  1. If you mean the proportions, the whole face seems to be designed to remind you of an animal, although I can't quite put my finger on what's it supposed to be.
  2. Good update. I agree that some of the godlike variation are a bit EXTREMEEEE although those concepts could still be used for some sort of elemental/alternative form power.. not really sure what the lore/mechanics of the race will be in the final game, but just throwing it out there (I like EXTREME superheroes, sue me!). Also looking forward to read the art style document, especially for what concerns armors. Still a bit concerned on those being a tad generic, but who knows, we've pretty much only see the standard leather-ish/adventurer outfits for now.
  3. No, it's not the same footage.
  4. http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/animation-reel-from-cancelled-aliens-crucible-rpg-discovered-on-vimeo.80664/page-3#post-2503698 Thanks. I mean, I understood it was some dev/ex-dev talking about it, but without context it was a tad difficult to parse.
  5. Ehr, a link would be helpful?
  6. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxmb1s_ac_videogames Courtesy of Unseen64. It... doesn't look good. Also obviously still heavily WIP.
  7. I am, given that without him Obsidian would have met Troika's fate and that he's responsible for keeping the company healthy about its scope and finances. Has he made a lot of mistakes? Sure, but he's clearly been able to mix a generally healthy business sense with a passion for the genre, and that's no small feat. As for Rocksteady, I haven't really seen official news of what they're working on right now. WB has announced they're publishing another Arkham game this year, and the rumor is that it's not developed by them.
  8. I really don't see it as an indication of anything, and I can see how some people in the industry might even describe the exaggerated style of the Arkham game as "highly realistic". And that's not necessarily an art style Obsidian would have to follow if they had to work on a Batman game, which to be honest, I still can't quite see as feasible. But who knows!
  9. "Highly realistic" when coupled with artist position postings, likely only means that they're shooting for a realistic/semi-realistic art style on a next-gen platform.
  10. Because I work there.
  11. It was an Alpha Protocol joke as Zoraptor noted. If I actually had a credible source on Obsidz' next project I'd newspost it on GameBanshee and then link it here
  12. Turns out the Batman game they've announced for 2013 is developed by Obsidian! Do you want to be Adam West Batman, Frank Miller Batman or Nolan Batman? P.S. : I'd say "it's a bit grasping at straws, isn't it?" but then I remember this company is about to release a South Park RPG.
  13. Good news. Hopefully it's something that appeals more to my tastes than South Park, but I guess it'll take a while before we get a glimpse of what it is.
  14. Nothing is impossible, but it's pretty damn unlikely.
  15. Go for abload.de
  16. Not really to my memory, nope. I'd imagine it largely depends on cost vs. quality, they're spending their own money on this after all.
  17. I don't know if it's a "massive" flaw, but it's so common that I find it difficult to think of games that don't present it.
  18. ... No... The BG2 intro sucked. Only because it's an eminently replayable game and it gets tedious on replays tho'. First time it was p. okay with me.
  19. To be fair, the ME1 PC port had a better control scheme and interface than the following titles on PC! Of course, it also featured dumb stuff like forgetting to include Garrus' high-res textures, so I couldn't bear to look at his blurry face while playing.
  20. From Rock, Paper, Shotgun: He also mentions some rather interesting "this almost sounds like a pitch" ideas, so head over to the article if you want to read them.
  21. I get being unhappy with DS3's PC console scheme, or gameplay, cut corners and whatever. What I don't get is how can one not notice the reliance on the active dodge/block mechanics. It's your essential and primary defense mechanic, and it's what most starkly differentiates the game from a classic Diablo clone. I really wish I could use the psyduck emoticon from Something Awful. Any chance that can be implemented, mods?
  22. It also includes the original Bard's Tale trilogy, making it a much more interesting proposition than it might seem at first! (though from the little I've played, the new title isn't exactly AWFUL either)
  23. In addition to what Serrano and Oner said, you can *also* type in keyboards. An example was asking the NPC Matt Forrestal about Snake Vargas, one of the pre-made NPCs in the original Wasteland party.
  24. The Wasteland 2 footage looks really good and in line with what I was expecting ever since the Kickstarter campaign, so that's good.
