  1. It's weird to see voice actors get so hung up about residuals in interviews, considering to me it's obvious they put that demand there to have something to cut when negotiating. But I guess they can't be open about that, can they? P.S. : I don't think voice actors should get residuals, but a lot of the other demands are perfectly reasonable and I can't see why they'd bother publishers all that much.
  2. I'm not sure I'll ever get the criticism of Inquisition's characters. They were the highlight of the game for me. Though I'll give you that the central villain is pretty bad.
  3. As far as I can tell, the version that was pushed live was the same as the latest beta. That said, I'd still recommend leaving the beta branch because it's very likely that any hotfix wouldn't be pushed on there. Also, while The White March Pt.II is seemingly still a long ways off, people (including me, for what it's worth) have had bugs resulting from installing an expansion on top of the beta branch. Tl;dr -> it's better to only enter the beta branch once a new patch is published there and leave it once it goes live for everyone, saves you a lot of potential hassles
  4. Good thing I beat the Adra Dragon before this patch then, because I have no idea what kind of strategy I'd use with all those immunities.
  5. They introduced an opacity slider for when characters are occluded by the environment. I love the change and wonder why it wasn't mentioned in the changelog.
  6. Respawning enemies aren't that big of a deal. Once you learn the positioning in an area, you can easily avoid them all on your way to a boss fog door.
  7. Edgar Allan Poe's works tend to be brisk reads. You should manage just fine.
  8. Are the bugs introduced by 2.01 fixed now? Has anyone tried the patch?
  9. So, apparently Cragholdt has received an additional paintover. Any details on what the other area tweaks are?
  10. That's not the only reason they provided, though? They also explained that they made the mistake of not tracking the camping zones throughout the game, that they had difficulties establishing a clear visual language for camping zones, and that some fans reacted negatively to the mechanic (and I can vouch for that, having been on these forums pre-release). I don't think it'd be impossible to have camps in a game like this, but the reasoning for changing the system seem sound. As always, there's never a single solution to a design problem, but we know what Obsidian ultimately went with.
  11. That's correct. I believe the increased level cap and new abilities are also tied to the expansion.
  12. I thought these forums were supposed to be safe for work?
  13. The new companions seem to have about as much banter/interjections as the old ones, and definitely interact with the main game. That said, there isn't a *ton* of banter or interactions in this game compared to Obsidian's standards, and the new companions don't seem to buck the trend.
  14. For anyone who's interested, they're apparently going to have a retrospective panel on PoE at PAX Prime where they'll also discuss the future of the series.
  15. I think BAdler meant "official release" when he said "official beta".
  16. If it could eventually be done it'd be pretty cool, I think, but I don't see it fitting the current design. Maybe in an Icewind Dale-like spin-off...
  17. I don't see any reason to believe the developers would feel obligated to give elemental immunities to certain sub-races.
  18. I don't know, I can see that, but it seems mostly of the inherent vagueness of brevity. I can't really foresee a situation where someone sees that and *doesn't* click the link for more information, but if other people feel otherwise and Andrea agrees, I suppose he can always edit the message.
  19. Ok, although I think this sounds a bit misleading. What is misleading? The question asks specifically for monster damage immunities and Josh's reply is pertinent.
  20. Seems to me like they're making sure to not give the license to devs that are too expensive.
  21. I don't think there's any official word on the expansion's price/payment options. Only thing we've been told is that backers that pitched in for the expansion will get both parts.
  22. What makes you all think this game is cool, considering we only know the title?
  23. It's an hindsight 20/20 situation. I remember, back when I first learned of the Wasteland 2 KS campaign and the funding goal (a very modest $900,000) that I wasn't sure if they'd actually make it.
