  1. It took me a bit, but I think I know what you're trying to say The tech guys are dedicated to projects that need new tech. So something like FNV doesn't need very many tech guys since all their tech is established. (They might need the occasional person to figure out how to get something obscure in the game, but that's it.) Since Onyx is something we want to keep using in the future the tech is constantly evolving to become the best it can be and that requires more tech people. Does this answer your question? It.. does. Though I guess my misunderstanding of what exactly should a.. uhm.. tech guy do in the first place confused you. Thanks!
  2. I'd rather we have our sequels stand on their own Not to say that working on original IP isn't fun, but there's no reason a sequel can't be a great game on its own. I don't think that was Irrelevant's implication but more like 'they're doing some safe projects to continue doing some risky ones (that may not pay off, just like Alpha Protocol tanked as far as sales and reviews are concerned)'. And honestly, while I like what I heard so far (not enough info to form an opinion though), Dungeon Siege III doesn't strike me as a particularly risky project, with all due respect.
  3. And then canceling it! P.S. : Yeah, I was talking of a certain Obsidian project led by a certain developer that now works on a certain Fallout game.
  4. Meh, they're probably going to release their first gameplay footage at GamesCom or some similar convention. At this point my excitement has a bit waned, so I just hope they don't pull a Dragon Age II and show the game when it's ready to be shown.
  5. [funcrocmode] Ossian working on their own fantasy IP [/funcrocmode]

  7. But you're going to do mkreku? Run a test with every girl and boy on the planet to see if they're ready to have sex?
  8. This only makes more and more interested in playing Gothic 2.
  9. From the feedback I've gathered it's actually better. I've just played the demo for both though, so I don't really know.
  10. You forgot the r00fles.
  11. To be honest, I'm not sure. I've finished it right now (the Lambda Complex broke my poor gamer heart, since I wasn't able to save the guard that helped me.. as for Xen, it was every bit the mess they described me, those damn jump puzzles...), and I can understand why it was revolutionary at the time, and though it hasn't aged perfectly, it was still great fun to play and had some genuinely brilliant pieces of level design. Right now, I'll either start with HL2 + episodes or being a Gothic 2 playthrough. I'll think about it a bit.
  12. They've tweaked it. Whether they fixed it or not in your opinion, I don't know. What was wrong with it, except that the animations don't really look that current up close. The angle was completely wrong, meaning that there was a disconnect between where your character was aiming and where the cross hair was. In general, I found it a bit messy.
  13. Wait, what? I always did this all for free and now you come and tell me you've been paid? Srsly? Srsly?!11!
  14. To be honest, the mysticism was introduced as soon as the first season. I would have preferred it as a hard sci-fi show, but hey, it's enjoyable even with all the mysticism. Just try to prepare mentally for the finale. You'll have to eliminate your logical reasoning and just accept it.
  15. And how far are you? Forget about Freeman chapter/section.
  16. Still playing Half Life. I have the feeling that it already reached its peak an hour or two ago, and that now it's dragging. And I haven't even reached Xen yet.
  17. They've tweaked it. Whether they fixed it or not in your opinion, I don't know.

  20. To be honest (granted, I've never played the spin-offs) I did find Fallout 3 faithful to the setting. The execution left a lot to be desired, but that's just because Bethesda's writers are bad. I mean really bad.
  21. I certainly didn't expect him to mention Ace Attorney Investigations, lol.
  22. Me neither. Well, maybe there is hope after all.
  23. I don't know. I haven't seen anything of the game and know nearly nothing about the mechanics. It's more about curiosity than about wishing it was still alive (mainly also because I'm not a super Aliens fan).
