I love guns in Pillars of Eternity...
FlintlockJazz replied to Monte Carlo's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Guns rocked. Need to make pistols one-handed so that you can dual wield pistol and cutlass (and add in cutlasses as well) and then add in ships... yeah okay I'm really Guybrush in disguise...

The 'Truth' behind words in RPG Codex's #1 Review for PoE
FlintlockJazz replied to constantine's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yes - disable spells and abilities. Not systems that do it for you. Why?
- Pistols one-handed after Lvlup!?

Killing backers in town should cause reputation loss right?
The Aztec Leader is a weakling compared to the awesomeness of Mola Ram!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt [2015]
I have to say, Triss is gonna get dumped here for Yenn, though that's mainly because Triss basically lied and manipulated Geralt in the first one to get her way... honest...

Killing backers in town should cause reputation loss right?
And so, the great Backer Culling began. Many would be the screams as one by one the backer characters were slain and looted. The rivers ran red with their blood.

The truth behind the words in constantine's "The 'Truth' behind words in RPG Codex's #1 Review for PoE "
I'm actually a huge fan of Dishonored, and I'm looking forward to a sequel like a madman. I've tried Assassin's Creed and Tomb raider, but for some reason I fell hard for Dishonored. The voice acting alone is marvellous. Daud, mmm... Loved Dishonored! A game in which I can try to chuck a dead body out of a window in a brothel into the ocean only to realise I got the wrong window when a scream from outside alerts me that I have actually thrown it into the main street... While I always got the Low Chaos ending I never completed a bloodless run since I always found the 'non-death' methods for taking out the actual targets to be a bit of a cop out (except for the one where you got to brand him instead).

Obsidian: PoE was critical success, so kickstart KotOR III NOW!
KotOR sucks. There, I said it, but I just don't like those games. They suxxor the gibbon. Plus EA has exclusivity over all Star Wars related games development at the moment, because you know they are ****. Did I mention that KotOR is a big pile o' wank?

FlintlockJazz replied to Smoked Brisket's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Do I have to choose one? Or can I continue to be the 'random prat who **** people around and has no friends' guy? Cause I'm good at that! Usually, it chooses you, and you'll never know. o_o So you are saying that I could part of a hivemind and not even know it? That would explain the voices in my head, and here I was worried that I was going insane! Better start doing what they say... *lights match*

FlintlockJazz replied to Smoked Brisket's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I disagree, that is what they like to think but when you have Codexers dictating to others how things should be because "that's how it was decided by the community" like I have seen then reality does not match up with their fantasy. They also try to be edgy and scandalous in order to get attention, in typical meme fashion, which is why this is going to be my last post on them as I've realised that I have fallen for it myself. They tend to remind me more of the crowd in the "Yes, we are all individuals!" scene of The Life of Brian. All those words, and all I hear is "Our hivemind is different". Which hivemind is that?

- Can't get over how good POE is & why Bioware abandoned this style of gameplay.

FlintlockJazz replied to Smoked Brisket's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Are you saying the Codex is responsible for developers being reluctant to make old school rpgs because developers think the Codex will declare it the worst thing ever? Good point, didn't think that through did I. No I'm not but I guess that is what I said, the point I was trying to make is that developers probably have less and less reason to listen to the Codex the more it seeks attention by attacking anything and everything, but I kinda wandered there I think.

RPGCodex Review #1 - Hŵrpa Dwrp
I actually lol'd for real at that. I can totally see Durance dressed as a Commissar in a 40k game. Shame it isn't deliberate with him, they could have given me lines when he does it that sounds particularly Commissary.

Wow, coming from you that is a clear case of hypocrisy at it's finest.

FlintlockJazz replied to Smoked Brisket's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)So what you are saying is that if you want to make a decent game then you need to just ignore the Codex? Suspected this as much, the Codex has, through their hate and bile, done the most harm to themselves with this kind of stuff, causing themselves to become more and more irrelevant but unable to stop themselves because the hate and bile is the only thing keeping them going now. The biggest problem is that they make the rest of us who also want old-school RPGs and the like to look bad. You've got publishers not backing these types of games and when someone does come along and make one you have these guys jumping all over it declaring it the worst thing ever, then they wonder why developers are so reluctant to make these games anymore?

People, please, let's all stay chill. Remember, this is what the meme wants us to do in order to keep feeding. Watch the following video to know what I mean, and why we are all being manipulated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE3j_RHkqJc I would do the Joker "Why so serious" thing, but I hate the Joker, I think he is the most overrated PoS character from PoS superhero comics to have ever existed. I also think Heath Ledger's portrayal of him was overrated and was pushed by the media. So I won't.

RPGCodex Review #1 - Hŵrpa Dwrp
I have to admit, it's impressive that the Haters have got people agreeing with their flaws in an attempt to meet them half-way without the haters making any effort to do so in return, when really what should happen is that the Haters are just ignored and left to their own bile. I think this video is rather appropriate to what is going on here by the way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE3j_RHkqJc

RPGCodex Review #1 - Hŵrpa Dwrp
Nothing, there is nothing important about it, they lost any relevance they had long ago through their own actions. Now, all they do is wallow in their own hate and spite.

That has to mean they're not real roleplayers, don'tchaknow? Well naturally! Can only be a True Roleplayer if you hate most of it!
-
RPGCodex Review #1 - Hŵrpa Dwrp
I have to agree, never really knew anything about them until I backed PoE. They seem to be just a rather vocal group that seems to think they get to speak for roleplayers in general while most roleplayers don't even know who they are.

Wait, people still care about the Codex?
