  1. so, it turns out George Ziets is lead designer on WL3, so that gives me some hope it will turn out better than WL2 (which, as far as I'm concerned, is worse than the original game)
  2. oooh, I'm in this as well, exciting! :D just in case, I prefer to use assault rifles exclusively, and am more of a close quarters guy rather than shooting from long distances. judging by the screenies the game takes place in claustrophobic spaces, which suits me just fine
  3. Elder Scrolls Online is free to play for the next 6 days. figured I'd try it. turns out it requires 70+ GB of disk space, I don't even have a partition big enough to download and install it
  4. Hey, look, it's Agiel! and what else would he be doing but admiring a gunship
  5. Shivering Isles was pretty cool, but Morrowind is the single best Bethesda creation, and don't make me fight you over it
  6. I took the survey. Were there specific answers we had to give? yes, your answers have to convince Gollop to make his new game play similar to XCom Apocalypse rather than the original
  7. to me Destiny looked too much like Borderlands, so I'll definitely be skipping this one. but man do I wish they took pointers from Bungie in Massive and made The Division 2 a first-person shooter
  8. I too own Battle Realms and I don't even know what that game is
  9. Basically it's asking if we liked XCOM ? "just DO IT"
  10. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe5J4IFZ8kFb-56VioWvtysG0QNZDbMorsdpVPPmOXPUxs9XQ/viewform#responses take this survey, or I will think poorly of you
  11. coming from a guy with the word "Sonic" in his user handle, I'm not a bit surprised
  12. best special ops unit on the planet relegated to providing security detail for some cocaine-producing bum, just great... ugh, that's not a nice way to go... aawww, such a cute alpa... hey! no spitting! winning hearts and minds, I guess
  13. are we talking about existing games as isometric RPGs as the first post implies? 1. Deus Ex (can't stand how that game looks and plays, but would love to play a turn-based isometric version of it) 2. Wasteland (really liked it back in the day, but as more time passes it gets less and less enjoyable; the original is a less focused game IMHO, which prevented me from finishing it several times, a more polished Wasteland on, say, Tyranny's engine would've been a dream to play. 3. Fallout 3 (FO3 gave us New Vegas, but I wonder to this day, what if Black Isle or Obsidian actually had gotten to make it instead) if we're talking about hypothetical games, though I'd go with: 1. Darklands 2 2. Jagged Alliance 3 3. Syndicate something-something 4. Ghost in the Shell RPG 5. Aliens RPG
  14. the hell is this Bioware can't live without drama
  15. does Lara have a SEAL loadout available among those? so I could play the game with her looking like this: anyway, another productive day in Bolivia:
  16. Rich Evans seems to hate all games. I'm not sure his gamer credentials are in order
  17. I'm not sure I'd ever call Diablo II an RPG. seems like the term has become really broad.
  18. GOG is having a massive sale, and I took a look at what's discounted. didn't even realize they had SWAT 3 and XCom Apocalypse, grabbed them instantly. now I can finally throw away my old discs with these games, that wouldn't work properly on Win 7. thanks, GOG ;D
