  1. But you did also mention the lack of designation regarding citizen/non-citizen, which is what Oblarg pointed out (and I believe Heathen was alluding to it, albeit sarcastically and ironically, correctly, with his comment about "just proposing to add a space....")
  2. I do find it funny that people seem to get really upset that a sequel to one of their favourite games doesn't pan out, and would rather the franchise "stay dead," when functionally if they hadn't bothered to pick up the sequel (which many had already decried would not be very good anyways) it'd be exactly the same as though the sequel had not been made.
  3. How many times have you beaten the game again? And why did you play a game that is so poor so many times? I never did understand that one.
  4. I like how homosexuals are implicitly equated with child molesters....
  5. Didnt count it for that, the strategy one would be the Dune II: Building of a Dinasty or the Dune 2000 who is the same game but with better graphics, the old Warcraft: Orcs and Humans was good too or the Warlords Battlecry series I'd probably recommend the original Dune over either of the other Dune games to be honest. If you're looking for a RTS game, there are better games to try than the Dune games IMO.
  6. Sounds like someone just has an axe to grind now. Muffin.
  7. The original Dune was an interesting one. It had a pretty neat narrative to go along with it, and a lot of the early stuff is more adventure game than strategy game. A ton of fun.
  8. Could also be an issue with the EA servers as well.
  9. I have a funny feeling that nearly 100% of these suspensions fall under just that..... if you ask those that lost their accounts (only innocent men in prison).
  10. This is obviously an outrage and I'm flabbergasted that Civ 4 has been so successful in light of such atrocities committed by Firaxis!
  11. I am downloading this right now. Unfortunately that will not help you take advantage of the sale.
  12. I don't know what it would take to get everyone who doesn't have a Steam version to link it through steam.
  13. So the hacking game will get to a point where the time requirement for it is instantaneous?
  14. What's the deliver mechanism for PC? Or are we just not going to bother with them?
  15. I'm not sure where you found either of those conclusions...
  16. The devs were quite open about HL:Source simply being an import of the art assets into the new engine. So you'll get some better lighting effects and physics. They cited a reason for this being nostalgia. They didn't want to change the art assets because those were THE art assets for HL1.
  17. I think you found it challenging because you still "gimped" your game, only in a different way (different than using only Real-Time Combat). When you use RTC and VATS when appropriate you see that the latter gives a HUGE advantage (and that's not even counting the flawed RTC ) No ****. Never said otherwise. But I wanted to play the game utilizing only my character skill, not my player skill. Oh wait hold on let me strikethrough some text I figured that would have been fairly blatantly obvious. This wasn't a discussion about the "appropriate" use of VATS. I said that when I played the game using exclusively VATS I enjoyed it. You then decided to illustrate be an ass and strike it out and say you disagreed. Might as well have just misquoted me and said "Fixed!" Or is that too 2008 now?
  18. North Ireland is most definitely part of the United Kingdom. Admittedly Galway is not a part of it, but would have just made more sense to say that Galway is not a part of northern Ireland.
  19. It might be misleading because I know EA's fiscal year end is in April, so ME2 was probably released in FYQ4.
  20. I found the game actually more challenging at parts when I played exclusively with vats, because it meant waiting for it to cooldown a lot.
  21. Unless of course the definition of an RPG is not particularly set in stone anyways. I consider Baldur's Gate a significantly better RPG than a game like Oblivion. There is no consensus on the definition of an RPG. There's overlaps on various things, but it's one of the weakest genre definitions out there.
  22. What I have heard is that the sales dropped off dramatically after the inital buy period. So yes, I honestly believe that it didn't sell another million copies. I believe that because it's fact. On a more serious note for Zoraptor: I don't know if those numbers indicate sell-in or sell-through.
  23. How are tax breaks in the UK going to negatively affect their Canadian studios? Enough so to counteract the benefits tax breaks would definitely give them in the UK? I know it's an easy target to just say "Oh this must be Activision or EA" but I'm skeptical that they would actively undermine the operating cost savings they would have without one heck of a valid reason.
  24. That is true, but I don't know the details of the tax breaks for the development house and whatnot. Regardless, Criterion Games (Need for Speed) is based out of the United Kingdom as well. EA would have to be getting one hell of an advantage in another way, if saving money on game development through taxes was not something that appealed to them.
