  1. I know that Volourn was the one that claimed 3 million copies. He's (incorrectly) stating that Tigranes' link say the same thing.
  2. If Jaesun isn't a heterosexual, I could understand how he might have concerns about playing a character that is decidedly sexual.
  3. I was on Normal, but was using Veteran.

  5. Tigranes' links do not indicate 3 million unit sales. Why do you continue to misrepresent other people's posts in attempts to support your incorrect statements?
  6. Doesn't EA have studios in the UK? I know they just started up a BioWare Ireland.
  7. No, it's more just that you call stuff that aren't facts, facts! Don't be all surprised and defensive when you make stuff up and call it facts, and other people call you on it. LOL
  8. I think it was one of the main reason why VATS is the way it is today. It's very imortant for the casual majority that games is as easy as possible. VATS let 'em complitely ignore aiming manually and protect 'em from damage at the same time. It's working as intented. VATS perform the same function as bullet time did in Max Payne, Dead Eye in Red Dead Redemption or whatever the new multikill system is called in Spinter Cell Conviction or DeusEx3. Meh, I consider it "accessible" but I guess it's the same thing. Or at the very least similar. To me, VATS was a way to allow the game player the option to use their character skill to attack enemies. I can understand the DR (even if I don't agree with it), because control is suspended while in VATS.
  9. Was it's purpose to make the game easier? I don't think it was.
  10. It's probably more the idea that you allege that there are facts. What makes them facts? Because you read them on the internet? It'd be easier to just say you're lazy and don't want to. But that doesn't mean that something posted on RPGCodex is a fact. And that's a fact.
  11. I killed Brayko with some close range shotgun action with my second playthrough too.
  12. Who would want to do such a stupid thing? I shadow OP'd right beside Brayko and beat him with martial arts. Then he had his cutscene where he goes crazy, and because I was right beside him, I beat him up before he was able to pull out his knives and start doing stuff. For such a "stupid" thing to do, it was probably even easier to pull off than using chain shot. It was certainly much, much faster. Plus you get some hilarious dialogue from Brayko as he screams out barks at you "Ollie Ollie Oxen Free.... whatever the **** that means"
  13. I think the idea is that VATS is designed to be able to be used for any situation. The thing I like about VATS is that it means that people that don't typically care for FPS games or their mechanics are still able to play the game. I thought it was an acceptable nod to the history of the game, and actually enjoyed playing the game using almost exclusively VATS. Can it be improved? For sure. But I had no issue with using it as it placed a bit more of the control in the character, not myself. I definitely do not think that it should have any restrictions against using it at all (i.e. an agility requirement). Making it require a certain agility score greatly diminishes it's purpose IMO.
  14. With shadow op you shouldn't have issues getting close to him.
  15. Baldur's Gate is purely character skill driven. It follows an established ruleset, but what I meant by "character driven skill systems" was more along the lines of "My character is the one that does the task, not myself." And along with Fallout, you'll find a large number of PC gamers that consider Baldur's Gate to be among the crown jewels of all RPGs. I think people put Baldur's Gate on a pedestal for some reasons that I feel are incorrect, but through and through I consider Baldur's Gate an RPG. I doubt you'd ever find me saying that it "isn't much of an RPG." Especially considering the host of other games that were considered RPGs on the computer.
  16. Repeating your definition of what an RPG is to you won't accomplish much. Many consider character driven skill systems to be required for a roleplaying game. Many of them do not even care about "choosing your own path" as being a requirement either.
  17. 1.83 sales when the game is $50 is different than when lots of them occur at $20.
  18. Ironically, one thing I loved about the original Fallout demo I played was ripping a guy to shreds with the minigun. EDIT: More a comment to the post preceding Slowtrain's
  19. Opinions from Montreal Canadiens fans need not apply
  20. I agree with Nepenthe's perspective on the issue. It likely is a "DRM Issue" because the game has been designed to require the CD-Key in its executable, and the risk of changing it is considered not worth it. This is the first I have heard of something like this happening on Steam, so I imagine it doesn't happen very often.
  21. Stating that Valve doesn't run out of Valve games is also redundant.
  22. Did he use his knife? I beat him up before he could use his knife. It wasn't that bad given I was already right beside him. He had his little cutscene where he cokes up, and when it returned I just combo'd him to death.
  23. Color me unsurprised that they haven't run out of the games they have more direct control over...
  24. I beat Brayko with martial arts. I did have Stealth though. But I only used it to start the fight. I popped up beside him, and just beat him up. It was actually trivially easy.
  25. Can you actually see what the "stock" is for a game on Steam?
