occupy Kiev you more or less achieve your primary goal of defeating the Ukrainian forces
-
But its also clear that Trump genuinely believed the election was stolen. As usual with these types of developments Trump had no understanding or interest in how things work. He was told by his trusted advisors like Eastman, Giuliani and Bannon that he had won and he believed it Im not sure why well informed people thought they could change the legitimate outcome of the election...what did they think they could achieve? But as far Trump is concerned he will say " I know the election was stolen because I was told it was stolen by clever people, everyone knows we won " or something similar

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5067240/ https://www.c21media.net/screenings/3dd/hitler-uncovering-his-fatal-obsession/18167/ I just watched this 2 part documentary about Hitlers obsession with occupying the Soviet Union It discusses the battle of Kursk and how the Soviets defeated the Nazis and you cant blame it on the bad weather and lack of winter clothing like the previous battles at places like Stalingrad. It was the biggest battle in the history of war with millions of men engaged. The Soviets lost tens of thousands of men but they were the superior army at the end of the day -
" estimates have been consistently inaccurate " ..Oh thats rich coming from you The long list of Russian fake news repeated on this forum in the beginning of Putins War is really the funny part of your post. Let see Russia wont invade Ukraine guys, its just a training exercise. We cant trust the US with intelligence...look at Iraq and you definitely cant trust the Western media remember " babies being thrown in incubators " Okay but now that Russia has invaded its justified because of Minsk, Nazis, Nukes and NATO...." its justified " !!! Ukraine will be defeated in a week by the mighty Russian army because they very well trained The Moskva is still sailing in the Black Sea Their was no attempt to occupy the whole country and Kiev Their are NO war crimes committed by the Russian army, its fake news or the Ukrainians killing their own citizens for propaganda purposes I can go on and on. Their has been propaganda from the Ukrainian side as well but the masters of " consistently inaccurate " have been the Ruskies and people who repeat their fake news But thanks for the laugh again
